This is book 2 in the Austin series and I have to say C.J has killed or with these books. She is amazing telling a story deep in love, laughter and sexual chemistry with so much passion and depth.
This book trashes of where book 1 finished with Mia and Gabe continue with the highly emotional and sexy relationship. Although the pair have only known each other for 2 weeks it is clear they share a special relationship. and when their own insecurities come between the two main characters they must make a decision about the love for each other.
Again Mia's best friend lexi plays a big role in this story and her quick wit and humor brings a whole new story line to these amazing characters. We also meet Gabe's best friend Doug who had quite a crush ob the pregnant lexi although he has no idea.
my only dissapointment worth this story is that there sena like so much going on and on such a small amount of time. but somehow c.j makes it work.
This is an awesome start to a very clever abs delightful author!

I received an ARC for an honest review...
This was a great second book. Gabe and Mia continue to navigate their "relationship" the best they know how. They both continue to do things that bother the other although I feel Mia does this more on purpose instead of tackling things head on.
I understand they are both young and trying to find their way through their first adult serious relationship while dealing with their own baggage.
I really love Lexi and how she has come into her own more. She has her own set of problems and is still a loyal wonderful friend to Mia. She is a very strong character that is hard to not love.
They both carry heavy loads in this book that you learn more about. Their chemistry they can deal with it's the other stuff they are muddling through. They are young and it shows. I am proud of Gabe for working hard through his issues and being a little more emotionally accessible this time around.
I enjoyed this book. If you can't feel things good or bad then it's not worth reading a story. This one continues on the emotional journey.

God, its sooo boring. I mean relationship-wise, it's pretty well documented, the different stages of a relationship. Other than that, it's lust lust lust. Give it a break already! Have some fucking drama in there. It's all "I love you so much MIa", and "I love you Gabe" (googly eyes). -_-
And I don't understand how Mia won't fucking go see a doctor as fast as possible. I mean , hello, Gabe's mom just suddenly died. How can she not understand her health will affect Gabe.
Am I the only one that thinks Mia is a little slutty? And she is such a contradiction. First, she's afraid Gabe only loves her bc of the fantastic sex and she gives this two night no sleepover idea. The first thing she does when she is on the phone is do phone sex or face time sex. What a hypocrite. Ever just asked Gabe about his life?

Mia and Gabe continue their story together, both so scared to hurt each other! Mia finally admitting to herself the feeling she has for Gabe is truly love! It scares her so much she doesn't want to believe it herself but finally gives in! Mia, between her health concerns and her best friend's pregnancy, hopefully she is able to lean on Gabe to help her get thru it all! Book 2 is much better than the first! I really could not put it down. I was so eager to see what was going to happen next. And I still want more. Really good story.

Holy cow! I am so hooked!!! Mia, Gabe, Lex's story continues and WOW does it continue! This series is going to get me fired at work. I'm as desperate as Mia is for the next book! Book hangovers are the best kind! And you will certainly not be able to put it down! Sexy, funny and fun! Scream, smile, laugh and be very angry! I simply can't get enough!

The story continues for Gabe and Mia. I think this is such a beautiful book. The connection between them is just unbelievable, their chemistry is just off the charts!
Mia likes to keep pushing Gabe's buttons and she's a stubborn and feisty little thing. But that doesn't stop Gabe from feeling the way he does for her. He is so utterly and madly in love with this girl and even though she likes to irritate him, he can't seem to stay mad at her for a long period of time. The love they share is way too strong for them to part ways. They have a beautiful connection. Mia is just as in love with Gabe as he is with her. She finally starts opening up to him and admits to him that she loves him and she feels like she can't live and breath without him.
Lexi and Doug are also supporting characters in this series and they are both great friends to Gabe and Mia. Lexi is having issues of her own with her getting pregnant and not knowing who the father is. She is struggling to decide what it is she wants to do with this pregnancy. Mia is there for her and she will support her in whatever decision she makes.
Mia has her own issues to worry about. She kept stalling in getting checked and when she finally does, she needs to get operated and now she's scared. Gabe and Lexi are there for her though so she's not alone in this.
I am anxious to find out what happens in the third book with Mia and Gabe, what challenges will come their way now. I need to find out what the heck is going to happen in the rest of the series. So much mystery is bound to happen and I'm looking forward to finding out!
Ms. Fallowfield, I desperately need to read the third book as I am hooked on this series. I am in love with the characters in this book. The sex is just scorching HOT!!
If you like to read steamy and sexy novels, this is the perfect series for you. It's not all just about sex, there's actually a plot to the story. Believe me.... you won't regret it if you start reading this series. I highly recommend it.

