The way I was just expecting coziness and happy moments from the main characters and ended up crying.

The two new characters were such a great plus to the story. The plot twist blew my mind and made me cry.

I just want Benny and Turner to be happy please. Also, where can I find Michael and kiss him? He was so fine.


So excited and scared for the next volume tho.

Ich weiß nicht, warum man aus Geschichten, die mit ein paar Seiten mehr wunderbar als Einzelband funktioniert hätten, immer eine Reihe machen muss - so auch bei „Barefoot Angel“. Ich finde die Story rund um den in Ungnade gefallenen Engel Benny und den Schuhmacher Turner wirklich süß und der Zeichenstil spricht mich auch an, zudem mag ich die durch Himmel & Hölle eingebrachten Fantasy-Elemente, aber ich denke als dickerer Standalone wäre der Manga auch super weggekommen. Ich werde Band 3 trotzdem lesen, weil ich wissen möchte, wie die Geschichte ausgeht, hoffe aber, dass nicht noch weitere Teile folgen, weil die Handlung meiner Meinung nach dann auch ausgeschöpft ist.

oh we are spicing up the story, i see!
this could have stayed a oneshot with a beautiful love story between benny and turner, but i don't mind adding more depth to the fallen angel part. this is getting interesting

feels a bit evident that it was not meant to be anything but a one shot. the second volume picks up right after the first one ended and doesn't do much more but introduce new characters and lore, really making you feel like the author suddendly had to add depth to the story because it's going further than expected. i don't mind it tho, i really like the story and wanted to know more about it when i finished the first volume, and i enjoy the direction it is taking, i'm curious over what's coming !
though i feel like i'll have to wait for the series to be done, i wont be able to enjoy the story to its full potential if i don't read it all at once...

That was sweet but felt very unnecessary - we get two new characters that may seem cool but the whole book people just sit around and talk. Barely anything happens. The book ends in exactly the same place that it starts, plus a little bit of background knowledge that we gained. Felt a bit redundant.

Es nota que l'autora no comptava amb la serialització perquè el volum anterior ja té un bon final i aquí ha hagut d'inventar-se lore nou per estirar el xiclet. Tot i així, m'ha semblat una aposta encertada perquè la relació no donava gaire més de si... Amb tot, continuo pensant que les il·lustracions són molt maques, però la història no em diu res :/
