I followed my heart to Silver Ridge and it betrayed me. Now I’m stuck in a small mountain town with wagging fingers labeling me a homewrecker.
I endure because I don’t have enough money to get me off this mountain until I land a sweet gig. I’m counting down the hours until I watch Everett with his twins.
The man is sexy as sin, a grouch, and his amazing smiles are shared with everyone but me. And I think he's one more person who loathes me until he kisses me silly smack-dab in the diner.
Everett
I hate bullies. People sitting on their high horses when we’ve all made a bad decision or two. Look at me, I picked the wrong woman and after kissing Kenzie looks like life’s repeating itself.
I had a choice shut up the hecklers or make my move. I just didn’t expect her lips to taste like heaven and her curves to feel like perfection.
But I’m too smart to fall twice until I see Kenzie playing with frogs, in the mud with my girls. The dark clouds hovering over my heart part and a single word hangs between mine.
Silver Ridge Mountain Men is a series of six standalone romances written by besties Olivia Reign, Blaire Wilde, Emma Blake, Lisa Ryan, Raven Blaire, and Josie Hart. Get ready, cuffing season starts…now.
Based on the title of this book, I was expecting a true entanglement and I was not disappointed. The main characters in this novel are as entangled as any two people can be: socially, physically, and eventually romantically from the moment they set eyes on one another during their first encounter. The plot of the novel was steady and moves at a pace to keep the reader intrigued about what will happen to the characters next questioning how they will work through the situations they continue to find themselves in. A perfect balance of small town romance with a hint of light spice, this novel gives all of the warm, fuzzy, and tingly feels in an easy and entertaining read.

Promising start but after the first five chapters the book just became very repetitive and drawn out. Kenzie was very good with the girls, I liked how she bonded with them and a few nice people in town. My issue was with Everett. He was such a coldhearted man for someone that had kids and I know it’s a romance book, but he seemed to care more about Kenzie than he did his kids at time.
I was annoyed reading some bits with Kenzie because she was just so dumb, like how are you telling someone that lied to you at the start that you were pregnant before telling Everette? What do you think was honestly going to happen? The more I read the book the more aggravated I became, sooo for my peace of mind I skipped to the end and chileeee it was the best thing I could possibly do.
The story was just too rushed and in between you could kinda differentiate that time had lapsed but in basically 6 months soo much happened. Through it all I don’t feel like there was much of a bond between Kenzie and Everett because they kept hiding parts of themselves and behind fear, only bonded when it was whomping time. I could keep going but if you like small town romance it’s an easy-ish read.
This book offers a heartwarming and engaging read, reminiscent of those classic movies that often capture the charm of small-town life. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Silver Springs, Montana, the story beautifully encapsulates the essence of a close-knit community where "everyone knows your name."
At the center of this narrative is Mackenzie, a woman who has left behind the fast-paced life of the big city in hopes of starting anew with her boyfriend in this idyllic small town. However, what she envisions as a fresh beginning quickly spirals into a nightmare when she discovers that her so-called Prince Charming is nothing more than a deceitful liar—he’s already married.
Mackenzie's first day in Silver Springs is not just embarrassing; it proves to be utterly heartbreaking. In a cruel twist of fate, she finds herself exposed as a homewrecker, thrust into a situation she was completely unaware of. Overwhelmed by judgment and shame, Mackenzie decides to reclaim her dignity and attempts to start her life over in a town that feels unforgiving.
Yet, amidst the turmoil, she has a chance encounter with Everette, a single father with a warm heart and his own set of challenges, including his charming daughters who take an immediate liking to Mackenzie. She also befriends Steph, the town's most hospitable resident, and her daughter Mel. Their kindness provides Mackenzie with a sense of belonging and support as she navigates the complexities of her new life.
As she tries to move forward, Mackenzie is relentlessly haunted by her ex, Ian, and his immature wife, Paige. Their behavior is reminiscent of schoolyard bullies, creating further obstacles in her quest for stability and happiness. However, Everette gradually becomes more protective of Mackenzie as he realizes that his initial judgment of her was unfair.
The connection between Everette and Mackenzie deepens as they begin to understand each other better. Their friendship blossoms into something more intimate, filled with genuine emotion and understanding.
Overall, the story is wonderfully written, with a smooth narrative flow that allows readers to become fully immersed in the lives of the characters. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, making the reader root for their happiness. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a delightful and heartfelt story.
Kenzie takes the bus, and ends up in Silver Ridge, Montana. There she meets twin girls first thing who are arguing. (Harper and Hazel). Being a twin herself, she is able to get them to stop and see a few intriguing things about being twins. lol. I thought they were adorable and double trouble. Seriously. Kenzie is really a nickname, for Mackenzie Duncan. She meets the twins’ dad, Everett Logan. The only person she knows in town is Ian, who is a piece of work, you’ll see why. I was livid. Small towns know everyone’s business and Silver Ridge is no different. Axton is Everett’s bestie and he has a magical way with the twins. lol. Kenzie ends up being taken in by Steph and befriends her and her daughter, Mel. I really love them. They are really good people. OMG Bear. He is hilarious. Kenzie met Ian through her twin, Kendrick in jail. Harper and Hazel pop up everywhere for little gals. Since Kenzie is so good with the twins, and they scare all the nannies away- in such hilarious ways- omg, I laughed so hard, it’s usually boys that do such things. lol. So, Everett likes Kenzie, as does the twins, so he offers her the nanny position. However, there is a covert op in the works and Everett is the leader. I was impressed with all he does and that he is a single parent and I can see why the twins are such imps. I enjoyed the interaction of the team and the op. I love Kenzie and how she handles the girls. You’d think that once people grow up they would grow out the ‘mean girl’ stage, but they don’t really. So Kenzie has to deal with that too. I was livid and was growling a lot and muttering under my breath. Having been bullied a lot growing up and even now, I dislike even reading about that. But, since it is a part of life, I get it. I loved the book and can’t wait to see what happens next.

