A heartfelt book about their new life on the prairie. Dad goes for a tree and they are very worried because of the blizzard conditions. He comes back Christmas day with a barrel from back home. You could feel the families fear. It was a great book and I loved the "tree".

The illustration and colors are really nice.
And the painting style for illustration is quite different from other books.
