Breaking news: Bigfoot ain’t real.
But the ten big, burly mountain men bathing in the river are…

I met the Björnsson brothers when I broke my ankles hiking in the mountain wilderness.
Okay, so I panicked when I saw them naked in the river, convinced they were a pack of grizzly bears, and ran like the wind.

But when they offer to carry me back to their cabin and nurse me back to health, I can’t say no.
The ten brothers take turns feeding me, healing my wounds, and taking care of my every need.

I don't ever want to leave their cabin.
But even if I did…

I don’t think these ten possessive bearded alphas will let me.

TEN MOUNTAIN MEN is Book 2 in the Ten of a Kind Series, starring the imperfectly perfect Goldie, and the ten gorgeous Björnsson brothers who are instantly obsessed with her. It’s a steamy standalone reverse harem romance with no cheating and a super sweet HEA guaranteed!

DNF. While she’s not the only reason I’m DNF’ing halfway through, Goldie’s like 85% of it. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I dislike her. She’s judgmental, wishy washy, stupid, and the whole hidden camera thing makes me livid. It’s such a violation of the men.

There's something in the water in this series, because a second woman from the same group of friends has found herself a passel of brothers to create her own harem. It is advertised as a forced proximity (by their own making, honestly) reverse harem, and the whole book definitely delivered in that regard. What was kind of the let down was how the storyline was written. There was a lot of description on the front end of things, almost too much in the middle, and then at the end when the reader is hoping to get a fully formed conclusion - everything is rushed, forgiven and all happens with no explanation. So much of the story was gone over in explicit detail, to the point where it felt like too much, and then the ending is rushed and I don't feel like it was fully formed or that I really received closure. So, it was disappointing in that regard. However, if you're just here for the group sex scenes, it would definitely be worth the read. There are plenty of MMF scenes and there's even a MMMMMMMMMMF scene at the end of the book. By the way - yikes! That's a ton of dick for one person to take in succession. Teflon vagina.

The whole premise of Goldie (the FMC) being on this out of the way mountain is that she was saved from death by bobcat from Bigfoot as a child and now she's back to prove that he's real. And film the whole thing to make a documentary on Sasquatch. It feels like quite the stretch to me. The conviction with which she really believes this is kind of astonishing for such an intelligent adult. AND she manages to convince herself that the 9 (we meet #10 a little later on) really hairy dudes she manages to stumbled upon are actually Sasquatches .... COME ON!

Goldie is a little too high maintenance for my liking. She is a minimalist and seems to judge anyone who isn't on her level of "cleanliness." The judgement pouring off of her when she sees into the guys house for the first time is downright bitchy. They're doing her a huge favor by allowing her to take a bath in their home and she's focused on the fact that they don't have the bath products she wants. And for someone who doesn't like things cluttering up her life, she seems to be pretty materialistic and wanting the finer things in life. I get that there's a reason behind her dislike of mess, what with her mom having cluttered up her childhood with too many sentimental items and drama and all. But it doesn't really feel like a good enough reason to think these guys are living like slobs with hoarder tendencies.

So many cliche elements to this story. Our FMC is a 30-year old virgin, who has been waiting for the perfect man, attached to the "perfect cock." And she happens to run into a group of super attractive, albeit hairy, brothers who are of physically daunting proportions. I mean, one of them mentions that he's 7'1"! That's not a man ... that's a giant. And they all seem to have "rapunzelesque" length hair and ZZ Top level beards. All of these guys are alpha males, who are all growly and possessive. Honestly, it's the perfect storm of romance novel tropes.
I feel like it has to be said. The size of schlong coming at Goldie from ten different angles is too damn much. I've done some measurements for some people who are visually oriented people. Several of their dicks are described akin to her forearm. Now, my arms and forearms aren't very large, but I'll use mine since it's what I have right now. It is 9" in length and 8" in diameter. There's no way that my entire forearm would comfortably fit into anyone's vagina. At least there's no way without any kind of major lube and lead up. For the love of God, please use realistic dicks in these books. I get that these are large men - but there's no way that they're ALL comfortably walking around with lead fucking pipes stuck to their thighs.

The level of comfortable these brothers are with one another is a level of comfortable I hope to never be with my sibling. They tell each other pretty much everything, aren't concerned with each others erections, prolific as they are, and talk to the others about the things they'd like Goldie to do to them, or do to her. Or what group activities they would participate in. I suppose it feeds into them being hidden away on a mountain together, but still, that's a whole lot of closeness. Then when the author finally gets to the spicy scenes, the level of close they are during those are way too familiar for a group of men who are brothers. Whole lot of up close and personal and being very well acquainted with one another's junk. There's a scene where they all collectively splooge all over her. Jerking off in a circle with your brothers who are all sleeping with the same woman seems way too incestual to me.

