When Morgan finds out he's pregnant, it comes as quite a shock. It's the wrong time of year for a dragon to get that way, and he and his lover, Wade, just aren't that close. Are they? So Morgan leaves his place in Santa Fe for the the old family home in Colorado mountains to have the baby and figure out what to do.

Wade knows something is up when he goes to find Morgan, and the condo he lived in has been sold. So he tracks his mate down, because he knows Morgan is just that, and they set about figuring out how to live with each other.

Which is great, except they have to deal with an old frenemy, a house that seems to be closing in on them, and the fact that everything, especially their relationship, is completely different. Can they navigate all the new problems that come their way together?

This is one of the very many dragon series MM’s by the author. I didn’t realize that I have been reading all of the books in this series. I grabbed this comfort read because of the bright cover and the handsome cover guy.

Don’t read a Minerva Howe if you’re hungry! Though, there is a lot less emphasis on full meals and more of a sweet tooth theme for the newly pregnant omega dragon, Morgan. Wade is his dragon mate and they have been circling each other for four hundred years, both not in a hurry to make a commitment. They have frequent hookups with each other, though they live far apart.

The story begins with Morgan expecting from the first page. He takes off from his modern city life to hole up in the dragon homestead on the mountain, but none of his family is there and Morgan does not know why.

This ‘where are they?’ plot line ran all through the story.
The baby dragon and its birth took a back seat.
Wade shows up looking for Morgan and they accept their relationship. All low key, all low heat.

There are other nice characters who show up on the mountain along with a bit of a mystery ending and reunion.

A quick, nice read with no dragon shifting in this one.

Wade by Minerva Howe was a fine read. I didn’t really connect to Morgan and Wade and wondered why they had denied their connection for 400 years. The disappearances from the Dragon Veil universe continues in this one so I am not really sure that this could be read as a standalone. It connects to so many other stories in this universe. I was confused by Daniel. Did he and Morgan really date (be intimate) or was Morgan just flirting with him while stringing Wade along? It felt weird when he came to stay with Wade and Morgan and their connection was never really explained.

I received an ARC from GRR for my honest review

I really liked it. It has that vibe of the hidden dragons books (including Stormy), plus the suspense of "what now" of the last series in the dragon veil universe. And that comes with all the things I previously liked about those books.
I hope we get a story about Stormy, he feels like an "always the bridesmaid, never the bride" character.

Morgan is not sure what to think when he discovers he is pregnant. Timing is not right for conception but is for the activity. He never planned on having a baby. So, he sells his condo and takes off for the family home in the Colorado mountains to decide what comes next. Wade senses something is wrong, a belief that is proven correct, when he finds Morgan is gone. Tracking him down is easy and now the two will determine what needs to be done.

Morgan is so much fun. His hormones go crazy and so does he for a bit. Wade is there for him and even though Morgan does not want to acknowledge it the two are mates. Their hideaway gets crowded when they are joined by a frenemy, a midwife, and a familiar. They will need all the help they can get when the house seems to be losing in on them and all doors and windows lead back inside.

These books are so much fun to read. There is a touch of the known and then a touch of the unknown. Morgan is a bit unique with his free spirit attitudes and Wade is just as unique for accepting that. Adding a baby changes everything. Exciting, uniquely their own, and fun to read make Wade and the other books keepers and stories not to be missed. Pick it up and enjoy while having some fun immersed in the story.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book and this is my very own opinion.

I do love the Dragon Veil universe!

Wade and Morgan were another connected/not connected story in the dragon veil universe and I love these little almost asides. They have all the good bits of the larger books but are compact, quick reads. I do admit, this wasn’t my favourite (though I did still enjoy it). I couldn’t quite get my head around Wade and Morgan not realising in 400 years that they had something. I could understand if there was longing on one side and obliviousness/trauma on the other or if there had been some kind of massive misunderstanding but it just didn’t quite compute and it took me out of the story a bit. That being said, this still had all the fun of a Minerva book and whilst it might not be my favourite it was definitely a fun read. We’d gotten to almost ‘the end’ of the mystery in the last veil book but it was brought back again with Wade quite reasonably wanting to know where everyone had gone. So it was fun to get the intrigue in a lighter fashion again. Very much a fun afternoon read!

