Only Fools Rush In

He brought us together. Can we take him apart?

Max Volpe is a two-faced scumbag. After stealing my father’s legacy, he’s made a new and dangerous alliance — and this one makes him damn near invincible.

Normally, I wouldn’t mind a deadly showdown between enemies, but it’s not just my life on the line anymore. Failure means my men get killed. If they don’t kill each other first...

This isn’t how it was supposed to go. We’re supposed to be a well-oiled machine, engineered to take Max down. Turns out multiplying my, er, options means five times the tension, competitiveness, and jealous sass.

But piece by piece, our strategy starts to fall into place — and as I embrace my ruthless urges, a new Leona emerges. One who’s earned her place among the Shadows and their delicious darkness.

Until I discover the secret they’ve all been keeping from me.

Only Fools Rush In is a multi-first person POV mafia romance, with open door spice, non-stop action, and a heroine who doesn’t have to choose.

Only Fools Rush In is the sequel to Blood in the Water, one of my top reads of 2024. I did in fact finish OFRI in 2024, but due to *life circumstances* I am super behind on posting all my ARC reviews. OFRI starts off with a bang - iykyk - and I enjoyed that the storyline began right where it’s previous book left off. RE May kept me hooked from beginning to end, artfully winding together plot line, romance, and character development. And of course we finally got that spice we were hungering for in BITW 🥵

I love all these characters so much. They are all so unique with their personalities and interests, but also their flaws. Not one of these characters is perfect, and that’s what makes them so endearing to us readers. I really appreciated watching these characters navigate their new relationships and dynamics. Leona is such a badass and I absolutely adore her. Ryu and Cas are at each other’s throats for the majority of this book, but that scene when they finally got along had me 🫠 💀 But the characters who showed the most growth were definitely Ciel and Obi. Ciel in my opinion was the star of this book - it was so beautiful to see his confidence shine. He absolutely stole my heart. At times I wanted to smack Obi across the head, but when he finally had the courage to express his feelings, it was truly poetic.

The story does end on a cliffhanger - why Rachel why???? Max’s epilogue had my mind completely blown and I need to know what happens next. Thank you so much to the author for the ARC 💕

🎶 “I am tired of this place, I hope people change. I need time to replace what I gave away. And my hopes, they are high, I must keep them small. Though I try to resist I still want it all” 🎶

Leona (h) is done playing nice. After Max Volpe steals her father’s legacy and forges an alliance that makes him nearly untouchable, she rallies her bodyguard and the four lethal Shadows to take him down. But with desire, jealousy, and clashing egos threatening to unravel her new alliance, every step toward revenge tests her loyalty and her control.

— ⋆。゚☁︎。⋆。 ゚☾ ゚。⋆• THOUGHTS⋆。゚☁︎。⋆。 ゚⋆—

[Ciel & Wynn]

I might not be as eloquent as Wynn could be, or as strong and steady as Cas seemed to be for her, but damn, I was so relieved she let me talk to her.

Ciel is her comfort person and someone she can speak freely to her. Wynn is someone who is real with her and tries to be as transparent as possible. HER PEOPLE. Wynn experiencing his bi awakening and noticing Ciel’s curls and the way he blushes … CUTE. MY LOVES💌💗😭🤍 .It pretty much all started with the sharing scene, and Wynn is already openly bisexual, so there was never any question about his attraction to Leona. That was obvious from the beginning. But when Ciel was pulled into that sharing scene, something shifted. He started to take a liking to Wynn, and they both began to notice things about each other. I think that is what makes it so special. They are both learning about each other, falling in love, and still trying to keep each other safe. It is tender and surprising all at once, and I loved it. LOVERBOYS FOR LEONA.

[Obi]

Obi is not turning you guys against me, right? He’s not making you lose faith in me?”

“No, Leona dear. Obi is just doing what he does best: being a Type A control freak.”

