State Shapes: California would be a great book to use in your classroom. It is from the perspective of a tour guide and has a lot of good information in it. It tells about the attractions, the name, the flag, the animals and much more in the book. It is written in a way that it has kind of questions and answers that would come from a child's point of view.

I liked the illustrations in the book. It had maps and showed where the main cities are in California. I also liked that the book was cut out in the shape of the state of California. I think the kids would really like that.

I would use this book when you were talking about geography in your classroom. It has a question and answer on the bottom of every page and that's neat.

California is a phenomenal educational read describing almost every aspect of the state!!!! This would be great for children studying this state. It is pieced together like a textbook that children would take joy in reading. I would recommend it to teachers teaching about this state. It would be used in the classroom as an information text about the state.