The pacing was awful. Periodically there would be mention of how long she had been in town but even within the chapter, paragraph to paragraph it could be a different day or week. It was hard to follow. There were a number of grammatical errors, missing words, repetitive words, exact phrases duplicated back to back. A couple of times it felt like the author wrote a paragraph and then rewrote it but didn’t delete the previous version.
It was cute, and Kenzie and the twins felt connected. I would have liked more development on her and Everett’s relationship. I wouldn’t completely say it came out of no where but there was no real build.
Outside of Kenzie and the twins, the story felt like a collection of unconnected bits:
-Her “built on a lie” friendship/relationship with Ian was weird. He was also Weird. Manufactured drama. -His psycho wife Paige who this town was “afraid” of, her mean girl posse and the fact the town let her terrorize Kenzie for months. -Everett being the team leader of this after market ops team which we only saw in action once. His need to serve. -Multiple mentions of her twin brother being in prison, but she doesn’t call him once. No idea what he’s in for or when he’s expected to get out.
This was the idea of a really good book but just missed it. It was just barely enjoyable enough not DNF but not great sadly. I probably won’t read again, and most likely won’t continue the series.

The magic of Silver Ridge slowly unfolded for Kenzie Duncan when she arrived in town. She met the Logan twins, Harper and Hazel right off who both made her feel welcome, as only six year olds will. Then the wife of the man, she came to town to see showed up causing a scene not to be forgotten soon. As a result Kenzie ended up I the local abuse shelter for families and on the local gossip chain. Everywhere she went, people whispered behind her back about the type of woman she was, and she continued to run into the twins and their father Everett. There was an undeniable attraction between Everett and Kenzie as much as they both tried to fight it, but he needed help with the girls, and she seemed to have that magical touch that would make them behave. He was running out of choices for a nanny, and he was getting tried of the town's treatment of Kenzie. What action was he going to end up taking? I truly enjoyed this book.

