A practical, modern day grimoire showing how easy and pleasurable it is to incorporate the age-old ways of the wise woman into the demanding life of any contemporary woman. Practicing woman's magic is about being fully conscious of who you are and taking responsibility for what you create.
I am not one to get mad at older books that have been published and discuss problematic views of life because I recognize that cultures and life were different back then, and perhaps people who are saying things considered bad now were rather progressive for their time. However, I do not excuse these behaviours for someone living in the current era, I just think they're something to acknowledge and learn from, not something to shame and erase from history. This book in particular is not that bad, just very heavy on 90s/early 2000s wave feminism that focuses on female anatomy and the female/male binary way too much for my liking, even if I understand this point of view during that time. I don't think it has much of a place now in witchcraft as witches realize that this can be too exclusive. I am not someone who wants to diminish identity to physical features when there's a lot within, though I don't disrespect someone who believes their fertility and body heavily correlates to their magic, for any reason! Overall, I just was not able to learn anything of value to me in this book, though I thought it was well-written and well-organized. I wouldn't say it's useless at all, just not for me and maybe not for this generation!
