A steamy, twisted dark romance filled with spice and hotness!

MILA

My father always says I’m too fat to be desirable.
His solution? Marry me off to the enemy…
But instead of falling for my fiancé, I discover my attraction to Aleksei Valkov.
I’m supposed to marry his cousin, but I can’t ignore my feelings for dangerous, stubborn and seductive Aleksei.
But when my past threatens our happy ending, I quickly realize more than just my marriage is at stake.
It’s my life, too.

ALEKSEI

I was never meant to get so obsessed with my cousin’s bride-to-be.
But she’s a threat, and I have no other option than to kidnap her to keep my Bratva safe.
Except Mila Kastava clearly isn’t the enemy here.
Her family is.
So would it really be so bad if I let temptation in with the gorgeous, curvy bombshell who I can trick into giving me her V-card?
I don’t think I can resist a little off-limits treat like Mila.

STOLEN BY THE BRATVA is a full-length, standalone spicy mafia romance. One-click for an older billionaire hero, and a curvy virgin heroine! Kidnapping included for your pleasure ;)

This started of pretty good and I think it was promising. The whole she is promised to his cousin vibe was thrilling and I was there for an enemies to lovers plot. BUT after he kidnapped her everything goes downwards. He instantly kisses and fingers her which was way too early and there was no tension at all. She is a virgin and still he nearly fucks her after just one day (and they didn’t even talk!). Wtf. Way too quick and with too less relationship building. This is so sad cause the storyline was interesting and promising but I can‘t stand man who only think about sex and stuff like that.

Quickie review: 3.25 stars. This was not a bad read and was entertaining. The writing style was not my favorite and the book felt too short with an abrupt ending. It is darker than I prefer to read as well. I never quite got the love feeling between the couple. I probably would not read more from this series.

I am not ashamed to say I kept reading for the smut.
First chapter was meh, second was “what the f***” and so on…
Basically some chapters were truly good and other were boring as hell!!
Their inner monologue about their feelings 🥱 then they would talk together about their feelings, then another inner monologue about same feelings following their conversation…🥱🥱
Otherwise it’s rather action packed but couldn’t get into it and can’t really explains why! I skip a lot and couldn’t bother to know the end.

Their banter was not epic, the writing style was rather simple but efficient.
You have everything you need in a mafia book:
✅enemies to lovers
✅ V heroine
✅ arranged mafia
✅ kidnapping

Curvy heroine
🌶️🌶️🌶️
No OW drama, no cheating
TW: SA on the MFC but not by the MMC
So yes I understand why some people will like it but if you have read lots of mafia books it might feel “deja vu”

The start to The Valkov Bratva series get comfortable, hang on and you might want to make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way! Mia is sweet with a little spice, feisty determined to hold her own against all odds. despite growing up with a father who felt like she was too fat for any man to want her so he decides to marry her off to their enemy the bratva but she can’t see herself with the man she is supposed to marry no matter how she tried but the moment she meets his cousin the magnetic pull between them can’t be ignored but she isn’t suppose to feel anything for her fiancé’s cousin. Aleksei sexy as all get out cousin of the soon to be groom, he is dangerous, ruthless on a good day, deadly every day, he never meant to be obsessed with the bride to be but he feels like she is a threat and leaving him with no other option than to kidnap her to keep his bratva safe but it was also the worst idea because the curvy temptation is going to be the death of him but also learns that it isn’t her he should fear but her father. But when her past comes for her not only is her marriage at stake more importantly her life will her new family protect her, is her father behind the threat, will she marry the man she is meant to marry or marry the man her heart belongs to her, how will his cousin feel about it all, will he fight to keep her, and through all the darkness will they find happiness together?

DNF’d at 60% I could not take it anymore. My eyes were physically bleeding from reading this. I got to say that everything started off great, the premise of the forbidden romance since she was arranged to marry the male leads cousin was interesting. And also the fact that he shoots out the wedding to steal her so she doesn’t marry the cousin.