Kenzie thought that she had a connection with someone she had been corresponding with through her brother. Turns out he was full of lies. Having put her faith in them and moved across the country she finds herself homeless, jobless and the town pariah. Her indomitable spirit sees her standing tall and forging a new life.
Everett is struggling to manage with his full of life twin girls who have managed to chase off every nanny he has employed so far. At his wits end and following his heart and not his head he offers the job to the stunning town newcomer.
Can these two likeable individuals, despite the trauma they carry from their pasts, learn to trust and make new lives for themselves?
A new to me author who has fantastic world building skills and a knack for creating likeable real characters. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Kenzie just arrived in Silver Ridge and landed right in the middle of a mess. She had been corresponding and speaking with a man who invited her to meet him. Little did she know that her fresh start has a wife. When his wife arrived and humiliated her in front of what felt like the entire town she doesn’t know what to do or where to turn. What she doesn’t expect is a run in with two adorable twin girls and that their meeting would put her in the path of their single father (Everett). Kenzie is determined to make the best of a bad situation and tries to make a home in Silver Springs. She only has to stand up to the town gossip and the mean girls led by a scorned wife.
This book was a cute read, it was so much more than I expected. There were several unexpected twists and turns and two adorable twin girls that really bring out the best in everyone. If you are looking for a small town romance with a little intrigue and steam you can’t go wrong with this book.

Of the 86 books I have read so far this year this one would be dead last if I ranked them. This was basically the equivalent of a Tubi movie in print. The author loses track of her own story. On page 255 Kenzi needs to get the girls to school on page 256 all of a sudden it’s Saturday and she needs to occupy their time. The storyline is jumbled and the typos are plenty. Either there was no editor or the editor is incapable of reading. I had to finish it for the comedy of all that makes no sense. I won’t be diving into any of her other works. It’s almost as if the author forgot what she wrote the page, the paragraph or the sentence prior while writing this book. I don’t know if this book was written on a dare or under duress but it was not good in my opinion. This was a waste of time that I couldn’t put down because we all look at car wrecks as we pass them. One star is for the author trying and effort should count for something!
It was not what Kenzie expected for her "do-over" life. The traps of small-town gossip was almost more than she could take, especially with bullying means girls who won't listen to reason. But she made the best of it when she made a connection with the cutest twin girls Harper and Hazel. The icing on the cake was their sexy single dad Everette. Their relationship was a slow burn from the first time they saw each other. They turned out to be perfect for each other as Kenzie wanted a second chance at life and Everette desperately needed to have a reason other than his girls to keep him tethered to home. They all got what they needed and wanted, the love of a family, their family.
I was really enjoying this book until 3/4 the way through, then the timeline became confusing. One minute, Kenzi is putting the twins to bed, Everett comes home mad about what he heard and she leaves, next chapter she's driving to her friends and it's daylight and then next chapter Everett hadn't heard the rumor. First I thought it was a flashback to show how he found out, but the kids were in school. Totally took me out of the story, and I was really enjoying it. I still finished it. I've read other books from this author I've enjoyed. Hopeful for her next books.
This started off good for me but as I kept reading it was like there were parts/sentences that were repeated or saying the same thing but worded differently. Also I feel like the build up to the incident with Kenzie fell short because nothing that happened was explained. Like why were there shots, what happened to Ian and Paige?, and did they go to jail for what they did? Also, the events didn’t match up or make sense. No follow up to Everett getting mad about Ian and nothing else was said about Kenzie brother. I feel like the end was rushed. Overall it was an ok book but would’ve been better if things weren’t left hanging.
Their meeting was an awkward one when Kenzie is accused of being a home wrecker. She never expected that her coming to town to start over would end in such a disaster. Everett is there to witness the whole sordid situation along with his twins who has taken an interest in Kenzie. Will it lead her to a happiness she has never had. This story had me all caught up in Kenzie as she charters her new life and a budding relationship with Everett and the twins.

This book had a lot of excitement and surprises for me. The author wrote with such depth that it was easy for me to picture the setting and characters. I felt so bad for the female lead, she was given so many bad breaks, but she had inner strength. Kenzie was such a genuine, good, strong woman. I don’t want to give away spoilers, but I do want to let anyone reading this review to know that I felt this was an excellent book. It took me on fictional escapes for 2 evenings.