Obi is very guarded and keeps his cards close. He wants to be the one responsible for taking over New York, and while he trusts that Leona is very smart and capable, he also sees that she is naïve and not as ready for leadership as she believed. Her feelings for Max got in the way, and that proved she was not prepared to handle as much as she thought. Obi wants to take the reins of everything because he craves control. He needs control, and beneath that drive is a constant fear of losing it. BUT HE MAKES ME MAD. He uses her for his own gain and keeps his cards close. The problem with Obi is that he wants information out of her. He pushes her to be open and vulnerable, but he will not do the same in return. At the end of the day, she feels like she is getting nothing from him. He keeps pulling strings behind her back for the sake of the group, but he treats her like a pawn in his plans. That is a major issue, because she wants to build her own empire. The entire point is to make sure that women are seen, respected, and successful within these powerful families. Instead, Obi does the opposite. He keeps pulling strings as the leader of the group and refuses to give her the real chance to step up and take charge because she has “a lot to learn.”

[Ryuji]

“She is not a play toy,” he warned, glaring at me. I frowned. “She is not a quick fuck or someone you can throw away when you get bored.”

POSSESSIVE KING. BUT Ryuji is stubborn. He wants to test Cas and push him until he loses his composure, but underneath it all he is protective and possessive. Ryuji wants his own claim on Leona, and his possessive nature fuels that desire. He sees Cas as a threat because Cas has a longer shared history with her, especially with the bond that comes from knowing her since childhood. Ryuji does not know how to handle those feelings, so he tries to outcast Cas and make him feel like he does not belong. They clash constantly, which makes it difficult to build any sort of stable dynamic between them. It is always push and pull, but if they would just talk it out and admit that they both love Leona, they would realize they are ultimately there for the same reason. HE DOES NOT PLAY ABOUT HER! 💌💗🤍

[Caspian]

“You’re acting like I wouldn’t be coming,” Cas said with a scoff. “If she goes, I go, too.”

“I need you here,” I said, grabbing Cas’s hand, and interlocking our fingers. “We can’t wait to talk to Giulio, and the Italians will trust you.”

I feel like everyone was keeping secrets, especially Cas. He never told her that the only way she was going to get respect from the men was if they married each other. It turned chaotic when the truth only came out in front of the men. Cas framed it as giving her freedom and choice, but by not telling her beforehand, he essentially forced her into that position. Instead of empowering her, he made her look like a fool in front of everyone. In their world, women do not receive respect unless they gain power through a traditional path, like marriage, and Cas knew that. By hiding the truth, he left her vulnerable in a moment where she should have been strong.

— ⋆。゚☁︎。⋆。 ゚☾ ゚。⋆ OVERALL⋆。゚☁︎。⋆。 ゚☾ ゚。⋆—

Wynn and Ciel are my babies. Caspian smothers Leona with his overprotectiveness. Obi feels the need to meddle in every area and always have a say. Ryuji wants to teach her to stand up for herself and build her into someone stronger, and he just enjoys being with her. Love all the guys. BUT THE CLIFFHANGER AGAIN. Is Max…part of the group…. IS HE GOOD. And Leona is kidnapped. Wynn is injured and will lose hit shit when he wakes up. Ciel is going to panic. Obi will destroy everyone and Ryuji will be out to get rid of anyone who gets in his way.

This book was amazing!! And to say I am obsessed with these characters and this story is an understatement. We pick up right where we left off after the cliffhanger of book one and the action and suspense kept going! We see so much happen in this book, more relationship building, more character development, more plot development, everything keeps building and it exactly what you want in this series. My babies (that would be CIEL and Wynn in case you don’t know) are still perfect and I love them and Ryu is joining them in the spotlight of my heart in this book. But don’t be discouraged Obi is working on it and Cas is doing some stuff (🤭). Honestly I love them all and I love Leona most of all.

Definitely read book 1 and then immediately pick this book up!!! But…. Beware of that cliff 🫣

“I needed her, forever, always, with everything I had. She was ours, and we were hers, and there was no going back.”

After re-reading Blood in the Water, book one of the Shadows Syndicate trilogy, I couldn't wait to dive into the next installment with Only Fools Rush In. And, wow, this brought the story of Leona and her men to a whole new level! Leona started to come into her own power alongside her bodyguard and the Shadows, four of the world's deadliest assassins, as they worked to build a new empire. All with more action, more twists and turns, more emotions and way more SPICE!! The thoughts and motivations behind each character's actions became so much more clear and I was completely invested in every single page!

