Title: Devil's Affair
Author: E.N.Chanting
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This short story was absolutely the best thing I have had the opportunity to read. It is a suspense/Thriller, and very fast pace. It starts out strong with Katerina aka Kat helping her mother find out about her stepfather's multiple affairs. She then helped her mother start the divorce proceeding cause she was scared of him, they just didn't know the extent of how bad the stepfather past with his other now deceased wives. Things continue then this is when a detective named linc comes in and the story starts to take a wild turn. I will say this just when I thought I had things figured out a curve ball was thrown my way. I was shocked that Kat's mother became one of the stepfather's victims but it led Kat to her forever person. This was an amazing short story and I look forward to reading more from E. N. Chanting in the future.

Too rushed and underdeveloped.

With a bit more background, it could’ve been a sweet story, but instead it just comes off as kind of creepy.

The texts and conversations between the main characters felt so random—I kept rolling my eyes.

I mean… she’s going through a really hard time, and what he says is "Don’t be mad, the note on my windshield is from an ex-girlfriend do you want to go on a date with me??" WTF?

The Devil’s Affair by EN Chanting was a very fun and fast read for me.

I could read this again without any issues and honestly as short as it is I will probably pick it back up in a year or two as the memory of it starts to fade.

I love the story line being a thriller but my favorite part is how EN mixes in the romance.

Even though this one isn’t very spicy it still very hot. Very few women don’t dream about a hot detective. I love how her description of each character is bet realistic compared to the standard dream of each gender.

Having all these factors together is what really makes the story 5 stars for me. That am I am a thriller junkie and I feel like this could easily be an episode to a show.

I hope she will continue to produce some amazing stories just like this one.

The Devil’s Affair - E. N. Chanting

I really enjoy thrillers, especially ones with serial killers or murder mysteries. And I really liked the family aspect of Kat wanting to help out her mom and later helping out with the murder and getting justice. Kat and Linc had a great chemistry and I would definitely love to read either a longer novel with these two or just more thrillers written by this author. The writing is just phenomenal.

This is a super fast pace short story. I thought it was going to be 1 thing; and it turned out a different way. I was captured from the beginning to find out what was going to happen next. This read was not a disappointment for me. I look forward to get into more work from th author.

Based on reading some other work by this author, I thought I knew how this story would go... and it did not go as expected, but in a really good way! I enjoy being surprised, and this book nails it!