Fast paced dragon mpreg

A good addition to the Solitary Dragons series, though it probably won't make much sense in regards to the 'journey' if you haven't read the previous books in the series.
Wade and Morgan have been doing the hook up thing for many years by now Morgan finds himself pregnant and just move back home to the mountains, and Wade follows. It's a merry dance that the magic leads them on whilst there, along with their friend Daniel. It's also good to have Stormy back, however briefly.
I wouldn't say there was much romance in the story. At the pace it goes, it's more focused on moving the characters to the end point of the story and bringing everyone together. I still enjoyed it, another low angst, fated mates story in the Dragon Veil universe.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

This was a sweet, enjoyable read, well set up in the blurb. Pregnant omega dragon Morgan flees to the Colorado mountains, alpha dragon Wade knows something is happening so tracks her down, then they settle in to wait for the baby. But relatives are missing, they are stuck in the house with a rival, the house keeps expanding, and they have no idea what is going on. The main goal is to keep Morgan and the baby safe as they try to figure out what is happening.
A bit of a mystery, a pregnancy and birth different from other mpreg books and authors I have read, but makes as much sense as the other, great characters, and lots of cookies. Entertaining and engaging with a HEA for Morgan and Wade but a cliffhanger on the mystery. Fun way to spend an hour or two.
I received a copy of this book and this is my voluntary review.

"But you’re so…so… Alpha. You make me want to hit you in the head with a rock.”

This is book 4 in the Solitary Dragons series by Minerva Howe. This novella was the shortest in the series and was one of my favorites

Morgan needs to leave the city so he sells everything and heads for his family home in the mountains. Morgan's brothers are missing when he arrives. When Wade finally hunts Morgan down, to his family's home, he discovers his sister is missing too. Stormy, the dragon midwife, shows up just in the nick of time.

You'll have to read the story to find out what happens, no spoilers here.

Mysterious things are afoot, treasures are found, wonky things are going on to the mountain home, old frenemies can be helpful when needed

I enjoyed Morgan and Wade’s story. It was a nice, sweet short story with cute characters. I am captivated by these books where the characters experience these odd changes in their environments. It is nice to see their reactions and wonderment at the changes.

I liked these characters and was really happy to see Stormy again. I find him to be so adorable. With it being a short story, he didn’t have as much visibility as other books. I want more Stormy and I’m hoping he appears in future books, hopefully with more exposure.

I’ve read other books from this universe, by this author, so everything made sense to me, even the ending. I’d recommend being familiar with prior books before reading this one. They are all great.

A quick and light read. Book 4 was just as delightful as the previous books. Dragon mates...working through their relationship that might have started out rocky but end up lovely. Morgan and Wade had an on and off relationship over decades but their little bundle of joy brought them together...then there is the mystery of the magic that is going on around them...ongoing mystery throughout the books. So this can be read as a standalone but really is more enjoyable if you get into the mystery of the missing dragons. Very Nice ending...

Morgan and Wade story was interesting with a continuing mystery rhat ended up with bringing two families together.
Their past and continuing chase was endearing and I absolutely adored the catalyst that brought them together forever.
I liked the friends and the help they got along the way when they needed as well as all the changes that leaded to the grand reunion.
I liked to see how their feelings deepen, how they learn to lean on each other, and be truthful with what they feel.
I totally adored the bundle of joy that joined them as well as the majestic familiar.
I liked the story and I'm looking forward to see what happens next.

Amazing!

I loved this book! Morgan has been running away from Wade for centuries but when he finds out he’s pregnant, he heads for his brother’s house in the mountains where Wade will find him. Things start to get strange once they are both in the house and they find they can’t reach any of their siblings. An old friend comes to help and even stranger things begin to happen. There is a visit from our favorite midwife Stormy, just in time. After baby Avery is born, all becomes right again and the two will find out exactly where their siblings have been.

I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.

Half a story?

I really wanted to like this book more than I did, as I have followed along (and enjoyed) the various Dragon Veil series since the beginning. The story jumped right in, with Morgan already pregnant and running away to the mountains to ride things out. Wade chased after him (again), despite not having worked things out between them in *centuries*. There’s more questions than answers here for me about pretty much everything. The addition of friend/rival/frenemy Daniel didn’t make much sense to me either. In the end, I found the novella was just okay (purely my opinion) and was left less than satisfied with the experience.

Delightful. Wade and Morgan have been hooking up for years. Wade always leaves after their trysts and Morgan is happy. One morning, Morgan realizes he's pregnant. He realizes he must move and isolate. He flees to his brother's house. Wade, feels a disturbance and knows he must look for Morgan. They accept their relationship is not as casual as they thought. Great story of missing siblings, old friends reconnected, expanding houses and just a shift in known reality. this story fits in very will in the Dragon Universe. Seems like an excellent community is developing. Excellent cover art! Nicely done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Lovely well written novella, part of the Solitary Dragons series set in the Dragon Veil Universe. This passed away a wet and dreary summer’s afternoon (I’m in the UK, it’s what we get) and I was glad to be back with Minerva’s dragons. It was great to see Morgan and Wade, along with their friend Daniel, face the challenges of the disappearing world and finally making their way ‘home’. Lovely cameo appearance from Stormy. I always enjoy my time in the Dragonverse and hope that we still have more to come.

fuzzy little bundle of scales, bouncy boogyman, ugly couch, mouse breath, Mary Poppins

This novella is quirky, sassy, hilarious, and sweet. It's also clever, wildly imaginative, and very engaging. The world-building is marvelous and fantastic. There's magic and some mystery that enchants and doesn’t let you go. The characters are all wonderfully portrayed and loveable. It's Morgan who is the sharp-tongued and sassy one, but is adorable too. Although this is very short, it's highly enjoyable and satisfying. I recommend it.