All of these individuals are leaning way too hard on the excuse that Goldie needs to stay on the mountain with them in order to "heal." It's not even remotely plausible as an excuse and they all need to nut up and realize that the reason that they don't want to be away from each other is that they like each other. It's not some mystical connection through Sasquatch voodoo - it's attraction, plain and simple. Just grow up and explore it instead of piling on excuses to make yourselves more comfortable, sheesh! And Goldie is wishy washy as hell. A girl is allowed to change her mind and can remove consent at ANY time, but she's just being dishonest with herself. She wants to be "fucked" and then when things are offered to her to help in that regard, she denies it and excuses away reasons that she shouldn't. I suppose you can lie to those around you, but

I truly don't understand why Goldie felt the need to tell the brothers why she was on the mountain in the first place and then makes so many shitty choices after that first one. I feel like they would have understood why she was looking for her Sasquatch her reasoning behind wanting to do so. But then instead of coming clean, she decides to film them without their consent or knowledge and feels guilty about it. But then still goes ahead and places a bunch of hidden cameras. That - combined with the fact that she IS there as a hunter and is producer who wanted to make a documentary about her search and find DOESN'T LOOK GOOD! You can see the implosion coming from a billion miles away.

There's a whole lot of hush hush surrounding the guys father and their mom as well. When it turns out that their mom is still alive and well (and is the woman who Goldie meets at the beginning of the book) that was the most shocking part of the whole book. But the "big" reveal as to how their father died and why they're touchy about Sasquatch in general is kind of anti-climactic. Very sad and explains why they're all so upset about it still, but just wasn't AS earth shattering as I assumed it would be. Maybe if ALL parties had been honest with one another, it would have been better for everyone.

Definitely continued reading this story for the group sex scenes. The brothers are all very sweet, if not a little simple. They're all huge on consent and checking in with the FMC. Which, given that this book was written by a female author, makes tons of sense. That part is done incredibly well. I don't regret reading this one at all!

The premise was really cute & the start was really cute. But I found the mfc to have almost zero redeeming qualities. She was shallow & her zillion reminders of her search for perfection were just too much. I quit.

Ten Mountain Men is the second book in Archer's Ten Of A Kind Series. This "why choose", friends to lovers, contemporary romance features Rose-Gold Amber Locke aka Goldie and the Björnsson brothers: Clay, Buck, Nash, Lynx, Ash, Ranger, Rusty, Hunter, Brooks, and Luke.

Goldie is 30-year old, plus sized woman who was working as a field producer in reality television. When she was a child, she had an encounter with Bigfoot. She was camping in the woods and came across a bobcat. Just before the wild cat attacked, Bigfoot saved her. Now she is determined to capture footage of the mythical beast to prove to the world that Sasquatches exist.

Goldie returns to the same mountain and at first believes she has stumbled across not one, not two, not even three of these beings, but ten of them. She soon realizes that these are just abnormally large men who reside on the mountain, and not Sasquatches. Or maybe they're part Sasquatches.

Determined to get to the bottom of this mystery she ends up befriending these very large, very rugged men to whom she is incredibly attracted. But Goldie is someone who believes that she will find her true love and is saving herself for that person. Well, at least that is what she told herself. The more she learns about these men, the more they steal her heart.

This why choose is an entertaining story of one woman who thought she knew what she wanted until she found ten men who showed her what she needed. This is a witty and spicy book with a nod to some of our favourite classic fairy tales.

No word yet on the next release in this series but having enjoyed the first two installments, I am definitely looking forward to a third.

If you are a fan of Why Choose, you will most likely enjoy Ten Mountain Men. I, myself, love why choose and I really like mountain men romances. This books was a great combination of the two.
Goldie is a recently unemployed TV producer. If you read Liz's previous book, Ten Hammers then you may remember her as the producer of the reality show. When Goldie was a child, she was camping in the woods and came upon a bobcat. Just as she was about to be attacked, she was rescued by, what she claimed was Bigfoot. She has now taken it upon herself to go back to those woods in search of Bigfoot. As you can probably guess, that's where she stumbles on her ten mountain men.
What I liked most about this book, is she didn't immediately jump into bed with them. Being a virgin, she was holding out for the special someone. This was a unique take on the why choose trope and I, for one, enjoyed it. While there was not a lot of character development for the men, as is hard when there are ten, there was quite a bit for the FMC. The men's story slowly evolves throughout the book and the reader begins to understand their reluctance to let anyone know they are living there as the story goes.
If you are looking for a fun, why choose romance Ten Mountain Men is a good choice. I managed to read through it in only a day and a half even though it was over 400 pages. It was entertaining and I found myself wanting to know what would happen next.

