This is a fantasy LitRPG series with system apocalypse themes that is currently only available on Royal Road.  Set on Earth that is absorbed into a system and transformed by the introduction of mana.  Coop is a lighthouse keeper on an island that has a historical fort.  Due to his starting circumstances and his willingness to grind through enemies/quests he is able to progress quickly.  Coop does get somewhat overpowered but it feels believable.  He is mostly a solo fighter with a revenant class.  There is some light city building but the focus is mostly on Coop's progression. The title of the series comes from Coop being unchosen.....as in not initially sponsored by a galactic faction like many humans/animals were.  I've read 300 chapters there thus far.  I love this series and will continue reading it as it becomes available.

If you like Defiance of the Fall, Primal Hunter, or Path of Dragons then you may like this series as well.

Read on RoyalRoad. Over 400 chapters.

A nice enjoyable read. By no means perfect, but the plot is interesting and it’s a fun main character to follow. A good story where the main character is just a positive guy.

Not as dark as many LitRPGs.

Can be repetitive at times and it dragged a little in the chapter 300s, but managed to finish it all.
