Basically good military thriller however the naval part was dreadful. No emphasis was put on military sea lift of forces from CONUS to Japan and South Korea. Author only mentions amphibious ships and it seems to an unknowledgable reader that they actually did the job od transporting the thousands of military vehicles and thousands of tons of supplies. Wrong. Amphibious ships are used for assault on defended shore, not transportation of equipment and supplies overseas. That falls to sealift command and merchant marine ships and crews. Good example of that is Desert Storn. Over 200 cargo ships - roros, container ships, dry cargo vessels and freighters were used to carry thousands of tons of goods, supplies and vehicles. They came from Military Sea Lift Command, US Merchant Marine and all allied countries merchant navies. The author makes no mention of that. Pity because it is a good occasion to highlight the problems which the US Merchant Marine is now facing.

Not a book as such, seems more a training manual. Didn’t enjoy at all.

Enjoyable read. Fast paced, plausible and with good detail and story telling. As with his other books, worth the time.

Well written account of a second Korean war.

I would have thought small, armed aerial, naval and ground drones would have played a bigger part on all sides.

My review

My 1st read in a new series. Interesting take on an interesting alternate history. Next book should be an eye opener as well.