I received this book as an ARC. This is my honest opinion of this book.

Goldie is on a road trip. 1 Girl and 10 Hammers, the show she worked on for 8 season has come to an end. She has been offered other jobs but nothing seemed right, so she's gone on a road trip to a mountain, where a very strange incident occurred when she was younger, she was saved by a Sasquatch. So, she is going to see if she can get footage of this creature and make her own personal documentary about it. But when she thinks she has stumbled onto a nest of them, she soon finds out, they definitely not Sasquatches, and finds she needs their help when she hurts herself trying to evade them.

The 10 brothers love their quiet life in the mountains, they have had enough of people and how cruel they can be. They may be very tall and rugged mountain men, but they are not there to be gawped at.

Goldie is looking at these men through her 'producer glasses', seeing an angle she can take for her documentary. Is she skirting the line of the ethical, yes! But if she can prove her theory, it will all worth it.

But she realises that these men, are gentle, kind and loving, well apart from the grumpy oldest. Each bring something to the table. The men soon fall under Goldie's spell, they don't want her to leave, can they make her stay? Can they show her the beauty of the simplistic lifestyle which will make her want to be with them all? Is Goldie ready to leave her old life behind?

A definite 10 out 10!!.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. This book is funny. I knew it would be. I wanted to know more about Goldie, the reality show producer. Ms. Archer gave me everything. Goldie is exactly who I thought she would be. Hilarious. Rose-Gold Locke is trying to figure out what to do next now that her previous show is done. She decides to go camping by herself. Not glamping, real camping in a tent by herself. She went back to a mountain that she visited as a kid determined to find the Bigfoot that saved her. Find him and shine a light on how kind they are.

Imagine her surprise when she finds several Sasquatch-like creatures playing in the lake near her campsite. Goldie soon discovered that they were not the elusive creature she was looking for but a family. The Bjornssons lived on this mountain with each other in a small cabin. All ten of the brothers looked a little unkempt, but that worked for them. Goldie, after getting hurt, was taken to their cabin to heal.

Goldie finally decides to let go of the planning but hold onto some secrets. She knows the brothers are keeping things from her, and she cannot let it go. The way Goldie’s mind is set up, she cannot get over the clutter of the cabin and how unkempt these men were. She offered to make them over.

Goldie strikes up a deal with the brothers to just have fun. They were more than ok with sharing her as long as she didn’t force them to make a choice. Though Goldie was inexperienced, she decided to just have fun with these men. Like most things, feelings come into play and Goldie has to decide what to do. Will the secrets that they are all fighting so hard to keep hidden come to light? Are their feelings strong enough to get over the hurt? I am really enjoying this series.

Whew… After reading this book I have a sudden urge to go look for some brothers living on a mountain!

I have to be honest, the beginning dragged a bit for me. Goldie was saved as a child by what she thought was a Bigfoot. (And believe me, you wouldn’t be able to forget that if you wanted to. I have never read the word Sasquatch as much as I have in this book.) She goes looking for Bigfoot at the same place she saw him twenty years earlier. She thinks she’s found him when she sees 8 hairy males in the river. Even though it is obvious early on they are not what she was looking for, she holds on tight to the idea for a, for me, ridiculously long time.

The other part that irked me a bit was that, as soon as she arrived, she immediately wanted to change everything. The brothers, the house…

Apart from that, I loved the story. The storyline was cute, the smut was sexy and especially the end scene was everything a reader could want.

Would definitely recommend, but keep in mind that it is basically an orgy with ten brothers so if you are eek’ed out by siblings seeing each other’s junk, this might not be for you…

Goldie is on a break from being a TV producer and decides to go on her own to film a Sasquatch discovery documentary. She goes to the same mountain that she was rescued by Sasquatch at a child to find that one for the reveal but also to say thank you. She instead stumbles upon a herd of 10 very hairy Sasquatch-esque brothers who she may or may not fall in love with as she gets to know them in their little off the grid mountain cabin.

After reading the 10 Hammers book I really didn’t think it could be done again with such a large group but this was really fun. Almost every one had their own personality and the mystery backstory kept me guessing the whole time. Great spice, the 30 year old virgin waiting for the perfect moment and then doing it in a tent with a near stranger seemed a little odd but it was hot so there’s that. From the last book I thought her name was Goldie and I’ll admit when she says her name is actually Rose Gold Locke I definitely rolled my eyes a lot but overall enjoyed it and I won’t say that I wouldn’t read another.