But that’s about it, the writing was so bad, like astronomically bad. The female leads was so naive and ignorant, so much so that she ignores a friend? Or fellow family woman as she is being gang banged raped by HER FATHER AND HIS FRIENDS. The FMC knowingly ignores it as she knows it’s happening. Never offering a semblance of help.

And the fact that the MMC just sees her as a tool and basically rapes her to and takes her V-card and then declaring that she will marry him was just not it either

Stolen by the Bratva is book one of The Valkov Bratva. Stolen by the Bratva is the tale of Mila and Aleksei.

Stolen by the Bratva Details:
Mila's father always says she's too fat to be desirable, his solution? Marry her off to the enemy... But instead of falling for her fiancé, she discovers her attraction to Aleksei Valkov. She's supposed to marry his cousin, but she can't ignore her feelings for dangerous, stubborn, and seductive Aleksei. But when her past threatens their happy ending, she quickly realize more than just her marriage is at stake, it's her life, too.

Aleksei was never meant to get so obsessed with his cousin's bride-to-be. But she's a threat, and he has no other option than to kidnap her to keep his Bratva safe. Except Mila Kastava clearly isn't the enemy here, her family is. So would it really be so bad if he left temptation in with the gorgeous, curvy bombshell who he can trick into giving him her V-card? He doesn't think he can resister a little off-limits treat like Mila.

Review:
Stolen by the Bratva grabs ahold of the reader and keeps moving quickly. Once Mila and Alek get together, it takes off. There are a few scenes that make the reader not too happy, but the characters make it up quickly. The action is true to life and the character are multi-dimensional. The reader feels the connection between the two main characters and the appropriate feelings to the side characters. This book has everything I would expect from a good mafia romance. An alpha male broody hero who takes one glance at the heroine and thinks "MINE". The heroine is brave, feisty and determined to hold her own against all odds. Combustible chemistry leads to some very steamy moments between Alek and Mila, even before they trust each other or discover just what they would do to keep the other in their life. Their story is dark, dangerous, very steamy and absolutely enthralling. If those are elements that you love in books you read, then this book book has my highest recommendation for you to read. I'm looking forward to reading more books from this series. Absolutely amazing!.

I don't know what I was expecting but this just nailed in the coffin that I really do not enjoy mafia romances. I have tried and tried but no, I just do not like them and this was no different.

I thought it was overly corny, instant love and incredibly abusive towards women. Now I know, this is the content and the trope, so what the heck was I expecting. But that is the point, this review is based on my enjoyment of the novel and how I felt about the novel and how I feel about the content is based on my preferences.

So honestly, I have no idea how to review it because I am having a hard time setting aside my feelings about the disgusting men who think women are property to be used and abused and have not an ounce of bloody respect for another human being - but based on the writing, well, it was painful, there is talent there but ughhhh and it ended so abruptly that I thought it must be part of a trilogy (with the same characters) - spoiler, it isn't. Just a continuation of other characters. I don't know how I made it to the end of this, but I did and honestly it wasn't worth it.

But in saying that, if this kind of romance is your jam and bread. Give it a shot, it might delight you more than it could ever delight me. Because frankly, I just feel rage. But congrats to the author, she did write a story that sent me into feelings of rage, so she definitely does have talent.

This is book 1 of 1 in The Volkov Bratva series. It is a standalone, no cliffhanger.
First, I LOVED this book❤️❤️! Has everything for an awesome read!
Mila Kastava is our MFC. She is an innocent, twenty two year old, gorgeous bombshell! Although her father continuously tears her self esteem down.
Her father, Sergei Kastava (Bratva leader) is forcing her to marry for an alliance, to a cruel and evil man, Andrey Valkov. The son of Pavel, the Bratva Pakhan. Supposedly to strengthen their numbers. But all is not what it seems.
The men of both family’s allow and do horrible things to the women in their lives.
Aleksei (Alek) Valkov is our big, muscled and handsome MMC. A high ranking soldier in the Volkov Bratva. Who is going to change things. Especially when he finds out a secret of his father and uncle.
When Alek and Mila meets, sparks fly. Mutual attraction like they have not felt before flows between them.
Alek has plans and bringing Mila along with him.
A dark mafia romance filled with spice, mafia life, protective and possessive MMC, Sabatoge, lies, murder, duel POV, no cheating, happy endings and more!
Is a standalone with no cliffhanger. Had everything for an awesome story. 👍🏻🥰.

