I'm Late.

I'm late for a very important date.
Except, I've been dreading this for a long time now, meeting the Red King. A heartless murderer who killed his own parents. Not only that, but when we arrive in the Red Kingdom there's talks of me being crowned the Red Queen?!

Danger lurks around every corner, wishing for my blood to drop onto Wonderland's soil and for my head to roll. The only distraction that keeps me going, that gives me any reason to befriend the Red King and get his alliance is a certain man with cat ears and a tail.

Cyan eyes and an ear-to-ear grin haunt me. My obsession with him grows and I won't stop until he's mine.

Wild Aces is Book 2 in The Blood of Wonderland Series and should not be read before 'Lost in Wonder,' Book One. This book contains mature scenes, explicit language, gore, mentions of murder, PTSD, flashbacks, evil kings, monsters and a lot of hot Wonderland-ian men. Including one with gorgeous blue eyes and a thrill for mischief.

This book is also a reverse harem whereby the female main character is shared by four men. Each book covers a different lover while also starting to explore the remaining ones and carrying on ones from previous books.

I thought I loved book 1 but after reading this one book 1 is just a warm up. In short, I am obsessed with this series and need the rest of it asap especially after that cliffhanger!

I’ll start with the plot. I loved seeing how the plot points from the first book carried over to this one seamlessly and sets us up even more to the final battle which I’m guessing will probably be in the future books. I also loved seeing the relationships develop between Alice, Tarik, and Chesh. But I also love the new relationship with the Red King, Thorne. Now all I need is an advance on the lovers part between Alice and Twitch.

Onto the characters:
Alice: I love her. I love the banter she has with Tarik and Chesh. But I also love how she is not afraid to hold her own against Thorne. I also find it fascinating how she’s beginning to forget her former life and is succumbing to Wonderland.
Chesh: My love. I loved him in the first book and he was just even cheekier in this one. But besides from that we got to see more of his serious/caring side in this book and I just fell in love with him even more. My favourite parts are when he snuggles into Alice whenever he’s scared/upset.
Tarik: He’s just the sweet loving one for Alice and I love their connection
Thorne: I need more books to decide how I feel about him. I mixed feelings sometimes I like him, other times I hate him…I think I’ll end up loving him though
Twitch: I need more of him. So far all we have is hatred between him and Alice and I just need him to admit that he actually likes her because that much is obvious

Overall, if you loved Lost In Wonder you will love this book even more (I didn’t even think that was possible). I need the next book ASAP bc that cliffhanger was not fair…I need to know what happens next!

This book was incredible!

Mel Richards takes you on this wondrous, fantastical journey to a land where nothing is impossible.

The characters were so loveable and the fact that it’s a why-choose is perfect, because I couldn’t pick a favourite even if I tried. She gives you a sweet Mad Hatter, flirtatious Cheshire Cat, grumpy Rabbit, and mysterious King. I wouldn’t mind being Their Alice.

The writing in this book was much better than the previous and the plot has become much more engaging. The spice is dark.

I’ve been so hooked to this book I binge read the entire book in one day. For a indie author the progression of the story line is something I’d expect from a main stream author(keep it up MEL!!!)