This book needed editing. I didn’t even finish it. Main character Kenzie acted like a child, I didn’t catch her age but she had to be 18-19. Paige was insufferable and apparently a stalker, because she was always where Ian was without him somehow noticing. Also, I like BWWM books for a reason, specifically because I like to see women like me. If you’re developing a character with barely any description or clue that she’s black I lose interest really quickly, and that’s what happened with this book.
The story begins with us meeting Kenzie. She's looking for a fresh start and new beginnings. Kenzie has by phone and text to Ian. He entices her to Silver Ridge with lies of helping her get settled. He neglected to tell her that he's married!! Kenzie had to find her way with the help of a very kind family. Also this is where she meets Everett and his twin daughters. There's drama, lies, and pettiness from Ian and his mean-spirited wife, Paige. Everett and Kenzie's chemistry is undeniable! The twins are a special touch.😂❤️
At first, I expected this tale to be the typical handsome mountain man, helpless female scenario that I've enjoyed over the years. Some were pretty routine and you can almost recite how the relationship will step through to your desired happy ending. Every so often you run across an exception. This was one, for me, at least. Well written, intriguing, mystifying, and imaginative. This story kept me coming back again and again. I will be reading more from this author and series. Enjoy!
Loved it, I know I will be reading this again & again. Town gossip can be in the big city as well as small town. This made me think of a place in Michigan, it was a little bit bigger than Silver Ridge. But still like Silver Ridge, everybody knew everybody’s business, someone got arrested, or someone acted loose, even if someone was caught stealing, everybody knew. Boy did I hate that, wanted something better like Kenzie. Happy to see Kenzie finally happy with Everett, love the chemistry as well. That is one take charge man.
I really enjoyed Everette and Kenzie’s love story. Though I must admit he did get on my nerves 😬 a little bit. The man act like he didn’t know how to ask questions just jump to conclusions. I must admit those two had the most hot, explosive and passionate relationship.🔥🔥🔥 Ian was a greedy coward married to the biggest bully (Paige) in town. I loved the rest of the characters especially Harper and Hazel. They were the sweetest cuties in the story. Mel and Axton grab my attention so I can’t wait to read their story.
WOW what a beautifully written and a wonderful romance book Blaire has written right here. I do suggest that if you start reading this book at night you be 110% prepared to stay up really late finishing it. This is a firecracker of a book with some anticipation on what was going to happen between Kenzie and Everett's romance and if things are going to ignite into something really beautiful or explode. This is a must-read book.
Everett is a single dad of Wild twins full of life and love. McKenzie is new in town and her start is as rocky as it can get. Despite everything they connect and while there’s a lot of push and pull before they get their HEA it’s a sweet story full of heart, fan yourself moments, and the power of love and family. I enjoyed Everett and Kenzie's story. It would have been good to have a little more back story for both main characters, especially Kenzie's, but overall it was a good read. There was a nice natural flow to them falling for each other that I loved. I admired her strength and resilience; she seemed beautiful inside and out. He was gruff yet loving; he was also fiercely protective of his daughters and Kenzie.
This is a well written story with great characters. For me this was an easy read. I would encourage everyone to get this one it is worth your time. The twins help make the story. If you like mountain men stories this is one for you. Go get this one and enjoy.

Love gets a second chance with these people. Liked the pure simple friendship between Kenzie and the twin girls, as it opened the eyes of Everett. Enjoyed how Kenzie showed her true character in being tough enough to take her situation and make the best of it.

I really enjoyed reading of all of Kenzie’s trials in creating a new life for herself with the help of Everett and his twins. The only thing that bothered me with the book was that some of the paragraphs seemed to duplicate each other either just a small variance in the. But the story did have me in tears at times and smiling at others.
This is a mountain man romance book that is entertaining. The storyline has interesting and intriguing elements that unfold with this couple exploring their relationship. These characters have steamy chemistry. I enjoyed this book.

The story is cute…. but it needs more. The story felt like there was more to be said during the in esteem moments that took the couple from stranger/enemies to lovers. I also believe there were some slips that should have been caught in the editing process. Some sections were repeated back to back.
Everything about this book is ‘blah’ as in no interest, spice, or appeal. It’s not horrible but the plot, the characters, and definitely the romance are uninteresting. It doesn’t hold interest, unfortunately I didn’t invest in any of them. Just be a you say he can’t stop thinking about her doesn’t mean you’ve managed to make me as a reader feel any connection.
This is a beautiful ❤filled with angst drama & 🔥🔥🔥.Everett is a 💯 brooding alpha, awesome, loving single dad with the cutest twin girls. He is perfectly matched with sweet Kenzie 😍 So glad they found their HEA after all the drama and they're building a family 🙌 . I only wish there was was an epilogue