This is a complex story about family and betrayal within the Bravata. Alek and Mila are from rival families. She is a pawn in her father’s plan to destroy Alex family. There are some surprises for both Mila and Alex as they form an alliance to stop her father and his uncle from ruining their lives. This has violence and mistreatment of women as they are viewed as a tool to be used as the men see fit. Mika doesn’t want that for herself. She wants a partner who will protect her and love her . Other men had used her including her father but Alek had protected her. He kept for from marriage of his cousin Aundrey who had attempted to rape her twice, he protected her with his body when she was shot at by Other men including Aundrey, he married her after he took her virginity by consent and he listened to her. He even took the blame when she killed Aundrey to save his life so she would not be a target by his uncle. This is a powerful story of love and family commitment in the Bravata and their marriage. I would give it more than 5 stars if possible. The author brought all the characters to life and made this story feel realistic and full of emotions.

Mila and Alek

Mila is passive and too accepting of her place in life. She thinks she’s fat, she knows she’ll be married off to somebody, and she accepts that whoever it is will abuse her and pass her around. Her attitude is almost ho-him. So when she sees and knows that another woman is being SA by her father and other men, she puts on headphones so she doesn’t have to hear the screaming. Then she shows very little emotion with the after care. I wanted to scream at Mila at this point. I also didn’t like that we’re just left knowing that this woman’s life will continue to be this way. If this is your trigger, well it happens in the beginning of the book.

Alek uses his size and power to intimidate Mila when he first meets her. After he stops her wedding and kidnaps her, he really only thinks of her in terms that would benefit him, like what she brings to the table and how he could use her to get rid of his uncle the pakhan. Mila has to prove her loyalty more than once. I didn’t feel any warmth in the way he thinks of Mila. They didn’t seem to have any chemistry beyond the physical.

There’s no 3rd act breakup, and the plot is a little loose. No epilogue, it just ends rather abruptly.

Alek is the nephew of the current head of the bratva and eldest brother. From the opening line, you know he's the real force and brains. His uncle decides to unite with another bratva. Alek doesn't agree and decides to do something about it.

Mila is the first-born daughter of a horrible man. He arranges the Mila's marriage but she's only aware of it three days before. Her family is horrible, and she's made to feel like an ugly duckling.

The arc grabs ahold of the reader and keeps moving quickly. Once Mila and Alek get together, it takes off. There are a few scenes that make the reader not too happy, but the characters make it up quickly. The action is true to life and the characters are multi-dimensional. The reader feels the connection between the two main characters and the appropriate feelings to the side characters. Looking forward to the books of Alek's brothers.

This is a high overview mainly because I don't want to give anything away. I rarely rate anything a five. This story is definitely worth the read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book has everything I would expect from a good mafia romance. An alpha male broody hero who takes one glance at the heroine and thinks “MINE”. The heroine is brave, feisty and determined to hold her own against all odds. She has been sheltered most of her life and raised to be a submissive daughter and wife to a man not of her choosing. Submissive is definitely not a word I would use to describe Mila. Oh she has learned to portray the part well, but she does so in self preservation all the while plotting to escape and waiting for a time to do so. Her first meeting with Alek left her both scared and oddly thrilled. Never has she been so attracted to a man, but he is the enemy. At least he is until he saves her from a fate worse than death, a marriage to his brutal and malicious cousin.

