it's safe to say that on the weirdness scale, it's a solid three out of ten. i was genuinely taken aback by the incredible wholesomeness of this book.

poppy is an art student (i already love her) and she discovers her muse within the pages of her sketchbook. she is particularly captivated by the vibrant energy of the bustling crowds at the nearby zoo. eager to capture the essence of anonymous figures, she embarks on a day of sketching. little does she know, her plans are about to take an unexpected twist.
as fate would have it, she crosses paths with sebastian, a charming individual, accompanied by his enigmatic and somewhat impolite friend, keane. these two people hold a secret that goes beyond anyone's wildest dreams, and the pressure they're under keeps increasing as time goes by. poppy becomes entangled in a web of twists and turns, bound to both sebastian and keane by a set of intriguing knots that may forever alter her life.
wow, the story sounded absolutely captivating and it truly lives up to its promise. even the background story had me hooked, and i couldn't help but wish for a deeper exploration of it. however, i must admit that the story concluded a bit abruptly, leaving me yearning for more.

keane's jealousy as a boyfriend was undeniably adorable. his desire to be overprotective of sebastian, coupled with his heartfelt reasoning, was truly heart-wrenching.

sebastian's gentle and soft-hearted nature made him an equally endearing boyfriend. he exuded the warmth and affection of a golden retriever, and it was clear that he was a genuinely kind and gentle person.
keane and sebastian are truly a perfect match, and i was worried that poppy's presence would complicate things, but she actually made their dynamic even more enjoyable. i longed for more moments with the trio, as they brought so much joy.

i'll say that dive into this read for a delightful and heartwarming experience! it's a perfect blend of fun and wholesomeness, without delving too much into the erotic realm. don't overanalyze or ponder about the intricacies of the characters' intimate encounters or the mechanics of their unique anatomies 👀

I struggled so hard through the first chapter because this wasn’t edited at all. Or if it was, very minimally. This is all written in first person POV- meaning I, me, my. But there was random hers thrown in, like maybe the author started it in third person but changed to first and missed several.
Examples:
“greeted her”
“I shook her head”
“I shuffled her backpack on my shoulder again”
I made it through chapter 2 before giving up. Keane and his thoughts were a nightmare to get through. He was not like-able at all. Apparently he’s gonna be a MMC too but he’s really jealous/possessive over Sebastian, the other MMC, when they meet Poppy (FMC) Honestly, that’s a clever name given the nature of the book lol.

Don't let the cover fool you, let it pull you by the string and take you on a journey you never knew could be so good.
I'm not a stranger to Vera Valentine. Let me tell you that picking up one of her books again is like a sigh of relief. Her prose and writing style is like a silk satin ribbon that glides along my brain.
The story itself is short, sweet and a good pick me up if you want a quick palate cleanser. I haven't read in what feels like a while and I'm glad it was one of her books that brought back my joy in losing myself in a story.
One thing I really appreciate about Miss Valentine is the maturity of her characters.
Pick it up. You won't be disappointed <3

this was definitely WEIRD, but i lowkey enjoyed it ngl 😭😭😭 it was a fun read and it made me giggle. the 2 mmc’s relationship is SO cute and then when the fmc comes into the picture 👀 one of the men don’t like her at first but whewwww 😮💨 if you’re curious enough and don’t mind the fact that these men have to have air blown into their mouths to inflate their yk what 🤠 feel free to read it✨

Wished it was longer!
I was very uncertain about this book, given that it involved balloon shifting, but was pleasantly surprised. I liked all the main characters and thought they fit together well. The lore was unique and interesting. I was sad there wasn’t as much detail during the love scenes, but there was still enough to paint a picture. I would have liked more story to get to know the characters better and how they would work together longer term.

This was free for stuff your kindle day recently and curiosity demanded I read it. LOL It was just as weird and bonkers as you’d imagine (seriously, did I ever think I would read a balloon shifter Omegaverse lite romance novella?!) It’s a super quick and unique read that doesn’t make the most sense at times, but parts were surprisingly wholesome and sweet. Kudos to the author for the creative anatomy choices and use of breath ;) Because it’s a novella there isn’t much character development, but I liked everyone and this was a fun read. I do wish there had been more on page interactions with all 3 main characters though (we’re told briefly about their fun times, but only get an on page MM and a MF scene). Also, the ending wraps up very, very quickly and the big bad our characters have been trying to escape is dealt with in just a handful of sentences. I see there’s a “squeakquel” though and I’m helpless to resist it. LOL