Baggage & Buttons was the steamiest book yet!! Not only is it hot, its full of passion and love as well. I’m actually still trying to pull myself together. Definitely hawt hawt I fell in love with Gabe and Mia in the first book and the love keeps on rolling. This is not your aunt Martha’s erotica this is eyes popping out of skulls and people fainting and having heart attacks. In this installment these two lovers have some obstacles to overcome I’m happy to report that they seem to be made for each other. Yummy yummy warning!

I love this series I really enjoy Fallowfield’s writing the way she incorporates the wit and charm with the steam and passion. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book quite so detailed that I’m 100% drawn to. All other erotica books should pick up some pointers from this series

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT - THIS SERIES JUST GETS BETTER & BETTER!
Book 2 in The Austin Series continues Mia and Gabe's love story ...
...as they begin to develop as a couple. The sex is sizzling (amazing sex scenes, seriously delish) and love for one another is so intense it scares the hell out of them. In this book we can see their relationship become about more than just sex, although that is still off the chart hot! Gabe is the epitome of the alpha male yet has a kindness to him that all women crave for and many don't find. Mia is his world. However, Mia is growing as a young woman and a feisty one at that and whilst she loves his attention she can't stand his need to know her every move yet is torn as she loves him like no other.
Seeing how their relationship is unfolding is such a great page turner, as you root for them to fight for true love. *Their story also tackles endometriosis, something I've unfortunately experienced myself and Ms. Fallowfield gets it spot on!
I love Lexi too. She is an interesting character and hers and Mias friendship is fabulous to read - just love their humour, I can totally relate to it! I can't wait to see what happens with Lexi and Doug, Gabe's best-friend, I feel like there's something special there, waiting in the wings. You also find out a little more about both Mia & Gabe's families in this book and it leaves you wanting much more.
Yay, guess what? There are four more books to read, thank God! So, forget the ironing, washing, work, kids, real sex with the Hubby, and cuddle up with Gabe - jeez he's scrummy. Why weren't the male students like him when I was at Uni?

Book two in the Austin Series follows this young couple as their new relationship faces its first tests. The chemistry is still insane and the sex is off the charts, but they both have to deal with difficult pasts and new challenges. You'll be cheering them on and hoping they find a way to work through their issues because you won't be ready to say goodbye to them either! Once again, we are surrounded with all the details of Mia and Gabe's world, and we get to know the characters even more and really fall in love with them, flaws and all. Mia and Gabe's relationship is fantastic - they have to work hard to be together and accept each other without losing themselves, but it makes you love them more. And Mia and Lexi's friendship provides a great counterbalance - humour and honesty and unconditional support. I love the writing style of this series - it's very real and relatable, and rich in details. I couldn't put the book down and moved straight onto Forever and an Engine when I finished!

This is the second book in "The Austin Series". Gabe and Mia both have very dominate personalities yet have found love with each other. As the story progresses we learn more about their lives and some of what their futures have to deal with. There is so much about Gabe that I love and I understand his dominate ways even when I sometimes feel it may be to much. Mia is defiant way to much in my opinion with Gabe. She is so worried about Gabe dealing with his past that she doesn't see that hers affects her more than his does his. She is using alcohol as a way to deal with anything that scares her and I see that causing more problems in the future.
I love the authors way of presenting us with their pasts, current problems and having us guess what the future will hold for them both.
I am totally addicted and look forward to the next book.

I have truly fallen in love with Mia and Gabe’s story. There is no denying the physical and honest love between these two. They face some big issues, but their love will (I believe) overcome all. I am totally and utterly captivated by these books. They are so well written with great detail. The characters are so well developed, I honestly feel like I know them and feel what they feel.
I also love the relationship of Mia and her best friend Lexi. Lexi is great!!!! I can’t wait to see where her and Doug go from here.
Gabe is….. WOW!! Oh I can’t wait to get more of him.

Mia has finally realized that what she shares with Gabe is more than chemistry and that she is in love with him. Does this stop either one of them from that insecurities? I love Lexi and Mia’s relationship.

Book 2 in the Austin series leaves off where book one ends. The roller coaster of raw sexual desire, romance, and emotion continues yet again. I received the first book for free for an honest review and immediately purchased this one when I finished book 1. You will not be able to put this book down. It brings out the naughty sexuality deep inside us all. A strong independent female learning what it is to love someone and a equally independent and dominant male obsessed makes for lots of ups and downs. But the sex is amazing and kinda makes you feel a little dirty for wanting to watch, lol. Again.. Cliffhanger! Immediately bought book 3.

