This book gets 2 separate reviews from me and the reason is the background knowledge you have before coming into it, as well as the outdated knowledge (which happens regarding a book written in this year as I am well aware). I am an acute care oncology registered nurse so ALL of the topics she presented I already knew and for this reason, I give it a 3. HOWEVER for those that do not work in this field of health care (especially those with a cancer diagnosis) this is a fabulous, uplifting book with great tips to help beat your disease - or at least help you to be at peace with the diagnosis (and for this reason I give it a 4).

Levine walks you through her own cancer diagnosis and discusses her 'tips and tricks' that helped her to beat the odds. Spiritually empowering and incredibly uplifting, this book offers generalized and basic help to those touched by cancer and is written in such a way to expand the knowledge for those that have none prior in this area. She gives you the platform to jump off of to take the reigns and fight for your life

This is a good and uplifting encouraging book covering the basics of how to help yourself beat cancer... positive attitude, being your own advocate, educating yourself, surrounding yourself with a supportive network and fighting to survive. Though it's 15 years old all the ideas are relevant today, though there may be new drugs and treatments available.
