Carrington Cove #4

Someday You Learn

Rate this book
“I’m here to see my fiancé. I believe you know Parker, Dad…”

That sentence seems innocent enough in the right setting.

But the woman’s father? Yeah, he happens to be my boss.

The first time I met Cashlynn O’Neil, she thought she was going to die before the plane we were on ever left the ground.

So I did what any gentleman would do—I comforted her, kept her distracted, and then later that night, she ended up back in my hotel room to thank me.

But then a year later she waltzed in the Carrington Cove Animal Hospital and told her father we were engaged.

And that would have been easy to agree to, except the last time I was engaged it left me scarred beyond repair, vowing never to entertain the idea of love again.

But now she’s living with me and inserting her sunshine into my world while working on her new life, yet tormenting me with unplugging appliances and stripping off her workout gear in front of me everywhere I turn.

So if I’m not careful, my dream of taking over the practice when her father retires will be stripped from me as well.

I can’t fall for my boss’s daughter.

Yet I can’t keep lying to myself about how I feel either.

But is it possible that someday you learn that it’s not the wrong person that will make you question what you want in life, but it’s the right one?

And is Cashlynn the right woman for me?

Someday You Learn by Harlow James

2/5🌶️

This is the fourth book in the Carrington Cove series, and I loved it! Parker and Cashlynn have incredible chemistry, and their meet-cute is the cutest thing ever. I found myself laughing out loud at their witty banter and all the fun they get into together. Their story begins on a plane, where they feel an instant connection, leading to a one-night stand. But then Cashlynn leaves abruptly, only to reappear a year later. Turns out she’s Parker’s boss’s daughter and claims that he’s her fiancé!

Cashlynn is a fantastic character! She has a sunny personality, bold and sassy. After losing her mother, she’s been trying to live up to her dad's expectations, but eventually, she decides it’s time to pursue her dreams. I admire her bravery and determination to live without regrets. It’s funny how she gets under Parker's skin and teams up with his sister to win him over.

Parker is a dedicated veterinarian who is married to his job. He tends to be a bit grumpy and likes his routine, especially after a tough breakup that made him swear off relationships. But everything changes when Cashlynn comes back into his life! Watching him fighting his feelings for her is such a fun ride. The tension between them is so electric, and when he finally lets loose?? The Fuck It moment is one of my favorite ever!! I loved how he decided to work on himself when he wanted to seriously pursue Cashlynn and how he supports her dreams, boosting her confidence along the way.

There are plenty of swoon-worthy and adorable moments throughout the book. I loved seeing Cashlynn bond with Parker’s sister and all the girls from previous books. Parker and Cashlynn complement each other perfectly! Cashlynn encourages Parker to open his heart to love again, while his support helps her feel more confident in chasing her dreams. Overall, this book is fantastic, filled with lovable characters, great spice, humor, and a wonderful found family vibe. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

Oh!!!! I loved Parker and Cashlynn’s book so much!
They have a beautiful story about growth and healing. Such a wonderful read, Harlow really knows how to hit you in the feels!

Update:

I knew this story was going be good, but I am always blown away by the heartfelt way Harlow tells a story. The care she gives to each of the characters, the dimensions, relatability and raw, realistic emotions is wonderful. This book had me laughing, smiling, swooning, fanning myself - but also sad for Parker and Cashlynn and what they each went through in their lives. I couldn’t put it down.

I was hooked from the start and just loved their meet-cute. After one night together, they go their separate ways, but a year later Cashlynn shows up (with a plan). Parker is shocked to learn she is his boss’ daughter and has told her dad the two are engaged-which Parker reluctantly agrees to fake with her for the next few months.