Wow! I absolutely loved this book. Amazing characters and wonderful plot. Very beautifully written and easy to read.

Morgan finds out he’s pregnant so he gets away to the old family home in Colorado to figure out what to do. His mate, Wade tries to find him, but the condo he’s lived in been sold. But Wade follows him and they both figure out what to do and how to navigate their relationship. I loved their chemistry and passion. They were made for each other.

Overall I loved this book very much. If you’re looking for a dragon romance then you’re going to love it.

Dragon mates, hoards, a hawk, and a baby. What could be better?

I have missed being here. I was drawn in from the first pages. I have been waiting for this book! This time around, we follow Wade and Morgan. Between dealing with a surprise pregnancy, missing siblings, a hawk familiar, a growing house, and hoards, this book never stops. The sexy times are hot. Ooh, and we can't forget midwife Stormy showing up right on time. I simply loved this book! Please do yourself a favor and read the previous books. You will be glad you did. So get this book. Now!

(3.5 stars) This is a fun short story that is easy to read and well written, with fun banter and humour. I enjoyed all the characters - Morgan, who seems a little crazy from his pregnancy; Wade, who is a take-charge alpha; Daniel, the former best friend and one-time rival; Stormy, the knowledgeable and confident midwife. I had some unanswered questions at the end and I would have liked a less abrupt ending, but all in all I enjoyed the mystery of the missing dragons and the morphing house.

Another group of dragons! I love this author’s stories. Her and her wife write some of my favorite comfort reads. And who can complain about dragons?! Not me. These solitary dragons are finding their way home. Wade and Morgan have been dancing around each other for centuries but no more! This is a sweet little novella and is worth a read. If you like dragons, you seriously need to check out the rest of the books that are semi-adjacent to this one.

What a sweet read. Morgan and Wade have been off and on for a long time. When. Organ realized he was pregnant, he sold his condo in Santa Fe and went to his brothers house in the mountains. Wade had a feeling that he needed to go and see Morgan. When he found him, he realized why he left. If you have read the other dragon books, you realize what is happening with rooms appearing and disappearing. Love this author and cannot wait for more.

Morgan and Wade are mates that have been coming together and then going their own ways for centuries, but something has changed Morgan is now pregnant. What follows is a quick easy to read book that lacks the steaminess of other reads as the deed happens off page and although there is intamate scenes and plenty of connection there is very little boinking in the book. Wade and Morgan have bigger fish to fry there is family that have disappeared, an apartment that seems to have never existed and a home that is growing and changing -where did that chair come from! This is enjoyable to read.

I know when I see a new Minerva Howe book, I'm going to love it. I have read most of the books she's written as Minerva Howe and greatly enjoyed each one. Wade and Morgan's story is no exception. I love that they seem to have a long (as only dragons can pull off) history. I also like seeing which familiar will show up. This book is a pretty quick read and an excellent choice when you're not feeling a longer book.

A sweet easy read, and as it a novella, The relationship between Wade and Morgan has to change quickly
While Wade was always ready to admit that Morgan was his mate, Morgan wasnt quite aa ready, hence his quick change of mind.
Daniel was a change of pace as an addition to the story, wasnt sure how I felt about him, though I was definately happy to have Stormy back. I want him to have his story

Amazing!!! I love when an author plays the long game. We are seeing the connections and I’m loving it. Wade played the long game too with rewards just as sweet. Morgan and Avery know. I hope we get Daniel’s story. And we can’t forget Marcus and Max. I do think I know how some of that will go though lol.

I enjoyed Wade and Morgan's story. Wade is a solitary dragon, who knows his mate is Morgan. Despite his urge to claim him, he lets Morgan believe he's on his own. A baby dragon, and a mystery to boot draw these two together on quite an adventure. I like how the mystery of the missing dragons continues. I cannot wait to see what is next in this world.

He is shocked when he gets pregnant as it was not the right time or they were not so close. He leaves to try and sort out what is going on. They will try to follow him, to try to find out what is going on. How will it all go? Are they true mates? Can they get the answers they need? See where it will all go

A great fated mates storyline. Loved the main characters and their unexpected mpreg happening! When Wade tracks down Morgan after he goes missing they have a lot issues to overcome as well as old enemies plus learning to live with each other! Plenty of action, some angst but most of all thoroughly enjoyable read!
