Karen's latest full-length novel, What Lies Within, has been nominated as the Best Inspirational Novel of the Year. Readers regularly call Karen's writing powerful, uplifting, and fun. She writes from her home in Oregon, where she lives with her husband, Don, and their two "kids": Dasha, a mischievous 4-month-old Siberian husky, and Dakota, an Aussie-Terrier mix that should have been named Psycho.

Next to working with words, Karen's greatest joys are playing with her dogs, laughing, savoring nature and wildlife, and finding wonder in everyday life.

Reunion, by Karen Ball, is a sweet romance that engaged my nature-loving mind as well as my faith-loving heart. Taylor and Conner are both likable and intriguing characters who are well-matched in their interests and strengths; however, their weaknesses create a chasm between them right from the start. As a reader I wanted to see them together, and yet I knew they both needed to grow and overcome their biggest flaws first. I enjoyed learning about wolves and gaining an understanding of the reasons behind the misconceptions many people have about them. If you’re a nature lover, you’ll love this novel. The bonus part of this read was the cozy family relationships within the pages; if you value family, you’ll love this book too. Reunion is a gentle read with just enough suspense to keep you turning the pages—enjoyable.

If you want clean Christian romance with an environmental leaning to protect wolves, this tale might be for you. Complete with themes of forgiveness in the face of grief, isolation in the loss of a loved one, a small love triangle and a wee bit of suspense, the tale is sugary sweet like a crispy creme donut.

Light steam, no language and a strong tug at the heartstrings when encountering pure deserved hatred leads to a complacent ending where the ends are hastily knotted to a predictable end. Yet the introduction of a mental disintegration angle to conduct a twist leaves a question in the happy ever after that wasn't necessary.

This is first time I’ve read one of Karen Ball’s books and thoroughly the story. It was an interesting Christian romance that takes place in Wyoming. The premise is based on reintroducing wolves back into Wyoming.

I have absolutely no idea why I loved this book so much in the past. In fact, I barely remember the book. That alone is not a good sign. This book follows every trope of a Christian Romance. The protagonists are heart-stopping gorgeous. They both love God. A small problem crops up that they have to deal with. They instantly fall in love. All patently ridiculous. I had to hold back all the gagging noises I wanted to make. Good thing this book did not take long to read.

Obviously, this book did not survive round two of the purge of my personal collection.

I like these Christian ficiton series (Palisades Pure Romance). I haven't read one in a while. This was good, the main character had to learn to trust others and open herself up again. I loved the scene where she dealt with the teenager she blamed for her husband's death. Her ability to forgive was awesome.

This book is a quick read on learning to forgive and trust people, as well as learning to trust in the Lord. I didn't feel very connected to the characters or the story.