I was completely and pleasantly surprised by Parker’s character. He was fantastic and had me giddy. We did not get to see the true Parker in the previous books- he is a little bitter, understandably-and my heart goes out to him. I loved seeing the true nature of his personality and watching all his layers unfold.
After swearing off love and relationships, Parker is fine being married to his work, but meeting Cashlynn changed so much in his mind- he is still wary, but there is just something about her that has him intrigued and wanting to be near her.
I loved Cashlynn, she is smart, determined, hardworking and so much fun! I wanted nothing more than for her to be able to make all her dreams come true!
There was no denying that these two had a strong connection. The comfort and support between them was perfect.

The spicy scenes are fantastic, Harlow outdid herself! It was hot, surprising and captivating! Their chemistry is so great and the added tension makes it so good, but it also has layers of heart and romance making the perfect blend.
I love the back and forth between these two- the way Cashlynn is there to push Parker’s buttons (which he needs), giving a little bit of sass, keeping him on his toes is wonderful. I love when sweet Parker takes over too. He is so protective of her and I couldn’t get enough.

This was a beautiful story about finding the person you are meant to be with and healing on multiple levels. It had wonderful character growth and development and brought all the feels.
Highly recommend!

• One night stand

• Forbidden
• Grumpy/Sunshine
• Hilarious pranks
• Father's employee
• Fuck it moment

This book had me hooked from the start! I have loved this series so much! And Parker and Cashlynn's story was such a wonderful addition. This book had me swooning and laughing so hard out loud. Playful Cashlyn was a HOOT! And I loved the way she followed Parker's sister's advice to get under his skin and really tease him to get his attention. It was absolutely perfect. And so darn CUTE!

Cashlynn was a spitfire. Bold and artsy. Set on living life without regrets. But unfortunately, her father has different expectations on how Cashlynn should live her life. She's determined to prove him wrong, and what better way to do that than to fake an engagement with his favorite employee!

After being burned in a previous relationship, Parker is set in his ways when it comes to the rules he follows in his love life as well as his daily life. I absolutely loved his type A personality! He was stern in the best way 😉 and I loved watching this man give in to the desires he had for Cashlynn! And absolutely solid "FUCK IT" moment on a bench press!! Need I say more? I don't think so!

This is turning into one of my all-time favorite Harlow series! From the sweet relationship to the adorable small-town vibes! Harlow writes some INCREDIBLE MMCs, but nothing beats the way she writes these FMCs. They're feisty and strong. And take NO shit. And completely blossom with the love from these men!

Getting to see Grady, Penn, and Dallas in this book happy with their ladies was such a highlight! I can't wait for the next book in the series! Especially after the teaser Harlow gives us at the end! I already know Hazel's book is going to be fantastic! I loved her character in this book, and I'm really looking forward to seeing her get her HEA.

Dual Narration
Narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder

Not only can Harlow write! But this woman knows how to pick narrators! Perfectly for her characters! Teddy in his performance as Parker could not have been more perfect. The way he brought out Parker's grumpy type A personality was so spot on! And hearing these frustrations Parker felt for Cashlynn was HILARIOUS! Emma played Cashlynn, the adorably playful FMC! She shined with Emma voicing her! For every banter and prank, Emma nailed Cashlynn's response! I love it so much! I can't recommend this audiobook enough! And honestly this whole series!!

Audiobook Review 🎧
Narrated by Teddy Hamilton & Emma Wilder

THIS SERIES!! I’m about to pack up my bags and move to Carrington Cove to find me a Sheppard brother bc what is in the water there??? These brothers (& Grady) are my favorite. The scenes with these men have me in a chokehold. I fear I will never recover after this series is over.

I was anxiously awaiting Parker’s story, and Harlow delivered! Parker and Cashlynn’s story was everything I didn’t know I needed. The way they met had me giggling and kicking my feet immediately!! Then when she shows up and he finds out who she is?? Parker was a goner from the very first moment. And when he stood up to her dad/his boss?? I was a goner. Except for the fact that this man iron his socks… I’d be unplugging all of the appliances too if I were Cashlynn 🤭🤣

But seriously, I loved their growth! They each had so much development, it was so easy to relate to their struggles though. Parker has been through it, and seeing him get his HEA was exactly what I needed 🥰

And the audio?? Yall.. I have nothing but the absolute best things to say about these two narrators. You see their names and you just know you’re going to have a good time! 🫶🏼

Review:
I'm utterly smitten with the charming small town of Carrington Cove, and Harlow James' beautiful storytelling has me longing to escape to this serene haven. "Someday You Learn" is a stunning love story that tackles important topics with sensitivity and finesse. Parker, the protagonist, has a traumatic past, and his journey to healing through therapy is both emotional and inspiring.

