The annual peach harvest has started. Bookstore owner, Andrea, finds herself in a mystery after the vandalism of her store. Her beloved psychic parrot, Bob, squawks a possible clue. Andrea feels there might be bigger trouble ahead.
Enter Officer Wes, the new, good looking cop in town. Andrea and Wes must work together to uncover the truth behind a series of puzzling events. With a town full of off the wall characters the task can be difficult.
Wes has the badge, Andrea has the keen intuition and Bob has the insights.
Together, they navigate through the secrets that can ruin the town. But as they close in on the culprit, they realize that the trouble is closer than they think. They must work quickly to solve the mystery before the town is devastated.
I wasn't sure how I'd like this short story however I found it entertaining, funny, and enjoyable. It is a short read but one you can get lost in, I think.
Really enjoyed this book. Andrea is the bookstore owner and she has a parrot who is Psychic, at least that is what her Aunt told her. While she was still home, the parrot told her something about the police being at her bookstore. of course she didn't believe the parrot until her phone rang and it was the police. You need to grab this book so you can walk with Andrea to find out what is really going on. It is really good and the parrot is a laugh. What is really happening solves one case but opens up another and the whole town needs to stick together to help save the town and their festival. Happy reading.
A very short and enjoyable read! It is the time of the peach festival but things are going wrong. One of the orchards seems to have some type of blight. But is it really a blight or was the orchard sabotaged? Andrea with her intuitive Parrot, Bob and Wes the new detective, have to solve a twisted problem that takes you page after page with some of the quirky townspeople involved. This was such a fun read, I really want to see what happens next. I Received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
This book is a novella and a nice introduction to a new series. I enjoyed all the characters and Bob the Psychic Parrot, too. The storyline involves vandalism throughout the town. Andrea and Wes are our main characters, and they make a great team. The plot is intriguing, and it is fun watching Bob help them figure it out. I'll definitely be looking for the next book in the series.
I received this free from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.
What a cute story a bunch of occurrences involving peaches from a accident in a car, a missing man and his abandoned car filled with peaches and graffiti painted on book store windows has the town worried. Peach orchards are what supports the town along with the peach festival and with a new officer in town he needs all the help he can get. This is a short story and can be read in an hour. A physic parrot gives clues to solve the case along with his owner and the officer this was a fun read. I enjoyed this book and I recommend it.
The parrot always knows!! His owner always has to guard her coffee or he steals it! Not good for him!! One day he tells her cops are at her bookstore — and her phone rings and it is a cop who says her bookstore has been vandalized!! And now she has to figure out who would do this!!! This is a great book — really makes you wonder!!! I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All thoughts and comments are my own.
Bob the parrot got it right. It seemed like he was psychic. It was a person who no one suspected. He was trying to sabotage the peach trees to make the owners sell the property to his company. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Bookfunnel. This in no way affects my opinion of this novella.
This was another excellent written book and I love how you get everyone involved right away. It is so interesting to see how Andrea and her Parrot seem to get involved no matter what is going on. There is lot os twist and turns in all of her books. If you love to read a good mystery this will be a good one to read.
That crazy parrot Bob that Andrea had was such a character! Her aunt she got him from believed he was psychic…but maybe he was! He had some cryptic clues but managed to make enough sense that Wes and Andrea could solve the case. Since these Bayview books aren’t listed as part of a series anywhere, this one’s obviously book one since it was published first.
This was a fun little mystery. And it’s obvious that it could never have been solved without the help of a psychic parrot named Bob. This is the perfect book to read on the or take on a plane where you don’t have a lot to do until you get where you’re going. I recommend it because I enjoyed it.
This was highly entertaining and suspenseful. I didn't see all the trickery and deception until it was revealed. The parrot and its love for coffee was humorous and entertaining.
I reviewed this book almost 2 weeks ago and my review seems to have disappeared. As I said in my previous review, I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I didn’t think such a short read would allow for adequate character and setting development, but it really did. Personally, I would have liked a longer read and further development at the end, but I’m not accustomed to such short reads, so that may just be me. Overall, I thought this was very well developed for such a short read.
