Not a Party Pickle 😂

Jace Michael Graham finds himself in a pickle. Meanwhile Zoe Arabella Anderson is trying to forget her last party pickle. What a pair they make. 😂 In all fairness, when they're honest with each other, they really do make a great pair.

What’s wrong with me? Why am I so drawn to the damaged musician? Why do I have this savior complex like I’m going to erase all his pain, and he’s going to shout his never-ending love for me, and then write sweet songs about growing old together and watching our family expand.

After years of tormenting themselves and avoiding each other, they end up pretending to be a couple. It's an interesting setup with heated consequences. 😉🔥 Up against a 🌳 might be my favorite of their... adventures.

Zoe's big heart gets in the way a couple of times allowing her to be duped by someone close to her. It's sad that the person goes to such lengths. I do love how it backfires.

As I carry her to the sofa, she lays her head on my chest. “I changed my mind. I’ll be your dirty secret any day.”

No honey. You’ll be my dirty, filthy wife when I’m done with you.

Jace is cute and a bit dominant. Oh, and very dirty. A great blend! Working for Victor and Everleigh, who make several appearances throughout, seems to be working in his favor is all I'll say.

Their Second Chance at a Forever -
Zoe had been crushing on Jace for years, but after talking to him all night when she was eighteen, he did something that made her detest him for years. However, the tension between them never dissipated, which led to an awkward relationship during a family trip. Even though Jace was in love Zoe, the threat laid against him t9 stay away from Zoe, made spiral out of control for a while, but his family and close friends helped him get back on track.

Spending time together on the family trip led to them resolving the silent war between them and led to them embarking on a secret relationship. However, not everyone was happy with their union and tried to destroy their budding romance with deception, which created friction between them. Fortunately, Zoe accidentally discovered the truth and did everything within her power to set records straight, so they could get back on track towards the life they were deprived of years prior.

This story had some unpredictable emotional moments that had me on the edge of me seat, as I read the unfolding tale filled with both loving and detestable characters, a heartfelt storyline filled with passion, desire, and pain; and most importantly was that they got to have a happily ever after.

This book was sinfully delicious. I loved Jace and Zoe and I loved being on this adventure with them. Jace is Zoe’s step uncle and she has had a huge crush on him for a few years and the attraction was mutual although Jace never acted on it because Zoe’s father threatened Jace to stay away from his daughter. When they are thrust together on an island resort they both give in to their attraction and begin a beautiful romance but it all unravels when Zoe’s father shows up and once again threatens Jace and our lovers are town apart. Great to see that Zoe’s family help reunite them and they can continue their life together. The anguish I felt as they both were suffering was real and that is a testament to Alexia Chase and her writing. I loved everything about this book and hope to read more in this series.

You will love Zoe and Jace even when they are dancing around each other. Their story will mesmerize you and hold you captive until the very end.

I love how Jace finds his inner strength through his music and heals some very deep and painful wounds. Zoe needs a little more confidence in her self especially as she listens to someone who should have her best interests at heart. It is poetic justice to see how Zoe rises above the ashes of a broken heart to fully realize what has been right in front her the whole time.

This is a beautiful story that leaves feeling good and comforted in knowing that true love does conquer all.

This is an absolutely amazing forbidden romance. Zoe and Jace met when she was 15 when her mom and his brother got together and eventually married. From the time that Zoe turned 18 Jace fought his feelings for her. Their story is smoking hot while also giving you many fun and sweet moments. Zoe’s father is against Jace and Zoe ever becoming a couple and has caused a lot of drama and heartache for them. Their story will take you on a crazy ride to find their happily ever after. Once you start reading you won’t want to put the book down.

Taboo- well almost taboo. Zoe’s mom marries Jace’s brother when she is 15 and he’s 23 so they don’t grow up together and aren’t raised together in the same house. The feelings they share don’t develop instantly but years down the road. The push and pull between these two and the outside forces that act on their relationship is just delicious. The lengths Zoe will go to, to do something for Jace and the words of love he has for her make my heart grow.

I loved Her Filthy Mistake A Sinfully Forbidden Series. Jace is the first to admit he’s not good enough for Zoe. He’s had serious issues in the past but he’s cleaned up his act. He stays away from her because if her father but maybe it’s time to do what he wants. Zoe has stayed away fri Jace after he was cruel and pushed her away. She doesn’t know his reasons and he’s not sure she would believe him. It seems they will finally get their HEA until her father interferes again. Jace walks away again and is convinced he’s lost her for good. Will Zoe finally realize who the bad guy is? I loved the storyline and the characters. They have amazing chemistry and Jace has overcome so much. I would definitely recommend this book.

A Sinfully Forbidden Series #2

Zoe Anderson has had a crush on Jace Graham since she was 18. Jace is 8 years older than her and he's her step-dad's younger brother. Jace has made it clear that he doesn't return those feelings.