The meet-cute between Parker and Cashlynn was unique and captivating, and I fell deeply in love with Parker's caring and nurturing nature. Despite his emotional walls, he's a true romantic at heart. Cashlynn, with her own share of traumas, was the perfect partner for Parker - patient, understanding, and supportive.

What I adore most about this series is the raw, real, and relatable characters. Harlow James has a gift for crafting characters that feel like old friends, making it impossible not to become invested in their stories. With only one more book left in the series, I'm both excited and melancholic.

I highly recommend "Someday You Learn" and the entire Carrington Cove series. While this book can be read as a standalone, the series is truly special, and I encourage you to read them all. A delightful bonus was the sprinkling of Friends references throughout the book - a lovely Easter egg for fans of the show!

Audio Review:
Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder delivered outstanding narration for "Someday You Learn". Both brought the characters to life, conveying emotional depth and complexity.

Initially, it was difficult to adjust to Emma's slightly raspy and high-pitched tone for Cashlynn, but it soon became a non-issue. Teddy, as always, was fantastic as Parker. Together, they created an engaging audio experience that enhanced the story.

ARC and ALC review
Publication date: April 11th

"Someday You Learn" by Harlow James is the 4th book in the "Carrington Cove" series.
This can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading the other books in the series.

Thank you The Author Agency for the ARC and ALC.
Opinions from this review are completely my own.

I was looking forward to Parker and Cashlynn's story and it is so beautiful.

You will enjoy this book if you like:

- small town romance
- fake engagement
- boss's daughter
- close proximity
- grumpy veterinarian
- sunshine artist

It was so nice to go back to Carrington Cove. In the previous books we only got a small part of Parker and he is a more complex character than I expected.
Parker and Cashlynn met on a plane and he helped her with her anxiety during the flight.
They had instant chemistry and spent the hight together.
After a year, she moves to Carrington Cove, where her father has a veterinary clinic. And tells her father that she is engaged to Parker.

I enjoyed a lot reading this book and learning about Parker and Cashlynn's past.
They both have trauma that they still need to work through and have such a beautiful growth together.
Parker's road to healing from the past trauma through therapy was emotional.
I liked that he was supportive of Cashlynn's dreams and he helped her get more confident.

The fact that I also listened to the audiobook helped me imerse in the book.
The story is narrated in dual style by Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder. They both manage to bring the emotional and funny parts of the characters to life. I enjoyed all the books narrated by Teddy and Emma also did a great job as Cashlynn. A good audiobook like this one manages to enhance the story.

Just like in the other books in the series, I like that there is a balance between spice and plot. The relationship develops beautifully, they manage to get to know each other better by living together and things are not rushed.
Also, there are many funny moments, but also emotional ones.

Can't wait to read the next book.

This might just be my favorite Harlow story to date! #swoon

Forget the “might”, this is my favorite Harlow story to date, and if I’m being honest, I’m pretty sure Emma Wilder and Teddy Hamilton helped in making this my favorite Harlow experience to date! Their performance was sooooooo good! I’ve always loved them both in just about anything that they have performed, but this performance felt special to me.

This is one of those stories that grabs you from the beginning. The meet-cute was original and endearing and I think it set the stage for the rest of the story, because the story was an absolute #swoonfest all around! I’ve always loved how Harlow writes ”every day” characters that are easy to relate to with circumstances true to life which makes their stories, our stories. Her stories always have a purpose intricately entwined with the romance journey and it makes her stories powerful and purposeful.

