This true story of a juvenile delinquent set in London in 1956 of how a boy is sent away and brutalised by the system that supposed to rehabiltate but turns boys into hardened criminals and releases them back into society. Excerpt: I walked back to the bus stop and got a bus to Brixton there was this illegal club called Bishops I knew and I stood by the bus stop and a black guy with dreads came up and stood behind me. "Ganga" he whispered. "Yeah fiver deal" I whispered back. "Give me fiver" "No you give me ganga then I give you money" I replied. Excerpt: I saw the horror on his face as I snatched his tray, threw the hot contents in his face then beat him with it until the red blood squirted out and hit the white-washed walls then he slumped to the floor screaming and covering his head as I kept hitting his head with the side of the metal tray and kicking it with my big hard leather shoes.