It’s a very detailed story about what happens during the next 8 days during this book. Lexi and Mia must make a decision about each of their health issues. I can’t say anymore without giving away the story.

I really like these characters. So many times you read a book and they gloss over the ins and outs of what relationships are really like. This book does not do that. It goes into depth about the relationship between Mia and Gabe. You get to see every insecurity and fear and EVERYTHING in their relationship so much so you feel like you are in the relationship with them. I really liked that aspect. I liked this book even more than the first book. There are six books in the series and they are not short reads by any means. I will definitely be reading all of the books, so I am moving on to the next book. :)

4 really good stars ;) The beginning and ending of each book is amazing then in the middle it kinda meh. I hate to say this but there a little too much sex and not enough story. But when the story is there I love it!
I love the relationship between Lexi and Mia ! It actually feels like I'm with my best friend! Lexi is hilarious and I love how there rolls kinda of reverse since Lexi is the sex vixen then Mia totally took over that roll.

Once again C.J. captured my attention for the first chapter since I just had to know what was happening to Mia, Gabe and Lexi from New Leaves, No Strings. Who’s story I couldn’t let go of or forget.
C.J. Fallowfield weaves this beautifully, emotional, sensually hot love story of two young people have more then enough baggage from the past that should keep them apart yet against it all they have this undeniable connection that continues to draw them together.
Be prepare to ride a roller coaster of emotions from laughter to tears with kleenx or tissue by your side.

Love the story. I must say I wanted to read more. The story explains more on Mia's relationship with her dad and family. Mia is trying to understanding her relationship with Gabe. Gabe is trying not to be overprotected. There romance is getting stronger. I'm also loving the other characters Lexi and Doug. I wanna read more. Also there's a lot go questions that I wanna know about that I'm sure it's will continue in the next books. Also it's gets me mad to see how naive Mia can be going to clubs and getting drunk and not realizing her surroundings.

How could one NOT continue with this series?? All I want to do is call in sick, shut off my phone and tell the family to order take out so I can live in the fun and romantic world of Gabe and Mia! I adore these two, as well as their friends, Lexi and Doug! The writing is incredible, hilariously witty banter and scorching hot romance like I'm sure I've never read before! There is enough angst to keep the tension strung tight and I just can't wait for my next stolen moment to jump in to the following book! Very well done, Ms. CJ, you have a dedicated reader right here!

A great follow on from the first book. Both Gabe and Mia have lots of baggage that they need to. Gabe wants Mia to be in a relationship but Mia is really reluctant. To make matters worse a big misunderstanding highlights the baggage they have more and creates havoc. Can Mia let Gabe in or does she still want to stick to her no strings agreement. What will Lexi do ? A great read full of emotion, drama and passion. I love Gabe he's sex personified.

So this installment in the series finds both Mia and Lexi dealing with health issues; if you've read the first book then you know what Lexi is dealing with, but I kind of suspected what was going on with Mia. Because there's so much going on, it's hard to forget that with this book, Mia and Gabe have only known each 2 weeks. Still plenty of witty banter with the characters, and I was even impressed that Gabe extended his apology to Lexi after what transpired at the end of book 1.

This series keeps getting better and better. We see more in depth of Mia and Gabe s relationship. Gabe loves Mia so much, that he is so afraid of losing her that he wants to control her in every way, but Mia was her independence and this is the main reason for their arguments. Mia realizes her true feelings and that she does love Gabe. Mia has some health issues and that's where we are now. can't wait for the next one

Second book in the series and did not disappoint. Again really well written, love character development and hilarious interactions, especially between Mia and best friend Lexi and Gabe is just so caring of Mia, I'm falling in love with him myself!! Lots of steamy action that got my pulse racing. Can't wait to spend Sunday reading the next one!!

Really enjoyed this book- was totally hooked!
The books are very well written and keep you wanting to read more and more.
At first I was a little dubious as the main characters are so young but I forgot that in the end. The sex scenes are really well written and descriptive - can't wait for the rest x

Absolutely loving the continuation of Gabe and Mia's journey. .. still raunchy but developing an understanding of each other. I feel involved in their lives and am now onto book 3 and cant wait to see hiw their relationship evolves... a brilliantly well written perceptive book xxx

Another great read! I am loving how the story is progressing between the lives of Gabe and Mia and how Lexi's life is changing and progressing as well. Looking forward to the next read in the series.