This story had one of the biggest hearts out of all her stories in Carrington Cove and no two people deserved it more. Life is funny sometimes and it put Parker & Cashlynn in each other’s paths at the exact time they needed to be in each other’s paths, and I loved it. That’s one of my favorite things to happen in romance; when an author pulls this off without it coming across as forced or staged. This entire story was swoon worthy from beginning to end and was an absolute delight to have in my ears!

A second chance at love... and a second chance to get to know the one night stand from a year ago.

Yep, when Cashlynn busted back into Parkers life, he already knew her. Well, he knew her if not who she was. And who she was is his boss's daughter. And now... fiancée?

You don't have to have read books 1-3 to follow along with this one. Can totally be read as a stand-alone. But if you have, I think we've gotten a clue to who Parker is. A guy who's going to be single and stay single. He got burned really badly and has no intention of starting a relationship with anyone.

So when they meet again, it's hilarious. The whole book is really. Cashlynn is a little bit of a free spirit. Or at least she's reinvented herself. And Parker is as tightly wound as they come. Which makes for some funny times.

Parker makes a choice in this book that I've not seen too many MMCs make, and I really thought it was so good to be healing.

I can't wait for the romantics book. I love a girl who loves love.

3.5… This started off so strong. I really liked both of the MCs and love that there was an emphasis on the MMC getting into therapy. I also felt like the spice scenes were more authentic and real than the previous 2 books. And the gym scene 🥵

However, the third act break up annoyed me to no ends.

Love after loss

I had been waiting for Parker and Cashlynn since the end of Some imes you Falll. Harlow set that lil bit up so well and it was such a shock!

These two first meet on a plane, where she is terrified to fly and Parker calms her down... and then spend the night together. The best night-then she is out the door...

Parker is a veterinarian, working hard to hopefully take over the practice when Dr.O'Neil is ready to retire.

Imagine Parkers surprise when the woman he can't get out his head shows up, as Dr. O' Neil's daughter and announces she is Parkers fiancée and moving to town.

I was laughing outloud listening to Teddy lose his mind as Parker, while Cashlynn is driving him mad with her antics. All in good fun.😏🤭

Teddy and Emma captured these two characters so well. All the walls Parker has up when it comes to relationships shatter with Cashlynn. Teddy captured the guilt, grief and hardness that left on him and Emma showcased Cashlynns new look on life, her spirit, and wanting her father to be proud of her decisions.

First I am going to say I liked this despite my self. Parker won me over. The fake dating trope is often a little too over the top for me. We are supposed to believe that a grown woman with a seemingly loving father would rather come up with this crazy plan to fake date and live with a stranger for three months to avoid having an adult conversation?

That being said, I don’t read romance because it’s realistic. I love to swoon and escape and I did just that. I particularly enjoyed the prank wars. Parker is adorable. 🥰 Who irons their socks? 🤣He was just so controlled and locked up, Cashlynn was exactly what he needed. I love how she makes him crack.🔥

I was generously given an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

f: Cashlynn
m: Parker
(Dual POVs)

Harlow has gifted us with another heartfelt story and this one involves themes of growth, love, healing and discovering what’s truly important in life. Cashlynn and Parker go on a journey that has each of them learning that there’s more to life than working an unsatisfying job, living to please others, or inflicting solitude on yourself to avoid more emotional wreckage. What made this book even more special for me were the little bits and pieces I was able to see of Harlow that she included (e.g. hummingbirds).

Cashlynn is coming up on her 30th birthday when she realizes her life isn’t fulfilling for her and she doesn’t want to spend another day living to appease other people. She upends her life in order to take a chance on her dreams and ends up turning Parker’s life upside down in the process. I really liked Cashlynn. I found her name to be beautiful and unique. You can’t help but root for and admire the woman who is brave enough to take risks and go after her dreams.

