Azaria is a vampire. Newly turned, she was taken and kept in a dark, cement room, hidden from the outside world, tortured and studied.
Ian is a businessman. Ian Villari and the rest of his vampire family are well respected figureheads around town. When the Dietrich family extends the offer of their name and coven, Ian refuses, setting their allies on edge.
Left alone in the house when her captor dies, Azaria works to acclimate to her new freedom. When Ian spots the curious vampire lurking around town, timid and nervous of her surroundings, he finds her intriguing. The only thing? This mysterious creature just might be what the Dietrich family needs to gain leverage over the Villari.

When you live amongst monsters, you’re bound to find ardent desire.
R.J. Lloyd started off as a romance writer under another pen name. However, R.J. is the side of this award winning, best selling author that delves into fantasy, sci-fi, supernatural, paranormal and all things action and spooky that she loves so much.
A Detroit area based author, R.J. writes both novels and short stories, always looking for the next interesting and slightly off kilter character to follow on an adventure with.
I love me a smexy, protective vampire! Sir.... sir... excuse me, but I volunteer as tribute!
Each book in this series is a Standalone and can be read in any order. I love that. When a series has different couples, but in a shared world, it makes me love it more.
If you haven't read any books from Pharos Hills, go do it! This one has been my favorite so far and the narration was so good! I loved both main characters in this one!
Azaria has been locked away ever since she turned vampire. When her owner dies, she takes advantage of this by trying to navigate the world as a whole new creature. This is where she meets Ian, also a vampire, who decides to take her in and show her a brand-new life. The rest is history.
This one has perfect spice, and I can't wait to read the rest of the series.