Each character showed tremendous growth. I loved Cas with his protectiveness and loyalty, Ciel with his quiet strength and newfound confidence, Wynn with his thoughtfulness and his support and understanding, Ryuji with his banter and his fire and passion, and Obi with his need for control. And, of course, Leona as she took on the role of the queen she was always meant to be!! I loved the way all six of them worked together, overcoming their issues and differences, establishing trust, opening themselves up and fighting together towards a common goal.

I loved the evolving relationships between them all and how they responded to and interacted with each other. I have so many favorite scenes I can't stop thinking about from the group scenes to the self-discovery to the roadblocks they surpassed to the buried truths that were revealed as they expressed their vulnerabilities. I might have even teared up a little reading chapter 54!

This book sends such a strong message too! In a world where women are seen as second best, we are all queens, deserving more as we need to claim our power and make our own choices and decisions. We need to trust in ourselves and never give up as we fight for what we truly believe in!

Make sure to preorder book three, Caught in the Crossfire, because you are not going to want to miss what happens next after that mind-blowing cliffhanger!! Trust me, I'm still wrapping my head around it!

Plot: 4.5/5 • Smut: 4/5 ————> This one picks up immediately where book one ends. There characters all develop a little more. We get some background on some of the Shadows. Find out why they are why they are. There’s a little bit of petty backstabbing (I would call it) in this one. Almost seemed a little high school. But I get it. They all had to keep the secret. This ends on a huge cliffy. One I absolutely was not predicting.
Smut is great. We do not get any MM, but we do get multiple group scenes, which are a joy.

4,5/5. HELLO MS. MAY – WHERE IS BOOK 3? I inhaled “Only Fools Rush In” in two days flat (1 day if I didn't have a full-time job)! The banter between characters was everything, and the tension? Give. Me. More. I found myself giggling and kicking my feet.

The sexual tension? Hot! I loved the inclusion of bisexual representation (🏳️‍🌈❤️). I did NOT see that ending coming, and now we have to wait until November for Book 3? This is driving me crazy! It’s like waiting for a yummy treat.

That’s the beauty of a story that resonates; it doesn't have to be the greatest literature to be enjoyable. In fact, who even cares when the experience is this much fun? The sheer joy I derived from those books was enough to cement its place in my heart.

I loved it so much that I bought the books (they are on KU, fyi). I need them in my life—permanently.

The way the first book ended, I was so ready to see the Shadows get out of their "predicament". This book was giving so much. I was so happy to come back to my boys and the wonderful badass that is Leona. Ever since Rachel jumped into my DMs asking if I would be interested in her debut mafia why choose, I've been feral about this series. I was so happy to learn more about our cast of characters and watch them grow, especially my baby Ciel. Plus learning more about Obi and why his character is the way that he is. I don't think there's a weak character in my opinion. I think we needed more Wynn time but I think we'll get that in book 3. I don't want to wait. I want to be Leona and have these men at my beck and call. How do I put myself in a book? Has that technology been invented yet?

After everything blew up in the previous book, now it’s time to regroup, get back on track and rebuild. The tensions are high, Leona is still very convinced of her cause but unsure if she can make it, and her men - well, you know men. And not to spoil or anything, but they are *really man-ing* in this book. This story is so fast-paced I had no time to collect my thoughts (joke’s on you I don’t really think anyway). I am flying through this series and there’s no room for distraction or getting bored. You need to know more, you want to know what’s going to happen, you want to know how they’ll get out of the shit they got themselves into - no time for thinking breaks. I did, however, take some eye rolling and yelling at fictional characters breaks. Also some ‘RACHEL WHAT DO YOU MEAN’ DM breaks - those are important.

