I was only fourteen and was already a Duke. My father had died early that left Mother and myself alone. Several years later we were doing fine. I was invited to a supper with several other businessmen. A woman came in and was nice to all of us. I had to sit by her during dinner we began argue disagree. This lady was beautiful but spoke her mind. I was leaving early when I saw the young lady following me. Welcome to our lives enjoy this book I did.
The hero doesn’t like people who are looking for a raise in their social status like his neighbors. The heroine is his neighbor, but isn’t a social climber like his family. When she lays into the hero, he shuts her up with a kiss that is witnessed by a gossip so they marry. Then there are some twists and turns which add to the plot. It was a good read.
I really enjoyed this book. It was certainly a rollercoaster of emotions. Which started fast, got faster, and then everything started to make sense. There were more twists and turns to make you feel dizzy. There were some very satisfying moments when you felt like shouting YES at the top of your voice.
Aaron and Dorothy did it to themselves, they were seen in a compromised position. At that time they did not know each other well, nor did they like each other, they were like fire and oil..and as fire and oil are very combustible,so was their relationship. Irresistible to each other. Thank you ♥️
Great storyline! I really enjoyed reading this one about Aaron and Dorothy. They obviously came to really love each other and I found their story really heartfelt and good in a deep and meaningful way. I would recommend this story to any who like a good historical romance.
Aaron and Dorothy both have fiery natures which causes them to react rather than think and so they end up arguing when they should be talking and working out their problems which brings about their marriage in the first place in this very enjoyable story
A story filled with confrontation, love, kidnapping and a scandal that brought about a marriage. Many ups and downs that brought out the best in two lovers.
He is wary of fortune hunters and she is being pressured by her brother to marry money. They become neighbors when her family buys the house next to his, and the rest is the story.
