More emotional than I expected. Alex and Emily were together for three years before tragedy hit and he ghosted her. Now, six years later, they are in the same city and she is investigating a break in at his bar. Can Alex explain what happened six years ago and will Emily forgive him?

Reader be aware... plot twists ahead!

This book catches you from the beginning with Alex, a previous rock star, getting notes from an unknown source at his bar. He opened the bar when he left LA, stopped performing, and ghosted Emily with no explanation. The story becomes more complex with Emily coming to the bar as a Detective for the Police department. Neither of them talks about the elephant in the room until Emily finally asks him Why Alex?
The danger unfolds with a shocking twist!
I really enjoyed this author's romantic suspense and angst and second chances tropes.
I was offered an ARC to read and review "Spaces Between Us" I was unable to leave a 4 star rating due to "star rating" tech issues.

OH Goodness it was quick read. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was highly intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down. It was addicted. Alex and Emily romance was sensational and passionate. The chemistry and the physical attraction between them was mind blowing of lust. They lost connection a lot time ago and after the years has passed by they ran into each other again could love between them be a second chance at romance relationship.
I highly recommend this book and you won't be disappointed. I received advance copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. Trina Jones

Past Horror's Return

Intense, emotional and thrilling, this story really captured my attention. Alex's past follows him to Portland in unexpected and surprising ways. When Emily returns to his life, it is at the exact time that trouble affects his business. Can they get along long enough to solve the mystery?

Wow, what a story, it definitely held my attention!!! This was a steamy intriguing story. The writing was captivating and the characters were believable and well-defined. The plot had many twists and turns dealing with suspense, excitement and some steamy romance. I have read all of Ms. Cole's books and am looking forward to more stories from her!

This is the story of rock star Alex and his love Emily. He pleges his love to Emily forever and then betrays Emily when he sleeps with someone who puts drugs in his drink. Alex leaves the music world in LA and opens a restaurant/bar in Portland, OR. for residents and the homeless. When his bar is broken into, he reports it to the police. Emily, now a detective also in Portland, is put on his case. They see each other after 6 years. I liked the suspense and second chance at love between Alex and Emily.

Great story of loss and secrets. Years of hurt and misunderstanding needing the truth to finally heal. Great characters, real and vulnerable, and a plot that holds interest from the beginning to end end. I highly recommend it.