I’m sitting here, trying to put my comments into the void into a coherent review, but i think i may have to be at peace with how it will not happen. So here’s a list of things i like/love/appreciate about the men:
The multiculturalism and how they all give her nicknames and love declarations in their own language. Ryuji (that’s it that’s the post). Ciel’s sincerity, how he’s such a genuine good and sweet man, and how I love shy hackers. Cas and how he gets me hot and cold but he’s trying so hard. Obi and how he’s so used to being a fortress all by himself but will try to open up for the wellbeing of the polycule. Wynn and his way of seeing the world, his mission, his goodness and his beautiful heart. The fact that this book has the smuttiest smut and they’re not afraid to share (even though they get possessive) - group scenes, heck yeah. The (deserved) grovelling they do and better keep on doing for the rest of the series - I will not budge on this. Do I also have dumb men disease? Probably.

Women finding their strength is one of my favourite things in stories, and I love how Leona is finding hers even though the road is not smooth, but she has a girl squad to fall back on. How many people can say their friends will take a helicopter to come cheer them up when they’re struggling? I want to be a part of them, and I want more - cannot wait for book three. Especially since I need to calm down after that ending - again.

Check TWs before reading

OFRI picks up mere moments after BitW finished, so it's imperative to read that one first, and hoo boy, Leona, Cas and The Shadows are thrown into the thick of it from page one.

This book had me gripped from the start, needing to know how Leona, Cas, Wynn, Ryuji, Ciel and Obi would move forward given the events at the nightclub, and in the hunt for Max. So many twists and turns were thrown into this action-packed book, and I was on the edge of my seat as I read each chapter.

Not only is this filled with action and suspense that comes with any great mafia book, but the romance and relationship building side of the story was just *chefs kiss* - and let's not forget about the off the charts spice that was just so delicious and perfect and *melts into a puddle*. We get to see more into the inner workings of each characters minds, discover more about their pasts and what drives them, and see some phenomenal growth - especially Leona. Ryuji, despite his possessive tendencies (though lets face it, it's hot), is still my favourite, with Ciel a very close second. I especially loved the inner turmoil of Wynn in this book (you'll understand when you read), and I'm so glad Obi cracked - and so did Cas, in a way.

This book is honestly the perfect balance of action and violence, strategy and spice, banter and character growth and relationship building. Questions are answered from book one, and so many more arise from this book, as May continues to weave the intricate web that is Leona's story.

May leaves us on yet another amazing (yet honestly frustrating - but in a good way) cliffhanger, wanting me to reach out and beg her for book three ASAP.

Thank you to the author for the eARC opportunity. These are my honest thoughts that I have provided voluntarily.

Picking off where Blood in the Water left off, Max has once again escaped from the clutches of Leona and the rest of the Shadows, who regroup to try, once and for all to get rid of him. And well...this book is really long and there are two more to go, so I think you can guess how that goes.

I love these characters and this universe that R.E. has created through these two books. You can really see Leona continue to grow into her shell and desire to be the queen and take over for her father, while continuing to develop her individual (and group ;)) relationships with all the guys, and her girl gang. Finally seeing Cas and Leona connect after all these years together, and for her to grow alongside each of the other guys...absolutely adored. Each of the guys also went on their own individual journeys, getting closer to each other, both emotionally and physically hehe. While some of the guys have more stagnant plotlines, others went through some HUGEEEEE breakthroughs, in more than ways than one, and I'm so excited to see how they continue to develop in later books.

I absolutely loved the little touches that were included beyond the main plot, like with the GNO that Leona and the other girls have, showing that it really does take a village and people working together, but more importantly, showing Leona that women can lead and THRIVE!

And we just talk about that cliffy that R.E. left us at the end of this book???? MY GOSH WHAT. everything we knew...well...I don't know anything anymore. I am SOOOOO excited for everyone to finally have their hands on this book! I had the absolute pleasure of beta reading this book for R.E. back in the summer and love the changes that she implemented before the final version. Thanks to R.E. for the beta and eARC. Love ya girl!

🗡️Only Fools Rush In by R. E. May💍

“It was the first time I’d said it aloud, and based on his reaction, I would never stop saying it”

“You stab me, I stab you” - THIS SCENE 🤤👏

Um wait a damn minute! Two cliffhangers and I can’t immediately jump into book three?! I’m not going to survive! Rachel why?!

