I'm not a reader who always checks out a book's description before reading it, so one of the surprises I got with this book is that it holds two completely different stories within. For two very short books, I was pleasantly surprised to find characters that were well-formed and several plot twists within both stories that caught me off guard. These are some of my favorite things in a book.

In the first book, a young woman is seeking God and living her life not really looking for love when a young man who doesn't believe in God comes into her life. She does nothing more than live a genuine life of faith and love to capture his heart as God works in him to bring him back to faith - through those surprising twists.

In the second story, a young woman finds herself lost and empty. She has had everything she loves ripped from her life, but due to her grandmother's legacy of faith, she marches forward with her life, determined to make something of it. She doesn't trust herself to love again, but a mystery draws her close to a man who's connection with her grandmother is both intriguing and completely unforeseen.

Combined, these stories make for a pleasant, engaging read. Expounded a bit, I think each one would stand on it's own very well. I highly recommend Legacy and Love for a rainy, snowy, or just need to curl up and escape from the world afternoon.

I was given a copy of this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Two charming stories of faith and love kept me turning pages until the end and sad there wasn’t more.
The Prayer Shawl finds Sean and Hope connecting through the handmade shawls Hope makes for her patient and friends while they stay in the hospital where she works. Each stitch is made with a prayer, something that Sean, even though raised in the faith, doesn’t understand. Hope can’t live without her trust. Will it be strong enough for both of them?
Inheritance finds Alex Lyndon at a crossroads in her life when she loses her job and her Granny dies unexpectedly. Attending the reading of the will, Alex discovers her Granny has left her with more than the little cottage in Tennessee, and she learns her real wealth comes in the discovery Granny is a writer.
Chase Carson is Granny’s publisher and has come to Tennessee to find the manuscript for the final book. He and Alex search for the CD or handwritten transcript, but someone else is searching, too.
While they turn the cottage upside down looking for the manuscript, they uncover Granny’s secret life and perhaps her final plan to bring Alex and Chase together.
Ms Mowery weaves her own faith and love into the stories. Don’t miss these heart warming tales.

An absolutely excellent book on how to leave a lasting legacy by your actions as a Christian.
2 Wonderful examples of people who quietly did what God wanted of them and how it affected the World around them because of it.....
You just really need to read this book......
God bless you
