This was a slog-through for me. Milarepa is considered a buddha who, by the end of his life's journey, reaches enlightenment and becomes a sort of saint, (at least a treasured guru.) I was interested in this ancient account because all religions cross paths at certain definitive points, and there is always at least one volume on philosophy or religion on my nightstand, so why not.
But I'll be honest and tell you I'm happy to return to my "Hinduism for Dummies" and get this Life of Milarepa back to the library.