This was so good, we jump in right where book 1 left off! The relationships that are built throughout this book is so amazing to see and yes there are obvi rough patches but it’s how you work through them that matters. This group of 6 are literally perfect for each-other and I love it😍!! Damn I’m really doing well at talking about the book but not saying much aren’t I 🤭.

Leona has grown so much from mafia princess to badass queen and I love it! Obi was a bit unexpected with his growth in this book, ngl I was getting pretty pissed off at him but then his turn around 🤤. Cas and Ryu were at each others throats the whole time (expected) and honestly I loved it so much but you know what I loved MORE! The scene when Leona puts her foot down, IYKYK😍. Wynn, I have to say, I feel we didn’t get to see him as much this book and that makes me a lil sad and omg the ending bit😭. Ceil, honestly Ceil I think is my favourite currently, we have seen so much personal growth from our shy computer hacker. He stole my lil heart!

Also! Hella suggest reading the epilogue from Max’s POV! I need to know more about this, I am so invested now.

Princess becoming the Queen

First off I absolutely love the men in this book.

This book starts right with the aftermath of the bombing from book one. Our syndicate is having to reassess where they are and what they need to do next to take down Max and regain control.

Big theme for this book is that secrets destroy relationships and communication is required. We delve deeper into who some of the men are and what has been driving them.

Leona makes a decision on how to fight back. The men have to have a big come to Jesus moment to get on the same page.

Many injuries and surprises happen throughout the book. Also, there are some really hot scenes in this one. I truly hope we get more of the spicy stuff because these guys are so hot. Also, those scenes with more than one of the men (one handed reading right there).

Max of course is still being a douch canoe. E always seems to be a step or two ahead.

I absolutely loved seeing sweet Ciel find a backbone because that was so hot. I love the shy hacker but he is blossoming and I am here for it.

Just when you think you are getting some things figured out that ending comes up and slaps you right off a cliff. I mean seriously what in the heck was that?

I absolutely can not wait to see what happens next. I also can't wait for those two men to give in and I hope Leona is part of it because I can see that being so so hot. Ooo and I want more group scenes. I wanna be Leona cause she has the most amazing men.

This is the second book of The Shadows Syndicate, a why choose mafia romance.

Tropes and themes include:
✨ Why choose (MFMMMM)
✨ Forced proximity
✨ Bi-awakening
✨ Betrayals
✨ Girl squad
✨ Found family
✨ Disability rep (speech impairment)
✨ Banter
✨ Hurt/comfort
✨ Feminine rage

Rating: 4/5 Stars 3/5 Flames
Nickname: Princess, Darling, Little Vixen, Baby Girl

The Lovely: I loved the character growth we saw in this second book, especially for Ciel. I think he’s my favorite of the MMCs (followed closely by Wynn) for how genuine, caring and smart he is. I would love to see more of his relationship with Leona, and with the other MMCs.

The Mundane: This second book didn’t have quite the same pacing and action based tension as book one, and I therefore struggled to stay as engaged. I think it would have helped to have seen more interactions between the main characters in particular, especially as they were working through their relationships.

Recommendation: This was my last mood read for Mood Read May and fittingly, it ended on a massive cliffhanger. I wasn’t terribly surprised what happened to the FMC but I was surprised by who she ended up seeing on the final page. The next book (3 of 4) is expected to be released in November of this year and I absolutely cannot wait to find out what happens.

Looking for a brilliantly balanced mix of action, romance, and mafia tension? This series has it all—and more. You won’t be disappointed.
'Only Fools Rush In' picks up where the first book left off, delving into the consequences of our characters’ actions. Those choices propel the story forward, and you can feel the weight of every decision.

What I loved most was the deepened character development. We get more insight into each of the MMCs, which not only gives us (and Leona) a clearer understanding of why they are the way they are but also makes their motivations all the more compelling.

But here’s the catch: not everyone walks away unscathed. Hearts are broken, bodies are bruised, and plans go terribly awry. Relationships are tested to their limits, and with that heart-stopping cliffhanger, we’re left wondering—will everyone make it out alive?

