I read The Lord of the Rings as a child. The sense of wonder and escape was unlike anything I had ever experienced. I developed a voracious appetite for fantasy and owe much to the influence of J.R.R. Tolkien, Terry Brooks, Raymond E. Feist, Tad Williams, J.K. Rowling, Terry Goodkind, Robert Jordan, and David Eddings, among others. Fantasy offers more than simple entertainment and escapism. It provides new perspectives, explores themes such as friendship, love, and honour, evokes a sense of wonder, and allows us to experience adventures we can only dream about. It also teaches valuable truths we can apply in our own lives. More importantly, it allows us to imagine. As Albert Einstein once said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” I wanted to write this series for a long time. It returns to the roots of the classic epic fantasy I grew up with. I have been fortunate to experience both the lowest lows and the highest successes in life. The former has proven to be the better teacher. I draw from a rich well and have learned that beautiful people exist at both ends. Remember, we are all in this together. The weapons master once said, “Everything you want is on the other side of fear.” I took his advice and put pen to paper. In essence, I broke through my wall. I hope these books offer all the benefits mentioned above, and more. I never imagined that writing fantasy would be more rewarding than reading it. The inspiration and creativity I experienced exceeded anything I could have dreamed of, made possible by learning how to imagine. I hope this story connects with you and makes a difference in your life because, after all, I wrote it for you.
Sincerely, Terry Ironwood

Book 3 picks up with Chip, wizard Xander, and their companions fleeing east on the One Road as a new threat rises in the west, pulling them into Fang Forest to investigate strange activity beneath Cave Mountain, the ancient lair of the Unnamed One. What they uncover is an evil deeper than anything they imagined, a creature untouched by magic turning their mission into a fight for survival and drawing Chip into a literal “dim world” hidden below. A Dim World becomes a strong, focused continuation of the series, showing a world slowly losing its memories and the people fighting to hold on to what matters. The story feels tighter and more emotional, with characters struggling against fading truths, shifting loyalties, and the fear of forgetting themselves. The worldbuilding stays vivid through grounded details, and the tension builds steadily as the stakes grow more personal.
I read the others but this ones and they were great . it was like the first time reading Lord of the Rings. I was totally hooked but then Dim World came along. There is almost no time to breath it just keeps vetting faster. I read it in a morning and can't wait for the next one. I'm seventy six years old and still very excited..
The first books is this series are more like novellas, and to be honest, not especially well-written. However, there was enough of a storyline that I wanted to see what happened next. But the later books are much longer, and the writing quality drastically improved. I’m very glad I kept reading until the last book! I’d advise any skeptics to do the same.
In an effort to make.the plot "epic" the choice to continually put the rag tag group in unbelievable situations made for a boring arc. The constant life or death situations always resolved by a convoluted plot device or dues ex makes for a eye rolling slog of a read. For now, I'll keep reading in hopes it will get better.
Great character building. The story makes me want to meet the characters, well , the heroes at least. Can't wait to read the next next one too see what other challenges they face.
These books are too short. The story is fine. But seriously, this book was 6 chapters. I bought the complete series, but honestly, the complete series should just be One Book.
An engaging fantasy adventure and a solid triquel to the series. The action can get a little monotonous, but there's plenty of excitement along the way. The Dim was a clever plot device that borders on horror-adventure. Looking forward to the next part.
Really enjoying this series! It's very easy to read and it's lots of fun and adventure. The characters are great too. Already started book #4 and enjoying it lots!
