About the author

I am Rotherham’s foremost (okay, only) writer of quality erotica and erotic romance. Though I’m now based in London, family and football take me back North on a regular basis. Indeed, if you’re ever at a Rotherham United match (I know, what are the chances?) and you spot a small blonde with a large ‘London Millers’ flag, that’ll be me.

For twenty years, I worked on the UK edition of Forum magazine, for most of those years as editor. In that time, I built up the fiction side of the magazine, and was responsible for publishing the first stories by lots of now well-known and established erotic authors – most notably Portia da Costa and Lindsay Gordon, who was until recently Black Lace’s series editor.

However, I love writing even more than I love editing, and I’ve finally taken the plunge to write full-time. I’ve had stories published by Black Lace, Xcite Books, Cleis Press, Circlet Press, Mammoth, Ravenous Romance, Total-e-bound and more, and my collection of three gay erotic novellas, Wild Rides, will be coming out as a print book from Xcite in 2012. 'Temporary Angel' by Elizabeth Coldwell is a standalone romance with no cliffhangers set during the Christmas holidays and tells the story of Jess Morgan, and Daniel McAndrew, Ray Stockhill, and Etienne Barbeau. Jess has always envied the life her best friend Hannah had and wished she had some of her confidence. Hannah is a burlesque dancer who goes by the name of Angel Golightly. When Hannah has an accident and has to cancel their annual Christmas dinner Jess is bummed but understands. While visiting Hannah in the hospital she answers her phone. It is a gentleman wanting to hire Angel for an intimate party on Christmas Eve. Jess takes the gig and gives Daniel her cell number to call and give the details.

Jess goes to the home of Daniel, who is a wealthy hotelier. It is a very intimate party with the only guests being Daniel’s closest friends, Ray and Etienne. The three men long to find the perfect woman who they can share, in bed and out. Each of the three men have different personalities and wants, Etienne is a Dom, Ray likes to take care of people, and Daniel likes to be sub in the bedroom. Jess takes on the perfect persona for each of them, she is a bratty sub for Etienne, a Domme for Daniel, and someone for Ray to pamper. But what happens when they find out she is not Angel?

The story is emotional, with some angst, laughs, secrets, trust issues, passion, and plenty of steam. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes some Christmas with their romance.

I love reverse harem stories and this one was spectacular and steamy. Jess ends up a lot of steamy things with the three men she was supposed to do a show for. All three men are very different in their personalities and Jess seemed to fit with them all with a little bit of change for each one. I've never read a reverse harem like this where the female acts a little different with each partner but loved seeing the different sides to her. I wish we could learn more about the future of this four-some's relationship since we don't get to see what happens in the future. Hopefully we can get a follow up book with these same characters.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Jess meets Daniel, Etienne and Ray while impersonating Angel at the Christmas party. The men have their own agenda and it seems that Jess will fit right in. She is taking a chance with the deception as she gets to know all of them. Each of the men have certain needs and requirements. She finds herself able to explore what she is wanting and needing. Feelings begin to develop but Jess has to admit her lies. This is a fast paced story where her personality seemed to work well individually with the guys. I thought it was a good story but I am not sure how I felt about them as a group.

Jess decides to impersonate Angel , her best friend, who broke her leg when Daniel phoned Angel to set up a burlesque show at his christmas party at home. She is picked up by limosine and dropped off at his home. Once there, she discovers that there is only three guests and they are all handsome males. They are each unique and appriciate the show that she does. They play games and she soon learns that they are looking for more than a show. This story was tastefully done and I will read more from this author.

Jess takes a job for her friend Hannah (burlesque dancer) when she ends up in the hospital, always wishing she could be more like her. Daniel , Ray and Etienne are best friends, looking for the one woman that can be with them all, until they meet Jess. She is different with each one and fills their needs and they fill hers. The storyline flows wonderfully into situations that highlight each one of them with strength and passion. A touch of tension here and there as they work things out and come to form a great bond. Great ending.

Temporary Angel is a very entertaining reverse harem book by Elizabeth Coldwell. Each of the three men had such different personalities. Etienne is french and a Dom. Ray is laidback but tells it like it is, and Daniel likes to be submissive in the bedroom. Jess is perfect for each of them. She is a bratty sub for Etienne, a Domme for Daniel, and someone for Ray to pamper. It would be interesting to see how their four-way exclusive relationship works out since they all live in different places.

Jess goes to visit her friend Angel, a burlesque dancer. They make plans together, but Angel has an accident and breaks her leg. Just at that moment she receives a call that Jess answers, it's for a gig and Jess accepts.
This is how she meets Daniel, Etienne and Ray. After performing for them, she spends the night with Daniel. But the thing does not end there, since she also has other encounters with the other 2.
So the 3 men propose to be their girl to share and turn all her fantasies into her reality.

This is an entertaining reverse harem book set at Christmas. Jess secretly takes the place of her friend, Angel, who’s broken her leg and ends up “entertaining” three very different men, Etienne, Daniel, and Ray. The interactions between everyone are fun and the book was an enjoyable read. This is the first one of Elizabeth’s books I’ve read and I will absolutely read others.

The great plot was beautifully written, and the characters were so well developed that as I turned each page the chemistry between the characters kept me totally hooked until the very last page!