Combustible chemistry leads to some very steamy moments between Alek and Mila, even before they trust each other or discover just what they would do to keep the other in their life. Their story is dark, dangerous, very steamy and absolutely enthralling. If those are elements that you love in the books you read, they this book has my highest recommendation.

This is the 1st story of The Valkov Bratva Series where we have rival families trying to get the upper hand on one another. Mila is a pawn in her father the Don’s plan only for Alek to foil those plans and ends up taking her on her wedding day to a horrible marriage to his cousin, Andrey the son of their Don. Mila is a curvy beauty not looking forward to her marriage and has mixed emotions when Alek takes her as a prisoner. Only problem is he treats her as much more than a prisoner and protects Mila at all cost. These two fall into an agreement, marry and start their acts of revenge and taking control of his Bratva family away from his uncle. When woman are born into the Bratva they are only used as bargaining power and Alek has no desire to do that and what he gets is one strong smart partner who ends protecting her and Alek when things become dangerous. These two become one powerful Bratva couple out to accomplish everything they can to protect woman and get back a family way of life in the Bratva. Title: Stolen by the Bratva (The Valkov Bratva: Book 1)
Author: Ava Gray

Review: This book started off with a promising plot. I liked the vibe of the FMC was promised to the MMC's cousin and I was actually getting into the plot but as soon as he kidnapped her it went downhill and fast. Aleksei is besotted by Mila from the jump, and I mean, I'm into it but then he becomes obsessed to the point of nearly taking her virginity within the first 24 hours of them being on the run together. Just seems odd to me as it was way to early and skipped past actually building a connection. I mean she was tied up on the bed for the first few days FFS as he didn't trust her not to run, like helloooooooo. Also I didn't like her father and his men after what they did to that women in the back room, absolutely disgusting! That was the first ick for me. How Mila could stand by her family after witnessing how brutal the men are towards women and just accepting her fate. I would have run a long time ago to avoid that being my life.
Also, the continuous remarks about her weight was just unnecessary. Like we get it, she's got curves, no need to keep going on about it. The ending was VERY abrupt and overall, it just wasn't for me. I wont be continuing on with this series, just not my vibe.

Stars: 2.5/5 ★

I absolutely loved Alek, he was everything a Bratva man should be. Mila was smart and not afraid to stand up to Alek. When they met, they didn't know who the other was. Alek didn't know she was the one who was supposed to marry his cousin. He ends up kidnapping her on the day of her wedding and everything is off and running after that point. Alek's cousin is a cruel and vicious, as is Mila's father. It's no wonder she doesn't want to marry him. There is no trust between Alek and Mila. They constantly question each other's motives. They manage to finally let go and decide to trust each other, but it was a process. Alek may be Bratva, but he is smart and wants better for his men. In the end, people get what they deserve.

Mila has never really felt important to her father, he was always complaining about her weight. She finds out just days before her wedding she is about to married to their enemy. Her fiancé seems to be the type as her father and knows her life will not be happy one. She is attracted to his cousin, Aleksei.

Aleksei cannot believe his uncle is looking cementing a union between them and their enemies. Is Mila just like the rest of her family or is she truly an innocent caught up in this game. He cannot let this union take place and just for the sake of the family, he cannot bear for his cousin to hurt her. He plans to abduct her at the wedding before they are married.

Now he has to families after them, hers and his, he will do anything to protect her.

*Check Trigger Warnings”

Aleksei is one of several brothers whose dad’s murder has left the Bratva in less than ideal leadership by their uncle and cousin. Aleksei is told of a marriage arrangement between his cousin and the daughter of the head of a rival family (Mila). Convinced that this is a bad move for the family, Aleksei decided to stop the wedding at all costs. When things don’t go exactly as planned Aleksei kidnaps Mila and eventually decides to keep her.

I liked this book, you might want to check out trigger warnings because it is pretty dark before Mila and Aleksei get a HEA. Overall a decent start to a new series and I will definitely want to read on to see what becomes of the rest of Aleksei’s brothers.

