The Shy Scarecrow would much rather stay inside than have to scare away crows. At first he is more afraid of the birds than they are of him! When the farmer finds his hat of tin cans and puts it on his head, the Shy Scarecrow prevails and scares away all the crows.

Such a cute book! Childern will love this one because it teaches them how something can be different than what it really is. The scarecrow wasnt scary at all until the owner added a hat to him, then he was doing his job of scaring away the crows.
