I thought this would have a little more depth with each episode but after a strong start it became nearly unreadable by the time I got to the WWII raids. Half of them, if not more were a failure and didn’t seem to have an impact on the war effort. The raids early in the book for the most part did have an impact on history. I’m not belittling the lives lost in the failed raids and many of them did lead to success/lessons down the road but to me they could have either been skipped or combined with the successful ones. The other flaw is that there is more information on Wikipedia than the two pages the author spends on the raids. If for some of the more influential raids the author expanded the info to 4 pages that also could have helped.
