I guess you could call my latest job interview a success. I got hired, and it's way beyond my wildest dreams.
The pay isn't great. And the hours are pretty much 24/7.
But there's magic. And a portal to a fantasy world.
Those kind of outweigh the negatives.
At first, I thought I was just testing the latest VR survival RPG, but I'm starting to think this might not be a game after all. The monsters are definitely life-like and capable of carving me apart on their worst days. But on their best days, I make them mine.
Yeah, I have the Tamer Class.
There's strength in numbers in survival scenarios like this, a fact that becomes only too clear when I'm joined by a redhead who's apparently a Warlock.
I figure it won't be long until our party's number increases in this strange new world.
Mark, Lucy, an Beth finds themselves in a new alien world starting a new life together .
Their are numerous people standing in a metal room being talked about a great job that awaits them in the next hour or so . Suddenly the lights go out an a black vortex sets in a blink of a eye then unconscious begins each individual wakes up alone in a new world in a lush forest for Mark that is . As Mark looks around he finds tools around him with a mere thought his tools disappear an a interface pops open like in a video game with instructions with magic . recommend reading excellent book .
Dante King is either a prolific writer, or has purchased a good ghost writing team. Either way, his stories always seem to disappoint.
Picked this one up. It seemed interesting enough. Made it 1/3rd of the way in and now, Did Not Finish. Why? Because it’s not very interesting.
Bog standard Isekai. Uses the stupid ‘it’s just like Minecraft/palworld/craftopia/7days to die’ resource farming and item building. It comes off as lazy.
The main character is milquetoast at best, the 1st love interest is… eh, it’s just not very interesting. Which makes it not very good.
Really enjoyed this book. Characters are likable and it's fun discovering a new and unknown world along with them. The creatures are cool and fun to learn about too. My only issue is a minor one and didn't distract any from the book but was still annoying somewhat and that was some missed editing issues. Like having MC refer to one of the women as"himself".... Enjoyed the book a lot and can't wait for the next one! So hurry up and write it lol!
Marks job interview turns into an isekai trip to another world, along with all the other applicants. He has to learn how to survive not only monsters and the dangers of the world, but potentially the other applicants. Great new world! I look forward to the sequel!
This book was an amazingly crafted fantasy. I haven't read many LitRPGs but this one makes me want to read more if they're like this one. I really enjoyed the characters and can identify with Mark, the protagonist. I feel like I would be him if I were in his shoes.
Love the mix in this new setting. Refit used to ‘job hunt’ the people to take to a new world. A world with magic, monsters, survival game elements, ‘medieval’ castle ruins that contain electrical outlets. Nice blend of harem, survival, town building, and litrpg elements. Can’t wait for #2 to come out
This is a good read. The basic storyline is a group of people are dropped into what appears to be an immersive video game or possibly a real new world. Magic is real and can be learned. Also, there be monsters there. The story thus far follows one MC and the woman from the group he finds himself with. Their challenges are the main plot for book 1. Well written.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was fun and entertaining. The story and characters were incredibly interesting and engaging. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. This book is definitely worth checking out.
This book is very interesting. The way he starts the story is pretty good. Easy to follow and definitely keeps you wanting more. Now for the next one I guess I have to wait.
Really looking forward to reading the next book! I really like this series! I hope audible comes it for the second book soon. Seemed like there was some added scenes compared to the book in the audible
Great way to start a new series. Once you start getting into it you can't put it down till it's done. Which of course leaves u wanting book 2 asap! Lol