TROPES & VIBES:
- Dark mafia romance
- Why choose (reverse harem)
- Bi-awakenings
- Ultimatums
- Besties to the rescue
- Secrets & revelations
- Possessive alphaholes
- Assassins playground

Star rating: 5/5
Spice rating 4/5

Action from the very first page. Only Fools Rush In, the second book of The Shadows Syndicate Series, had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. This mafia why-choose romance is action packed, led by a feisty FMC that I couldn’t stop rooting for. The multiple POV’s between Leona and her Five Men were expertly intertwined and provided deeper layers to the story and the world building. The dialogue was effortless and easily captured the reader’s attention, while the descriptions and action scenes painted vivid pictures making it easy for the reader to escape into the world R.E. May has created.
The increasing pressure the author has put on her character’s kept me invested through each chapter and holding my breath until the very end.
And let’s talk about the spicy scenes. *fans face* hot, hot, and super hot. We have men that talk dirty, men that need to be in control, men that like to give it up and a female lead that has them all wrapped about her little finger. Honestly just read it.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a grittier romance and loves the action akin to shows like Gotham and 24.

After Blood in the Water, I couldn't wait to get my hands on OFRI! The second book in The Shadows Syndicate really dives into Leona and her guys' whole dynamic. Each relationship continues to develop, and we also get insight into each of the guys' individual journeys.
There was such a good balance between the plot and the romance, and the spicy scenes were so hot and fit so well into the story.
Ryu + Cas are still my fave guys and I was really invested in their stories and how their relationships were building with Leona, as well as the tension between the two of them.

Max is still a POS, and we learn more about his master plan and alliances.

There's lots of action and tons going on. And then there's the ending...The cliffhanger we were left on and that epilogue! That was very unkind Ms. May!!! How dare you! I think it's safe to say I am now eagerly awaiting book 3 😂

If you love Mafia + reverse harem/why choose you NEED to read this series!

First of all: what have I read?

From the first chapter we start with the action, our queen needs to position herself and for that she must rely on her team.

💍 Only fools rush in is the second book of “the shadows syndicates” and yes, you must read the first one to know how it all started as from here on the characters develop more individually.

💍 We have a combination of feelings as they are all bonding with their companions as they learn to carry their relationship with Leona.

💍Leona is a strong and determined woman who has one goal and that is to get back what was taken from her, even with all the enemies.

without a doubt it has been a 5/5 for me, the plot twist, the action, bonding and everything the shadows do left me like this 👀🔥🫶🏻

What can you find ?

Mafia world where she is the one in charge.

Why choose MMFM

Loyalties

Betrayals

Lots of action and strategies

Possessive men who want to watch the world burn just for her smile.

Each of these characters had such amazing growth and development. I can’t just choose one, I love them all.
This story had more action, more emotion, more twists, more turns and if you enjoy spice... it had more spice!
I loved how each relationship evolved with every page.
I absolutely cannot wait for third book in the series. Because the end of this one has me truly wanting more!
Thank you, R. E. May for writing another fantastic story, allowing me to love every single one of these characters and thank for the opportunity for giving my honest opinion in exchange for an advanced readers copy! Bravo!

Holy Cliffhanger!

This series has me hooked. I still have so many questions, thoughts, and opinions, but I am so invested in these characters that I will patiently wait until November to hopefully get some answers.

The spice was spicing in this book. I am so excited for the bi-awakening and potential mash ups in the future.

The growth of Leona from book 1 to book 2 has been fun to read, and I love how the girl is getting into her element. The girl group was one of my favorite parts, and I am hoping for more of that(even in a text thread) in the next book.
That last chapter has me confused and thinking of my own scenarios.

I know this is a why choose, but I do have a favorite guy. Ciel, my sweets, my honey, my baby boy genius. I can't wait for more in the next book.

