Starting almost immediately after the events of The Devil's Gunt, we find Median recuperating in a hospital where Dr. Rick is the chief medical officer. Of course, nothing is as it seems especially after he finds out the woman of his dreams is engaged to marry Dr. Rick. Meanwhile, Mary has finally gotten what she wanted most; the perfect relationship and a baby on the way. But after she begins to regret the cost, she decides to take action against the one who granted her blessing. The devil.
I would like to begin this review with a brief note. Even though this is a sequel, you can read it independently, but I strongly advise starting with Book 1: The Devil's Gunt.
Gerald Dean Rice. You have done it again. I am blown away.
Mary is living her best life. A baby on the way. The perfect man. Everything is going great, but at what cost?
Mary's estranged husband, Median, is in the hospital recovering from the events of the first book. This is the same hospital where Dr. Rick works as its chief medical officer.
Dr. Rick is going to marry the woman Median has been longing for.
Who is Dr. Rick? Well, he is quite the devil.
I seriously cannot say enough about this book and the author himself. The Devil's Gunt is without a doubt my favorite book of the year. This sequel is outstanding. The author masterfully writes the characters, dialogue, and story. Just fantastic. I really look forward to more. Read this series. You do not want to miss this.
What can I say? I wasn't a fan of the Devil's Gunt but that didn't stop me from reading the sequel, a lowercase hell. This story was funny. It'll have you cackling like a hen. Median, I can't get past the name, throws me off. I thought of math when I read his name, mean, median, and mode. This is a great read.
The story continues about that started in The Devil’s Gunt. It can be read as a standalone or a continuation. The two main characters that were introduced in The Devil’s Gunt are back in this book. I really enjoyed this book better.
Bizarre story