Unfortunately I cant give this one a five star. It started out to be really good, then it got very hard to read and I'm sorry to say it didn't hold my attention no matter how hard I tried to keep on reading this. However there were a few laugh out loud moments which was good.

Goldie was on a mission to go camping on the mountain and to find her Big foot. The Big foot who saved her when she was small. However when she got up the mountain she got more than she bargined for. She found ten brothers who she at first thought were big foots, but they were just men who hadn't shaved and where sporting really long beards and long hair.
Taking time to get to know the men after she has sprained her ankle, she soon falls for all the men, but will they forgive her when they find out the real reason she was on their mountain in the first place?.

NGL at the beginning of this book it was giving me Goldielocks and the three bears vibes (even before the part where the guys bring it up). And I thought to myself oh shit is super cute. Then after the initial first chapters it dropped that part all together.

I liked the storyline of this but I think it would have been much better with a smaller harem. 10 guys really is too much IMO. It's giving me "insta love" vibes because how the heck can she fall in love with 10 guys in such a short time and one of them hates her until the very end of the book? Overall though the characters were likeable, and the story was cute.

Goldie is finally getting her story. (you meet her in 10 hammers one girl) but this can be read as a standalone.

Goldie thinks she is just getting away from everything for a few days, possibly working her private film project. She doesn't expect to run into 10 brothers as big as Sasquatch's up there.

This story has so may complex emotions and feelings. Goldie finds herself drawn to all the men, in different ways, but very much feeling the same for all of them. There is a nice reminder that sometimes there are more things we learn in life that jealousy and envy.

Goldie is used to things being just in their place, and these brothers are NOTHING but messy. They all make a unique connection to her, and even though its unconventional, it works for them,

There is lots of things to learn, humor, sexy manly vibes, and a HEA you wanted them to have so badly!

I was so excited to read this book after reading the first!!! This book is based off the bestie from the first book.

Fmc is a bit of a crazy traumatized perfectionist, but it’s understandable due to how her mom was, and is also feisty but sweet. She ends up trying to relive some of her childhood by going into the woods by herself. (Girl that’s not safe.)

There she finds TEN men who actually own said mountain, and help her after she gets into trouble. They have their own trauma and have chosen to hide away from the world.

Honestly I wish there was more to the ending, I wanted to see the future years from now of maybe a get together with everyone. I also think the men should’ve revealed why they were so hesitant maybe midway through versus the second to last chapter. Besides that who doesn’t love the idea of multiple men into you?

Another great story by Liz Archer. This is a little long, but totally worth the read.

Reverse Harem Why Choose
V!rgin FMC

Goldie is a field producer in reality TV. Luke is the oldest of the ten brothers and the youngest is Rusty who is twenty. Goldie meets the brothers on top of the mountain that she is trying to find the Bigfoot that saved her years ago from a bobcat. We have Luke, Rusty, Ash, Nash, Clay, Brooks, Lynx, Buck, Hunter and Ranger. Luke known as Grumpy Luke is the only one that doesn't want Goldie there.

Will Goldie get on Luke's good side? Will she have to leave? How many hearts will be broken when she leaves? Will she lose her v card to any of the brothers? What happens when she finds her savoir from her childhood? Is she disappointed when she realizes who it actually is? So many questions that you need to finish reading to find your answers.

I really dislike the miscommunication trope. Just talk! You’re not starring in an angst-filled teen movie!

If communication issues and secrets don’t bother you, you’ll probably enjoy the book. Those secrets, though, are the only plot this book has besides the formation of the reverse harem. There are no other plot mechanisms at work.

No stalkers, no horrible ex, no kids, no funny neighbors, no difficult jobs, no mysteries, no murder, no mayhem. Just ten men and one woman who are all adults and yet incapable of having necessary conversations. All relevant conversations are internal and therefore do not move the plot forward.

By the way, the ten men act badly due to the secrets at the end and never apologize. Goldie apologizes, but they don’t. So… yeah. That’s a bothersome ending for me.

4.75 ⭐️ Just about every page had me smiling or laughing. There are quite a few goldilocks and the three bears references, especially toward the beginning of the book. Each of the 10 brothers had unique personalities, and Goldie's (the FMC) character growth was amazing. The story flowed well - even when switching POV or switching between open-door and closed-door spicy scenes. This would be a 5 star book if not for the abrupt ending. I wanted to see more character growth for the brothers - more of a resolution for their individual stories.

