From the shadows of her past as a Navy Seal sniper to the eerie silence of a small town, Anna Gabriel faces her toughest mission yet.
From #1 Bestselling Author, Georgia Wagner, a gripping new thriller series.
Dishonorably discharged and haunted by her actions overseas, Anna's world is turned upside down when she receives the chilling her sister’s entire family has vanished without a trace.
Once assigned to hunting the most violent terrorists in covert missions, now, back home in picturesque Mammoth Lakes, Anna uses those same skills to track the abductors who took her family.
Is there more going on here than meets the eye? And has Anna’s personal connection clouded her judgement?
One thing is for sure, unless she can pull off her most dangerous mission yet, against overwhelming odds, the only person that matters to her will be ripped away.
Having worked on projects with New York Times Bestsellers and USA Today bestsellers, Georgia Wagner recently hit #1 bestseller with her newest series. Location and character are two big factors for Georgia, and getting those right allows the story to flow seamlessly onto the page. And flow it does, because Georgia is so prolific a new term is required to describe the rate at which nerve-tingling stories find their way into print.
When not found attached to a laptop, Georgia likes spending time in local arboretums, among the trees and ponds. An avid cultivator of orchids, begonias, and all things floral, Georgia also has a strong penchant for art, paintings, and sculptures. A many-decades-long passion for mystery novels and years of chess tournament experience makes Georgia the perfect person to pen the Artemis Blythe series. That's where it all started, but the drive to craft thrilling mystery tales soon demanded new characters in new locations.
An interesting new series from Wagner featuring Anna Gabriel, a former military enforcer, but more badass. She received a text with one word, Help, and is trying to find her sister and family. What was she embroiled in? Good characters and an interesting storyline, and a lot of action. I definitely recommend this book.
This series starter is awesome , it has all the excellent and tough dealing stuff that I’ve come to expect from such a perfect prose master as Georgia Wagner. I should have known that she’d weave the story so well that when you’re done wringing out the story you’re thinking what the …hell!. One word written in text on her phone and this ex Navy Seal is off to her sister’s house in search of her and her family , searching for clues to enable her search. Once assigned to the deadliest terrorist cases in covert operations, she’s now dishonourably discharged left haunted by her memories of her actions overseas. But she’s back home in Mammoth Lakes with one purpose . So using those skills she knows so well from her glory days past , she strives to track her family’s abductors . Not knowing what’s in store and what she’s walking into, she is facing her most dangerous and important of missions yet. And she must not forget to keep her head down and her guard up. … Brilliant writing as always and a gripping tale as well . Edge of your seat immersive and superb actionable storytelling prowess no less ! I’m leaving my review voluntarily and in my own words
This is the start of a new series featuring Anna Gabriel. Anna is a dishonorably discharged Navy Seal, and is trying to find her way in the world now. Traveling in an RV van, she goes from place to place. Now she has received a message from her sister asking for help and she is on her way back home.
But, when Anna arrives there, she finds her sister, and her husband and children are gone. With their house burnt down and two bodies found inside, Anna struggles to find out what happened, and to find out if she got there too late.
Another exciting series by Georgia Wagner and one you don't want to miss!
This is the first book I’ve ever read by Georgia Wagner and could not put it down. It was action packed to the very end. There were so many twists and lies - no thanks to Waldo and the albino. Anna and Casper still have unfinished business to deal with which is why you need to read book two. Love a story with a kick butt female who knows no bounds when it comes to her family.
Although exciting, I found Anna Gabriel to be a one-dimensional character which I was hard-pressed to like. More exposure of her back story would have made for more interesting reading. I am not sure if I want to continue with this series.
How did I miss these? I've read all of Georgia's books. Book 1 was great! I already like Anna. Hoping a few of the others will continue on in the series. Pretty kick a$$!!
Wonderful read. Kept me on the edge of my seat. Continuous action start to finish. Anna may have dishonorable discharged but, in my eyes, she's still a hero. Sharp whit, always a plan, sticks to the job at hanf. In
This was not for me. I like badass women but Too much unbelievable fight and violence. Ok for a movie, but prefer more dialogue and police procedure in a book. Won’t be reading the next installment.
This opening book in this series is action packed and difficult to put down. The plot moves quickly throughout keeping the reader attention to the end.