I love a good bi awakening and seeing everyone grow as a person and find themselves. We still haven’t gotten a kiss between Wynn and Ciel but there is definitely romantic feelings on both sides and everyone notices. I initially thought the shadows had more of a brother bond simply because they had all been the shadows for years and if anything were to happen between then it would’ve by now. But Ciel did change a lot in this book and from his part he’s always found themselves attractive and Wynn is just realizing, like wait do I want him to look at me that way?, do I look at him that way? The ending made my jaw drop because wait is actually not a bad guy, if not who is. I also feel like Cass and Ryu would be a good enemies to lovers. They resolved their issues but beforehand I imagine some good hate sex to like prove who was better in bed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

This is the sequel to Blood in the Water and it was soooo good! The first book did a good job setting everything up but this one really developed the relationships between everyone! By the end I felt like everyone truly was on the path to loving each other rather than just all the guys trying to be with Leona. The story flowed so well and made sense with the trajectory. I loved getting into all the heads of the different characters and truly getting to know them all. The spice was spicing in this book that’s for sure! And I mean chapter 50… 🥵 the ending was so surprising to me too which I really loved that I couldn’t predict how this would end up! Now I just need the next book ASAP!

Rachel did it again! First off I want to say thank you for allowing me to be a arc reader I'm so happy and blessed to be. This is a true and honest review. I loved it!! The first book definitely did a good job setting us up for book number 2. Book number 2 made me fall even more in love with the characters. I see some of myself in Leona. I love her growth over both books. The men are amazing my favorite is still ryuji. I love the fact they all come together to keep leona safe and extract her vengeance. Now the cliff hanger you left me on Rachel is very much unappreciated 🥲 but I cannot wait for book 3 💓

After reading the first one, I knew I had to get the second book as soon as possible!
Leona has evolved and you can see the character development with her. She no longer wants revenge against Max, instead she wants to take over New York with her men beside her. The guys slowly come into their own, but not without making a few mistakes here and there. Obi frustrated me so much until he got a taste of his own medicine 😂
The girls night had me tearing up because it was amazing to see all the women coming together and hyping each other up 🥺
I will definitely be diving into the next one right after this!

I can't believe that ending. I have so many questions now.

I love that Leona is learning to come into her power and learning how to be in a relationship with five guys who all have various personalities.

Seeing Ciel become more confident was such a great thing and watching Wynn question his feelings for him is sure to be interesting.

Ryu and Obi are so emotion scared I'm sure they will continue to mess up and have to beg.

I look forward to where this goes and to seeing more of Fallon, Zoya, and Willow as they are Leona's girl group

Why why why why why why why, like why! I just need to know how this ends. Honestly what’s Max’s deal too. The amount of action in this book is WILD! Seriously, I absolutely ADORE this book so much. Leona and the shadows. Wow 🤯. Everything was going perfectly. Now what’s Obi going to do. So many questions(in the good way of course). If you enjoy long actions rides through a book and the fixation and need to keep reading…this book is for you. I couldn’t stop, it’s soooo good.

If you need me this book will live rent free in my head until we get the 3rd one…..sigh. 💕💕

I'm biased because I wrote this book, but I am SO proud of this next installment in Leona's story! These characters are on an emotional journey to figure out how they can bring their future to life. They're flawed, they're hopeful, they're sassy, they're sexy, and they're ready to make their parnership real. This book is darker, it's spicier, with even more drama. I love it so much, and I hope you do, too!

This book had me hooked from start to finish! The last book ended on a wild cliffhanger, and the start of Only Fools Rush In did not disappoint! I loved seeing Leona come into her power in this book, and to see her build relationships with all the men. (The nightmare scenes with Obi? Obsessed). This book ended on another amazing cliffhanger (iykyk) and I can't wait for the next one!! If you love action-packed books with characters you can't help but fall in love with, you need to read this!!

So good. I love that the FMC is growing into such a strong woman and is challenging the traditions of a woman not being able to be in charge. I love Fallon and hope we get her story at some point. I cannot stand Max but what is happening? That cliffhanger really threw me. Like Max is a bad guy, right? Is he trying to protect her and Cas or is he just the villain?? I cannot wait until book 3 to come out so we can finally see what is actually going on.
