DNF @ 56%. I struggled in book 1 with none of the characters feeling fleshed out and the dialogue and relationships progressing in a stilted/unnatural/superficial way. I was having a lot of the same problems with this one though I was holding on bc Mychal. But I looked up spoilers and fuck that. I’ll just go reread her other series which I loved
