When reading a book about a magical academy, the first question that comes to mind is always ‘is this just going to be Harry Potter?’. I can proudly say the answer is NO NOT EVEN CLOSE with Aour Legacy.
The magical system is so refreshing, and I love the different focuses of the classes, which almost make it feel like a real thing!
Not to mention the characters are so diverse and fun! This book felt like a unique fantasy and cultural deep dive all in one!!
Also the PLOT TWIST???? i started to figure it out and audibly went ‘no she didn’t!!’ and ladies and gentlemen JB Spring DID!!!! oh my gosh read this book i’m begging y’all. the author is SO nice as well and the story behind writing this book is so heartwarming.

The world was wonderfully done and enjoyed the concept and how the characters worked overall. It was a strong start to the Aour Legacy series, the characters had that overall feel that I was looking for. It had a mystery element that I enjoyed going on through the plot. It had that fantasy world element that I was hoping for and glad I was able to read this.

If you love Harry Potter and Fourth Wing, this book is for you! Set at a magical academy for gifted adults, you follow along as the characters learn and develop! There are fun twists and surprises all along the way! You won’t be disappointed! You will finished with a million questions and wanting more!