Parker was a veterinarian, wore glasses, and could probably benefit from spending less time ironing. Some might consider him a bit nerdy, but the way he acted, his thoughts, and the way he spoke (especially in the bedroom!!) was anything but nerdy to me. I was not mad to see Parker tear up or cry in certain situations. I didn’t think that portrayed him as weak, but thought that it showed how much he cared as well as how much trauma he was still carrying.

I’m thankful to Harlow, as I’ve read pretty much all of her backlist and she still keeps the steamy scenes unique, different, and spicy. Who would’ve thought a weight bench could be so versatile?!

I can’t not mention the part that previous couples from this series play in this book and the entertainment they add. The women always scheming when they get together; The men’s weekly lunch date; The men figuring out that their women use the same tactics with each of them 😂

I really loved the ending, how things end up working out for Cashlynn and Parker, both as a couple and as individuals. I’m happy they got their HEA, but it was the decisions that were made about their independent goals that was the icing on the cake for me. It didn’t go in the direction that I feel most books do, but I very much appreciated the way it worked out. I thought it added even more depth to the story and these characters’ growth.

Favorite Quotes:
“You’re holding on to your pain like it’s a shield, little brother. But it’s not–it’s a wound. And wounds heal if you let them.” -Penn

I’m left standing there, flabbergasted and rock-hard. Fuck. This woman might be the reason I have myself committed. Or she might be the one who was undoubtedly made for me. -Parker

“love isn’t perfect, and it doesn’t always come easy. It’s about working together to overcome challenges and face obstacles, choosing to keep fighting for each other over and over. Love takes effort, but it’s worth it when you find someone who’s willing to fight just as hard for you.” -Dr. Jensen

I loved every minute of this book.

I 100% and more recommend picking up this book and the audio. THE AUDIO!! Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder did a brilliant job in bringing Parker and Cashlynn to life. I have loved every book so far in the Carrington Cove Series and I keep saying this one is my favorite every time a new book in the series comes out. Someday You Learn has become my favorite. I kid you not, I highlighted to my little hearts content.

Parker, we love a good grump with a heart of gold. My heart went out in the beginning with Parker's past, then to see, what we now know is who he was before he swore off love and marriage, the moment he meets Cashlynn the true Parker begins to show. It had me laughing, swooning and saying this guy. How could you not, when the guy swore off every romantic notion but watches Bridgerton with his younger sister and references F.R.I.E.N.D.S to make the girl he just met relax and laugh. Husband him right up! I loved, Cashlynn smart and funny, she wasn't that far behind with the funny antics and Parker's reaction when they started their fake engagement. I was having a nice laugh at her poking the serious Veterinarian. She may have been driving him crazy but she waited for him to open up to her, she was understanding when he would have those moments when Parker let his walls down. She also had her own things to work out, following her true passion with the support from Parker and the ladies from Carrington Cove (Girl Power right there!). Always a bonus to see past characters and especially when they add to the growth and depth to the characters. (And lets not forget about those geese!)

Harlow James knows how to get you right in the feels with every character, with every story it has that relatability factor that elevates storytelling. This and the other books in the Carrington Cove Series had that from therapy rep to following ones passion and finding love. It gets you excited to see what is next for series and I can't wait to see what happens.

Someday You Learn is amazing and such a great read. I can't recommend this one enough!

Everybody in this series is just finaminal! Parker and Cashlynn (I freaking love, this name) are soooo good together! Their chemistry, the crap that Cashlynn does to Parker. Emma and Teddy!! Ugh, be still my heart!! They freaking nailed it!! Perfection is what these two did. Emma did such a great job voicing Cashlynn, capturing her personality and her emotions, but honestlyshe always does. She captures Cashlyn's vulnerability, her happiness, and sass beautifully, but not just with Cashlynn she does so with all the characters. Emma is amazing! Teddy, this guy! One of my favorite things about his narration is his ability to capture the underlying sarcasm that his characters possess. In every character, he voices. He also brings the depth of the character along with their emotions to the surface. He just does a great job! Period! In case you could not tell, I definitely recommend the audiobook!

