Fast forward five years, they're still together, but Promise has one foot out the door. While working on her escape plan, a new client, Puma Barlowe, enters her life and is determined to make A Bully's Promise his.

Going into this book, you know that there is a bully involved. But that damn LJ was not only a bully, he was also rude, heartless, cold, and just a plain ass! 🤬 He bullied everyone and put the fear of God in them to get his way. Those qualities even spilled over to his homelife as well. The way he treated Promise was horrible, and I don't understand why she put up with that ish that long. Oh, I know why money. Girl.... f that money and get the hell out! That ninja crazy and may really hurt you one day. I loved the relationship Promise had with her family. They were G's for real, for real.

Mr. Puma! He really turned his life around and was ready to claim his woman from the bully who almost broke him in school. He exuded all that confidence, and BDE that Promise could not resist, as hard as she tried. There was so much packed into this quick read, I really enjoyed it. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

This novella was so good. It had a little bit of everything from betrayal, kidnapping, and spice. Promise knew she needed to get away from LJ and put plans in place to do that. LJ was a bully that thought he could control everything and everyone. When he messed with the wrong man trouble came his way. Enter Puma a blast from the past coming to get his woman Promise. Puma was that man and made sure Promise was safe and didn't play about her. I loved Promise's whole family especially Aunt Sasha. I will be reading more from this author.

PUMA ASS IS WEIRD IDC IDC IDC.... He should've said what it was from the jump.. but lustingafter someone you didn't shoot a shot to is interesting .... Also Promise girl all I got is WHAT IZ YEW DOIN GURL!? She continuously put people lives in danger and thought she was still an innocent in this game

I get the jest of the storyline, but I was just very turned off.

Promise is beautiful, inside and out. She of course, from an early age falls for LJ who is a bully through and through. As adults he doesn’t accomplish much but through a lawsuit wins money to start a business. That business gets burned to the grown. Essentially starting a street war.

Promise is tired of LJ’s ways and ready to leave. When she meets Puma and doesn’t recognize him as someone LJ used to bully in highschool. I guess it became annoying to me that it was constantly said. 🤷🏾‍♀️ It became a turn off.

Promise went through a lot dealing with LJ and his mess. Story had a few twists and turns, but ended well. Puma’s story of being tormented by LJ as a child and being the one to end him and take his women (that Puma longed to seek) was one of the best revenge plots I’ve read in a while. I wish them the best

Karma is of course coming to visit when you’re a Bully just for bullying sake.
Title in relationship to the storyline was clever
Puma getting his revenge and the girl was sweet
Promise to have the background she had pissed me off with her decisions

I enjoyed this read. LJ was a straight up bully! He treated his girlfriend awful and didn’t respect her or make her feel safe and loved! Promise finally came to her senses and left him! She made a mistake by tipping him off about something and that’s when he really went on a killing spree! Puma saved the day and him and Promise ended up together and LJ got his karma!

It really picks up towards the end

This was a nice quick novella that I read in one sitting. It had everything; kidnapping, betrayal, lies, just all the right things to suck you in and make you want to read till the end. Throughly enjoyed this one🫶🏾
