Beckett’s life had always been chaotic, but after falling for strait-laced, buckled-up, even-headed Hayes Monroe, he’d sort of expected things to settle down.
They haven’t. Not even close.
Somehow, they might have gotten crazier.
For one thing, he might just be in love with Hayes. For another, their vacation got hijacked by a little person and a mustachioed art con. Then, because things weren’t crazy enough, the discovery of a dead man on a couch might send Hayes to prison and it’s all Chase’s fault.
Oh, and it turns out Hayes has a closet overflowing with skeletons and hot women, which threatens to unravel everything they’ve worked so hard to build together.
Beckett had expected things to quiet down, instead, chaos seems to be multiplying all around them.
A wild ride from start to finish, this book is ridiculously fun to read. It’s a roller coaster ride of a story. This second book in the series is outstanding on every level with quirky, intelligent characters who meet every challenge tossed their way. The first book in this series is unquestionably laugh-out-loud, solid entertainment. But this second book is even more amazing. Action-packed and hilarious from start to finish, the two main characters, Beckett and Hayes, are unforgettable and unstoppable. The value added to this fine story from the supporting cast of characters cannot be overstated. Elements of drama, comedy, friendship, love, loyalty, and honor merge to make this exceptional story truly satisfying as the tension builds to a nail-biting conclusion. This extraordinarily talented writer brings these characters and their adventures to life in a way that is unmatched in the genre. It’s simply impossible to say just how much I look forward to the third book in this series.
Just finished this series and it’s clearly a rip off of the Cut and Run Series by Abigail Roux. Beckett was Ty. I mean down to almost every detail, minus making him French Canadian vs from W. Va. And Hayes was written with some of Zane’s traits as well. Even little aspects were copied…ex. An aversion to a vacation using the same reason as Ty and Zane. So many things copied. I seriously can’t give this story more than 1 star bc it feels plagiarized. Reader beware.
Sadly, I can only give this book one star due to the disturbingly high number of similarities to Abigail Roux’s Cut & Run series. I am a huge fan of the Cut & Run series and have read the series countless times over the years to the point that I can quote parts of the books. Straight away, I noticed similarities in characters, events and even sentences and phrases (and t-shirts with funny slogans just like Ty) to the point that it cannot be denied. It’s not cool to copy things from other authors’ books. It’s a shame because this could have been a good series without taking from other people’s work. I discovered this author when their book “Uncharted Terrain” was recommended to me. I loved that book and gave it five stars. But this is very disappointing.
This one along with book 1 were such a fun time. Beckett and Hayes truly are mayhem and chaos and I absolutely loved it.
I was not expecting the whole Thalia situation and it bothered me a bit when I realized where it was headed, but I ended up being surprisingly okay with the way it played out.
*Note - there were a few grammar errors though nothing major.
I loved the first book, and while I mostly enjoyed this one, it didn’t hit the same for me. Overall there was a lot I liked. I felt like the relationship was funny while also clearly showing how they felt about it each other. The communication was also so fun to see even if Beckett usually had to force Hayes to do it most of the time. But when the conversations were brought up they were honest about their feelings for the situation.
What I didn’t like isn’t that significant. But the threesome with Hayes’s childhood crush really took me out of the book. I also have no problem with scenes like this in books but for some reason it didn’t really make too much sense. They were mostly jealous and possessive over each other. Maybe I missed something and this was something other readers may have thought was expected at some point. But the way I viewed their relationship was thrown for a loop after that point for some reason.
When I read books and two characters are inviting people to have sex with them, I feel like a lot of authors are pretty good about establishing the relationship in way where you kinda expect to read it at some point. Maybe I should have know because both characters talk about how they are still attracted and want women, but again were still jealous of other people and just didn’t really seem like the ones to invite other people in.
But other than this part, I really enjoyed the mystery of this one. I really wasn’t sure if Hayes was lying and I couldn’t wait to find out. Loved getting to see Gill’s husband too. Overall, had a fun time reading.

A good sequel to the first one, with very cute banter. I really like the relationship they have and how they trust each other. They're both very just fun to read, and even if half the time they're (mostly Beckett) being idiots, it makes sense for the universe. Like they know they're ridiculous, but it works. The conflict in this book was well done, if a tad unrealistic but hey, still good.
Chase made me want to whack him upside the head a few times and I wished the other two buddies had been around more at the end. The formatting was mostly fixed as well, compared to the first novel.
NOOOOOOOOO !!!!! THERE WILL BE A BOOK 3???? Have I known I wont read this series yet! 😭 Oh yes well, i was just about to say I needed that moment of Beckett's brother's store opening and that Beckett brought Hayes to show his family that he's his boyfriend so I guess this is still a good thing. But, would that be the final installment? Aww i cant wait for the book 3! 😍 I love these two so much. And no! I dont forgive Chase yet. Ugh! 😡😤
This book jumped the shark, more than anything because there was too much crammed into one book. It definitely could have been split up into two books: one when they are in Paris and a second when they go to New York.
Again, there are an ABSURDLY large number of ways in which this resembles the Cut and Run series.
I can’t say enough good things about this book. I devoured it and I’m totally in love with Hayes and Beckett. There’s only I thing in the book I did not enjoy and that was when Beckett said he didn’t want kids. !! Devastated they would make such wonderful Daddies. Again this book delivers top notch banter that I gobbled down like a manic chicken. Can not wait for book 3!!!
Hayes and Beckett rank up there with Dean/Cas and Shane/Ilya. I could read about these two til the end of time. The juxtapositions between their personalities is perfect and their chemistry is so good! Idiots in love is my favorite and these two nail that! So grateful to have another story and can’t wait for the third book!
I loved it, I do however wish Beckett would have socked Chase at least one more time for good measure. Or Hayes once he was able, I would have been fine if it was Hayes. Haha
Please tell me more books are coming out for this series eventually.((?))
I like these characters but not the best written books. Needs better editing and plot tightening. Story is a bit all over the place and there are plot holes a plenty.
