In an ever-changing dystopian world ravaged by nuclear war, one constant trust no one.
When Vince Foster, hitman, is hired by the most powerful man in London, he doesn't think twice.
Seven targets in seven places on the other side of the ocean and they have to disappear—no evidence. Vince makes quick work of his first two targets and things seem to be going well until an unpredictable betrayal rocks him to his core. His priorities change in an instant and he finds himself working with those he would otherwise have called his enemies.
The hitman is out for blood and won't stop until he satisfies his one motivation—revenge.
I really really enjoyed the start of this new series from up and coming fantasy/dystopian author Austin Windsor! One of my favourite things about his writing is the moral ambiguity of the protaganists, making for a much more interesting read (disclaimer: I hate Vince!!! but in a good way... if I knew him in real life I'd sock him in the face.) Also every time I read 'Maddox' my brain interpreted it as 'Murdoch'. Just saying, wouldn't mind if Vince went after him... Can't wait for the next books in this series, as well as the third Order's Trials.
