Rate this book
It’s 2024 and you can be whatever you want – on the internet. All you need is the starter pack to your desired personality. Once you have the aesthetic and the lingo, BOOM, you’re a Pretty Robot, too!

Denim is a proud sugar baby and offers no excuses for it. She encourages her large following of women to recognize that they are the prize. However, if social media got wind that she’s doing something strange for a little change, will they think she’s a fraud?

Celebrity MUA, Calla, has built her following by painting the faces of the prettiest women in the game. But when the sun goes down, a married NBA player is painting hers. He claims to love her; but when social media finds out, will he be singing the same tune?

Poppie and her fiancé, Street, have used their cooking skills and even better parenting skills to grow their pockets, and their following. The internet has been a stage to Poppie’s abusive ways due to Street’s new infidelity. Will an attempt to make him jealous go too far?

Popular BookToker, Ambria, is shocked when they ask to display her boring life on the show. This is her first time stepping into the world of the characters she reads about. Will she hold true to who she is, or will she become one of them?

Pre is a mom of three; who went viral for twerking on a cartoon character at her son’s birthday party. The camera has given her financial stability yet has increased her insecurities. Will a BBL have her loving what she sees in the mirror?

To be an IT girl, all you need is eyelashes, a lace front, and at least one video – where you’re lip syncing to a song that you don’t know the lyrics to. Oh, and don’t forget a lemon drop! Reality TV is coming to Baltimore and these five ladies will be household names.

This book was really good. It was low key giving the hood version of The Housewives of Atlanta. Same messy, ratchet, catty drama you see on tv, but with a hood twist.

Pretty Robots

This really read like I was watching reality tv but better because I got to know the behind the scene life as well. The concept of Pretty Robots and underlying message was dope! I also enjoyed the reviews of previous D’artanya books I read. It was like taking a trip down memory lane.

This book was sooooooo good. It felt like the book version of a reality tv show lol. I like how it was ratchet, but there were still lessons to take away from it. It spoke on social issues such as how social media has affected people’s morals and values and how it can change people. This book was very well written. This was my first book by this author and it definitely makes me want to read her entire catalogue now👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