Recommendation Note:
I always encourage people to read what makes them happy. If it sounds good, read it! My reviews are just that, my opinions. I do, however, hope they are helpful and provide a little insight in helping you to determine the next book you chose to read.

🌶️🌶️🌶️

Someday You lean is the 4th book in the Carrington Cove series, but you definitely read it as a standalone. Harlow James wrote such a sweet and heartfelt romance while tackling some bigger issues.

Parker met Cashlynn when they were on a flight together, and he helped her through a panic attack. They immediately hit it off and had a one night stand. Little did he know that Cashlynn was actually his bosses daughter. Now a year has passed, and she moves back home to try and go after her real dreams of becoming an artist. Her father is not supportive of this dream, so she pretends that she is engaged to Parker to cover up her true motives in coming home. Parker is annoyed and doesn't want to be in a relationship again after the trauma from his previous relationship, but he can't deny his connection to Cashlynn for long.

Parker starts going to therapy to try and work through his issues once he decides to go all in with Cashlynn. I loved this couple and how supportive they were of each others dreams.

I loved the therapy representation in this book. I really appreciate when a character is going to therapy, and the author actually writes scenes when he is working through issues with his therapist.

This audiobook was dual narrated by Teddy Hamilton & Emma Wilder. Let me tell you, Teddy Hamilton was perfection as Parker. He is so great at humor, and he nailed the dirty talk. Emma Wilder did an amazing job showcasing Cashlynn's sassy and fun personality. I would highly recommend the audio for this.

𝑴𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔:
We're back in Carrington Cove, where geese reign and Parker is more at ease with animals than humans.

Parker is such a complex character. He's one of the veterinarians in town who hopes to own the clinic when his boss retires. He's absolutely not interested in a relationship since he was very hurt in the past but he's more than happy to watch his siblings fall in love.
His first meeting with Cashlynn is so cute, and it turns hot very quickly. After this one night stand, Cashlynn leaves and Parker gets back to his life. But when his boss hurts himself Cashlynn comes back and it turns out she's the boss' daughter. Fast forward and the two of them are fake engaged!

I love the way Harlow James develops the characters. I think they have a lot of depth and it's always a pleasure to get to know them better in each book. While I disagree with some of Cashlynn's decisions, I had a great time with them. Their chemistry is off the charts, I love how Parker tries to fight their connection (with Cashlynn and meddling siblings, it was inevitable) and when he snaps... jaw drop. The spicy scenes are the best in this one!!

Can't wait to go back to Carrington Cove!

I absolutely love my time in Carrington Cove!!

After seeing his brothers Dallas & Penn, and their friend Grady find their forever loves, I was excited to read this one. Parker had a former relationship that ended badly, and for that reason, this sweet, romantic man hides his heart behind a solid wall - throwing his energies into his work as a Veterinarian. There are a lot of things that both characters struggle with in this one, and it's very addictive.

Cashlynn and Parker have a fun meet-cute on a plane, and a steamy connection and a one-night experience, that should have been simple - one and done. Unfortunately, she is very connected to Carrington Cove, and Parker's life. So when she shows up to visit her father, Parker's boss, things get messy! I do understand why she chose to keep her secret from Parker, but for a bit, I was not her biggest fan. (hahaha)
Overall, I enjoyed my time with this couple, and being back with the other characters was fantastic. Hazel is just so fun. I'm glad her book is next. I loved the twists in this one, and their HEA. Reading in order is recommended, for the best experience.
I received a complimentary copy (thank you) and happily leave my review.

Harlow James’s “Someday You Learn” is the fourth book in her Carrington Cove small town romance series, and it’s a fake engagement romance featuring Parker and Cashlynn, who happens to be his boss’s daughter.

Okay, so I really fell in love with Parker and Cashlynn! They had this instantaneous chemistry, and I loved all of their interactions, from beginning to end. They have a truly amazing connection, and that’s part of what makes their relationship so special.