Jace, a singer/songwriter, had been in a band, strung out on booze and drugs hoping to get a contract but that never came along. Now he's head of hotel security in Vegas, clean and has given up on his music.

A couple years have passed, Zoe is 22 has graduated from college and is working in her dad's record label scouting new talent.

Zoe is on her way to a family vacation in the Caribbean with her older brother, younger sister, her mom and step-dad and Jace. Turns out this is a marriage boot camp and her mom has paired her and Jace together.
The chemistry is still there and it's clear they both still care about each other but all is not what it seems.

This was such a good book. Once I started, I could not put it down. There was strong forbidden chemistry and passion. I loved jace and Zoe and their story. I really did not like her dad and was so happy to see that he gets what he deserves. This is a definite must-read. You won't be disappointed.

While I don’t think the title fits I loved this book. After 4 years if angsty pining and avoiding each other Zoe and Jace are forced together on a family trip. It’s a a spicy romance with heat and fun relationships. Well most of them. The journey this couple takes and step uncle and niece is a twisted one with so serious heart break but it’s all worth it.

Wow…Just WOW completely blown away by this book. Alexia Chase has done it again. If you have read Her Filthy Professor this one is just as good. I could not put this book down until it was done. The family drama, manipulation, self hate, substance abuse, broken dreams, forbidden lust, soul crushing, gut churning betrayal. Phenomenal book Alexia.

The Filthy series is very well written. We are dragged into the difficulty side of life in this story revolving around the the family holiday.
There relationship between the two main characters is and has been strained. Things have interfered causing misunderstanding for two years.
Zoe, 22, works for her father as a talent spotter within his media, music empire. She made a light pass at Jace and was rebuked. She has had a crush on him since she was 15. Jace, 30, has secretly been enamoured with her but has been warned off. He is now clean having done a stint in rehab. Having embraced the drink, drugs and sex offered, his dreams of becoming famous as a singer with his band have faded.
It is a complicated inter family relationship as her mother is married to Jace's half brother..a stepfather's, stepbrother's, stepdaughter. Working for a man who could provide opportunity for Jace should he choose to. Neither side is without influence or money but it all depends on how it is used.
A family vacation brings things into play as this couple attempt to be natural around each other, whilst trying to avoid each other. The drama begins to unfold and highlights the underhand manipulation, threats, string pulling, behind the scenes.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in the Sinfully Forbidden series. In this book, Zoe is going on vacation with her family to a resort. Zoe is sharing a villa with her brother, but learns her step uncle Jace is going to be staying with them also. Zoe has been in love with Jace for years, but he sees her as a child. Jace is a former musician and is recovering from substance abuse while he was playing music. Jace is now sober and is head of security at a club. When Zoe's brother leaves to return home for work, Zoe and Jace are left together at the villa. Jace is also in love with Zoe, but her father warned him to stay away from her. Her father owns a record label and Zoe works for him. Zoe's father told Jace he would ruin Zoe's life and career if he tried to be with her, so Jace stayed away to protect Zoe. Now they are forced together and soon they both realize they want to be together, but they also worry about what the family will say and Jace is still worried about Zoe's father. i loved this book. i loved the chemistry between Zoe and Jace. I think they really did love each other. I think Zoe believed in Jace and wanted him to achieve his dreams. Another great one from Alexia

A great romance novel 5*
This is a well-written page-turner about Zoe and Jace and their ability to navigate their rather complicated family dynamics. The protagonists have known each other for years. She’s been in love with Jace, the brother of Zoe’s stepfather, who humiliated and rejected her years ago. Her own father, a big music producer is a manipulative bully and is almost paranoid about Jace not using Zoe to further his musical aspirations. During a family Christmas celebration organised by Zoe’s mother, the entire family is thrown together for well over a week so there is no escaping each other. There is steamy reconciliation for our protagonists but after Zoe’s father arrives, he stops at nothing, even at illegal criminal activities, which are no obstacles to ruining Jace. The novel is an interesting slowly-developing romantic, action-packed storyline with good character description, scene-appropriate dialogue and good use of the language and vocabulary to support the novel. There is a well-deserved HEA and I’m happy to recommend this novel.

I absolutely loved reading this story and learning about the characters and how they developed through the story. Zoe and Jace, related by marriage only, and Jase is Zoe‘s step uncle, when Zoe‘s mother and stepfather, invite them to a tropical island, she learns that Jase is to share her suite with her brother and her. How is she going to hide her attraction to her step, uncle? Jase has been in love with Zoe since she was 18, and has had to hide his feelings for her because of her father. When things developed between them and her father finds out, he black males Jace into giving her up, and when they are both down in the dumps, discovers the truth, and sits out to sort things out between them. There are some ups and downs, but lots of spicy moments between this couple, and eventually they end up having their happily ever after with a baby on the way.

