What if General Custer survived the Battle of the Little Bighorn?
Custer's Last Stand is synonymous with the American West, but what if one of the most famous battles in history didn't happen the way that we know today?
In President Custer, Keegan Miles is given the unenviable assignment of protecting one of the most controversial generals in history from certain defeat. Will he do it - or, more importantly, should he do it?
Along the way, Keegan uncovers more information about Spero, the secretive organization he works for that sends agents through time to fix history's "mistakes." Nothing is quite as it seems, as Keegan races to determine whether history deserves to be changed or protected.
If you loved the first two books in the Saving Time series, you'll love the third President Custer.
Interesting plot, but too long andbelabored for my personal taste!
In my opinion the plot is far too speculative! Custer is a controversial figure. Most mythological figures are! I just can’t buy the greed narrative! I think hubris and loss of realization that we don’t know all! Even social science is an ongoing search for the final truth. Part of a journey, not a truth to be acted upon. I doubt the author understood this or he would center the series around Tether Sky and write from Carl’s viewpoint.
The story is interesting, but the main issue has to do with the editing. While not immersion breaking, the errors are noticeable. I would like to see more character development with the protagonist, Keegan Miles; the readers still don't know much about him beyond having served in the Marines.