Parker was definitely grumpy, but there are valid reasons for it, and honestly, I think being with Cashlynn brought out the best in him. He’s a caring man with a heart of gold, and I loved how protective he was of Cashlynn.

Cashlynn was such a sweetheart! I loved her bubbly, sunshiney personality, and I thought she was exactly the kind of woman that would be good for Parker - and I was right. I loved how genuinely kindhearted she was as well.

Parker and Cashlynn’s story was so freaking good that I devoured it in less than 24 hours. Harlow James has cemented herself as one of my favorite contemporary romance authors, and I’ll always be a fan of her writing style. I highly recommend!

Another amazing read by Harlow James. This story follows vet Parker and his one night stand/ bosses daughter Cashlynn.

Cashlynn and Parker meet by chance by sitting next to each other on a flight. Cashlynn is terrified of flying and is muttering to herself when Parker goes to take the seat next to her. While his plans for watching Bridgerton go out the window he finds himself, staring into Cashlynn's eyes and trying to help her take her mind off the flight, by playing "Rock, Paper, Scissors" for him to be able to hold her hand.

After a very hot and steamy night together, Cashlynn runs out as soon as they're finished. Now a year later her dad (who happens to be Parker's boss) has a fall and Cashlynn, who already had plans in motion to leave her life behind and move to Parker's small town, ends up telling her dad that her and Parker are engaged and have kept it a secret for the past year.

I really enjoyed this story and how after everything that Parker went through with his ex, he managed to find the strength of facing his demons and expect that he was worthy of Cashlynn's love.

A boss's daughter, one night stand, fake engagement???!! Amazing.

I absolutely adored Cashlynn and Parker. Parker has a history of a relationship ending terribly, and Cashlynn has a smidge of daddy issues. She just wants to make him proud, and her dad just wants her to be great...and sometimes that means he pushes her in the wrong direction.

Everything from the way Cashlynn and Parker met, to the geese babies, to crazy women in parking lots...this book had humour, great development and some great spicy scenes!

I somehow did miss the first 3 books in the series, and while I'll always recommend reading them in order, I didn't feel like I missed out by reading this one first. Carrington Cove is a wonderful place to be, and I hope you pick this up!!

I loved how Parker, a guarded vet with a painful past, and Cashlynn, a woman chasing a fresh start, were thrown back together after a one-night stand. Their fake engagement setup was hilarious and heartwarming, with a lot of chemistry and emotional depth between them. I loved their banter, the slow reveal of their vulnerabilities, and how they helped each other heal. The small-town setting of Carrington Cove, along with the incredible supporting characters, made the story even richer. Harlow James masterfully blends humor, emotion, and spice into a story I couldn’t put down. Parker and Cashlynn’s journey felt real, messy, and beautiful, and I was rooting for them the whole way.

I love a book where we are on the journey, where we see the character growth and are not just told about it. Harlow James delivered this and so much more! Parker is a character with so many layers. He doesn't want a relationship and he is focused on taking over the vet clinic he works at. His reason for not wanting that relationship are not typical. We see him change and work to better himself once he meets Cashlynn. Cashlynn was meant to just be a one night stand until she walks into the vet clinic and introduces him to her dad, Parker's boss, as her finance. I loved this book and the therapy representation.
Teddy Hamilton and Emma Wilder bring raw emotion and chemistry to their characters. I was hooked from the beginning and couldn't stop listening. I highly recommend listening to the audiobook!!

* I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review*
This series by Harlow James is my favorite by her hands down. I love this town, the characters just everything. I couldn't wait for Parker's story and Harlow did amazing telling his story. Parker has been through so much. So much grief he has just held onto for so long. I loved the metal rep in here. I thought Cashlynn was such a fun FMC, Cashlynn was the light to Parker's darkness, even though it started out "fake" they really did complete each other. I am so sad that this series is almost over but i am so excited for Hazel's book!