Wonderful story.
Really liked Zoe & Jace's will they won't they love story I almost read it in one go. Jace was Zoe's stepfathers brother & had always been friends until 2yrs ago when at a family party Zoe kissed him on the cheek what he said made her hate him for years.
Unfortunately a family holiday it became awkward but as time went on they started to realise that there was chemistry that they couldn't deny anymore & gave into the feelings that they secretly had for each other for years.
They were keeping their relationship secret but not everyone was going to be happy about it & set out to destroy anything between them no matter what the cost.
There's secrets, steam, unpredictable, betrayal, pain, love & getting the happy ever after that they both deserved.

I definitely recommend this book but have a tissue on hand.

Every young girl has a crush on a Rockstar and Jace was Zoe's. Except their entanglement has always been something more. First Zoe's mom is Married to Jace's half-brother. Making Jace, Zoe's step-uncle. So really no relation at all but it still sounds sort of weird and forbidden.
Then there's the fact that Jace is talented, and Zoe's dad of course works in the music industry. So of course when he notices this older young man paying attention to his young daughter he puts an end to ASAP.
And so begins their feud, they spend two plus years thinking they despise each other and doing everything possible to avoid each other.
Little do either of them know that some of their family is invested in finding both of them the things they deserve to be happy.
This second chance romance is filled with so many great and even unpredictable moments I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Enjoyable second-chance romance. I really liked both the main characters in this story; feisty Zoe is independent and stands her own against ex-rockstar (and her step dad’s brother) Jace. I enjoyed the verbal sparring between the two as they are thrown together on a trip to a luxury resort. Jace has pushed Zoe away in the past and she lets him know in no uncertain terms that she doesn’t forgive him for it; cue the shenanigans as the two try to resist the sizzling chemistry between them! A really good romantic romp as they have to overcome sabotage to their relationship (from an unexpected source) as well as temptation deliberately placed in Jace’s way as he fights previous substance abuse. A good read set against the background of the music industry.

A sinfully delicious age gap (8 yrs) story that gripped me from the first page. Zoe had a crush on her stepfathers brother for years not realising he’s lusted after her too but was warned to keep away from her so when at the age of 18 she kissed him, he embarrassingly rejected her. Now they see each other again, their lives changed considerably , she is successfully working for her fathers company but Jaces life spiralled,after a career change he is in control again they are thrown together, will they give in to temptation? Will family keep them apart? An amazingly steamy and powerful read dealing with issues in a delicate manner and I just consumed it all. Great MCs, written from both povs. Fantastic book.

Zoe and Jace are both likeable characters when we meet them with a murky family connection and a history of having a hot and cold relationship. Ms. Chase writes that tension into their unavoidable meeting at a family holiday with their awkward interactions and them dancing around their undisclosed mutual attraction brilliantly.
The awkwardness continues until they give into that attraction and then the steam Ms. Chase creates between these two is scorching hot!
We get plenty of drama from Zoe’s father and a major incident instigated by him that breaks them up. When they do eventually come back together, the result is a sweet romance, hot, but sweet.
There are plenty of engaging characters, and a great storyline to keep this interesting and an enjoyable read.

This book is full of angst and drama! So much happens between Zoe and Jace. They’re family by marriage but did not grow up together and have intense feelings for each other. Sometimes good ones and sometimes not. Jace has an amazing voice and tried to make it big, Zoe loves his music so much, but her dad definitely does not. He’s in the music biz and thinks Jace is using Zoe to get a big music deal. There is high drama in this book, emotions swinging one way then the other. It was crazy! But the overall love and sacrifice throughout is really great. This book is also hilarious at points and I was cracking up. I received an ARC and am leaving my review of this great book.

It was beautiful. I loved a happy ending where you knew that everything the MCs had wished for was now in their arms.

So many times, I told the FMC in my mind, "If you only knew," and I watched/read about the MMC pining after his woman. There were times that he was pathetic, good thing the FMC believed in him. But those were the sentimental parts. It was quite fun reading about these two reconnecting with the help of her mother and his brother. Oh, boy! But our story wouldn't be complete without a villain, who should not have been the villain. Well, he had it coming!

I loved the happy ending and the epilogue.

Zoe has had feelings for her stepfather’s brother for a few years and not only has she given up hope that he will ever feel the same but the interactions between them are strained. Their relationship is about to be put to the test when they become roommates on a trip to the Caribbean.

Jace has been hiding his feelings from Zoe as there are so many reasons why they should not be together including the past he regrets. Spending time with Zoe only makes the feelings he has for her that much stronger but that means dealing with everything and everyone standing between them.

A little drama, some angst and a love that was always meant to be even if not everyone agrees.

A wonderful, hot, tortured love story with so much heat. Zoe is a bright young thing who has only ever loved one person and to have believed that he saw her as a child. Whilst Jace is a tough, tortured soul who, having hit rock bottom, turns himself around. A truly, thoroughly enjoyable story and fabulous series.