You'll like this book if you like: why-choose, reverse harem, mountain man romance, romcom, innocent FMC, innocent MMC (1), grumpy/sunshine, borderline instalove, spice

I really enjoyed this story. I laughed and cried and laughed some more. I really felt for Goldie in her search for Sasquatch who rescued her when she was young and in danger of being attacked by a bobcat in the mountains. Years later after the production of Ten Hammers ended, Goldie wanted to do a documentary of the elusive Sasquatch, but she doesn’t plan for the encounter of 10 sexy mountain men who look like Sasquatch, but just 10 men who have let their Hair go. What starts off as in hilarious encounter turns into a love story. That she doesn’t plan for and a happily ever after.

If you are a fan of Ten Hammers, you are gonna love this book. Here, we get to know Goldie as she embarks on her quest to find the Sasquatch who saved her as a child. So I was a bit skeptical in the beginning as to whether or not I would enjoy the book, but by the time Goldie had met the Björnsson brothers, I was hooked. I loved the brothers and their different personalities and finding out their unique skills, I honestly could have kept reading about them forever. Overall, this was a great book and exactly what I've come to expect from this auhtor.

Goldie is determined she’s going to find Sasquatch/Big Foot since she met him years before. She stumbles upon the brothers naked in the river and mistakes them for a clan of Sasquatch and she gets hurt when they chase after her.

The getting to know them stage was funny, awkward, sweet and swoony. Goldie’s reactions are a little judgmental at first, but she grows and takes the time to get to know each of the brother individually.

I really liked the first in the series and was looking forward to this one, but it didn’t really do it for me. Goldie was way too judgmental and Luke spent 99% of the book being an ass and then he’s confessing his love and that’s it? No real sexy times for them, no heart to heart? Just a confession of love and the epilogue? That was a letdown. And the amount of times Goldie attempted to find the hidden cameras and then didn’t was aggravating. I get we needed the climax (and there was a lot of that happening) but it became tedious. As did Goldie pushing makeovers on them. I just found her to be really shallow.

As unlikely as a 10 to 1 relationship may be in real life... I SO enjoy reading about them. And Liz Archer does an amazing job.

While I met Goldie in Ten Hammers, I did not get the impression that she was inexperienced. This book suggested otherwise. It certainly doesn't remain that way, with ten gorgeous mountain men in close proximity and willing to cater to her every need.

Loved the individualism of each man, and how he saw Goldie.

Great characters, LOTS of steamy goodness, fun and love.

Fantastic story!.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Goldie, Lynx, Luke, Hunter, Ash, Buck, Brooks, Nash, Rusty, Clay, & Ranger. Goldie has a plan it is to go up the mountain and try and find the big foot that saved her as a child. What she didn't plan on was finding 10 men who are big enough to be big foot instead. These men have been living on this mountain all their lives it is where they work and live. One little woman though threatens to tear that all apart. Can they all find their HEA or will the untold secrets make that impossible?

Another amazing story by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Anything that involves that many love interests and their caring nature deserves to be read and enjoyed without fault. For me this was one of those romance stories I read in between some of the more darker romances that sit within my TBR library which in turn usually makes them that little more fun and enjoyable to read. A decently created plot filled with action, drama, frustrations, emotional turmoils and sexual tensions that simply kept me glued to each page and chapter.
Loved the characters and to think when you have that number of love interests why would you be choosing.

I thought the first book was unique and I wasn’t sure how one could make it work again. However, this was a cool take. The setup was intriguing. The off grid aspect did make things interesting. I liked getting to know the characters. I felt like things did start to come together well with 9 of them. However, the ending seemed to come about quick and led to very little time for working through that last relationship. I wish we could have seen that play out more. It was an enjoyable read though.

Absolutely love 10 hammers… But I think I preferred this book over the first. Who doesn’t love a hunky mountain man? Now multiply that times 10… And I have a heart that goes pitter patter. The guys were the best mishmash of personalities and I loved seeing them go all gooey for the damsel in distress…makes me want to go camping real bad 😂
The way these men act towards and around Goldie made me swoon & thank you thank you thank you for all of the little details that went into describing these men and all their glory. Would not be sad for an epilogue or a part 2 of their story…

I enjoyed this book with all ten mountain men. Goldie makes some mistakes when she first gets to the mountain but falls for nine of the ten men right off. The tenth man is a bit harder to reach with his walls up. A big misunderstanding and some very hurt feelings come between them until it is all sorted out. I liked the individual interactions between the men and Goldie. I highly recommend this book to all reverse harem romance readers.