I loved Stolen by the Bratva Book 1 of The Valkov Bratva. Alek knew the deal his uncle was making was wrong but he wouldn’t listen and Alek isn’t the leader. He knows his cousins marriage to Mila isn’t right and he needs this stop it. He wasn’t expecting to have feelings for her but he can’t seem to keep himself in check. Mila didn’t want to marry a cruel man and that’s what she was getting until Alek saved her but now she’s his prisoner. Is it better? He has new ideas that will benefit the, both will Mila agree with him? I loved the storyline and the characters. He never thought he’d marry but looks like Mila is changing his mind. I would definitely recommend this book.

Wow, I was astounded reading this book I couldn't put this book down, the story had developed well and the characters were sensational. Mila's father thought he would never be able to make an alliance because she had some weight on her. Alek met Mila not knowing that Mila was promised to his cousin he was a dangerous man that will take all of what he wants. Mila's father had a deal with the cousin, to marry his daughter, but when she was kidnapped at the wedding it was a shock. would the deal still stand. Alek liked her she had been the only one to stand up to him. The chemistry between them was sweet.

Call it Love at first sass

****SPOILERS****

Mila and Alek have a magnetic attraction from the beginning. I love his obsession with her. And the surprise when it clicks for him that she’s at the alter.

Alek was heroic throughout the book. For being morally grey he has a strong set of convictions in balance and morals.

Mila may have been kept away but somehow managed to still develop empathy, loyalty and the ability to see through nonsense.

The book did a fantastic job of bringing you into action scenes and drumming up excitement.

I would recommend this book to anyone interested in a twisted take on Romeo and Juliet where the bad guys end up dead in the end.

Stolen By the Bratva, book 1

I just wasn't feeling this book. Huge contributing factors are MFC Mila - she wants to be a tough gal, "thinks" she is, but as I read it, no she's not. She stands up to noone, or for what she believes/disagrees with. MMC thinks he's a tough guy, sex is his way only, bratva women are to be seen and not heard, indecisive on whether to trust the woman he plans to/does marry, so he figures they'll just have sex again. The sex - if you're one of those looking to get blown away by fantasy sex scenes, these are only mediocre. There are only so many ways to describe it, and this one tends to recycle.
I won't be reading the other offerings in this collection.

WOW! To say this story was action packed would be a major understatement. The story is well written and entertaining. The H/h characters are well developed and strong, each in their own right. I loved Alek and Miłan and the eventual happy ending they have. I loved the story and would highly recommend it. There is violence all throughout the story and there needs to be trigger warnings regarding the violence against Rosamund, even though the actual acts are not described but the aftermath told a lot.

Ava Grey has done it again with a book filled with suspense, drama, angst and spice. I loved the storyline it was original and page-turning. The characters were complex with an instant chemistry that’s undeniable. I have waited for this bill because I love Mafia/Bratva tropes especially with intense MMCs and strong FMCs. This book has it all and I enjoyed it from beginning to end. I laughed, got teary eyed a few times. It kept me at the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. This is the first book in The Valcov Bratva series and can’t wait to see who’s in the next book!!!.

Aleksei and Mila. Her father is hateful and always putting her down. He has arranged a marriage to a hateful abusive man. When she meets his cousin Alek there is instant attraction between both. Alek kidnaps her thinking shes a threat to the Bratva but finds out shes innocent and its her family thats the threat. He also finds out that his father and uncle are planning something. She also has a past that comes back to haunt her. This is a dark mafia romance with passion, kidnapping, secrets, lies, protective alpha male, and did I mention passion.. Loved it.

Aleksei steals his cousin Andrey’s bride, Mila, to keep the wedding from happening. He knows their will be bad for his family because he knows there is a hidden agenda. He doesn’t expect to fall for Mila himself, pretty much right for the start, as does she. There is some distrust due to their families, but they do come through for each other and ferret out real truths, murders, and who their real family is. Mila’s father and his cronies are horrific, but some of Alex’s family are no better—I am glad that gets dealt with.
