Ava: Part Two

Rate this book
One look from Zeke, and my world is set on fire. One touch and I feel like I’m drowning in a storm I can’t escape.

He’s everything I never wanted—and everything I can’t resist.

The tension between us is electric, and it’s only getting stronger. A dangerous, brooding power that makes my pulse race and my every instinct scream to run.

But there’s nowhere to hide. Not from him, not from the dangerous truths that are slowly unravelling, truths about the world I thought I knew, and secrets about me that I can’t deny.

Falling for Zeke might mean losing myself, but walking away could cost me everything.

Part Two is packed with adventure and romance that will leave you breathless. This is a journey of destruction and betrayal. Will Ava survive what’s coming, or will Zeke’s dangerous pull consume her? If you like enemies-to-lovers, fated mates, a lot of action and less steam, you'll enjoy this series.

~ Wolf shifter MF
~ no spice
~ Academy/College
~ suppressed wolf

1/5 🌶️

This series has great bones, this second book just became too repetitive, too slow and the heroine began to tred into TSTL territory. I absolutely loved how Shadow (wolf) was a crazy psychopath and for once the wolf was insistent he would have his mate no matter what his human said. I’d love to see more of this in shifter novels.

This is definitely a YA romance however and the spice was seriously lacking. We had more build up and when they finally get together it’s one small paragraph. I don’t have any desire to purchase the third book.

Still good, I still like the characters, but it’s kind of getting a little long-winded for me. I feel like it’s the same situation over and over again.

Boring YA

No spice. Story just drags. Its so sloooow. All 3 books could be condensed into 1 book. No communication btwn MMC & FMC. Its just, "let's talk" yeah, "let's talk" . How many weeks in a row you gonna say that and nothing happened. Boring. I gave up half way through.

My god, Ava’s annoying as hell in this one. As soon as the plot starts to go somewhere she starts having a panic attack or changes the subject. Not to mention every touch with zeke ends with her pushing him away. Just give us SOMETHING.

If she doesn’t want to learn what species she is and how she killed Clare and her friends, give us her dad’s POV, I don’t care to read about how she can’t breathe anymore. I can’t fucking breathe with the lack of action.

She’s so naive. It’s crazy how she’s had no character growth, after 2 whole books. She was going to turn herself in to the Council. The evil beings who want to use her, for what? Defending herself? Clare and her friends were going to kill her, wdym you need to be punished??

I can’t with her POV. I need someone else to carry this story. Literally anyone besides this stupid, scared little girl who has yet to make a good decision and thinks she knows better than everyone else. Overinflated ego, much?

SO GOOD

Let’s gooooo! Spoilers ahead ‼️‼️🚫⚠️

FMC: Ava
MMC: Zeke

Okay so just like with the first book, I was very frustrated at the beginning of Part 2 because Zeke wouldn’t tell Ava they were true mates. I mean she went through that awful depression when he was in isolation for 4 days and between not having memories of what happened when she gets beat up and beats others up, confused of her own feelings and her bodies reaction to Zeke, it’s hard not to feel sorry for the girl. She had no idea what was going on or what to feel, and had he just told her it AT LEAST would’ve answered why she reacts the way she does to Zeke.
However, with how stubborn she was to come to terms with being more than human, I’m not sure if him telling her sooner would’ve made a difference. She’s very frustrating sometimes, but I love her smart mouth. I love her father too! I love that he always believed in her and never doubted her abilities, even when everyone else thought she was human.

Sooo the Jared thing. I wish Zeke would tell Ava what was going on there. Ava tries to see the good in everyone and treat them how they want to be treated. I love that this story points out the “systematic issues” within the hierarchy of wolves. But she has to know what’s going on because she considers Jared a friend. She’s already upset at the idea she’s a murderer, and her beast of a mate (not an insult to Zeke) is blood thirsty and doesn’t mind killing. They have to have this talk at some point soon.

So far, so good with this series. Can’t wait to start part 3! I’d love to know what Mr. Patrick is. I can’t wait for Ava to unlock her full potential and blow everyone away for ever being garbage to her!

If I thought the first book was intense, Ava: Book Two took it to an entirely new level! This installment had everything I lovefrustratingly good action, a painfully delicious slow-burn romance, and Ava’s trademark attitude that makes her such a standout character.

Ava’s smart mouth and unyielding stubbornness shine even brighter in this book. She’s fierce, unapologetic, and doesn’t hesitate to challenge those around her, which had me cheering her on at every turn. Watching her navigate the chaos around her while piecing together where she truly belongs added layers of depth to her journey.

The action kept me on edge, the slow burn left me screaming for more, and the mystery of Ava’s place in the world was gripping from beginning to end. L.G. Savage knows how to craft a story that keeps you hooked and makes you feel everything the frustration, the tension, and the triumph.

If you’re craving a story with action, attitude, and just the right amount of angst, Ava: Book Two is an absolute mustread!

great book so far

The lack of smut in this book is highly disappointing 😭😂 I can do with a slow burn but the lack of details with the very few sexy scenes as my losing my mind lmaaooo. But nonetheless this is a great book, very Interesting story line. Would highly recommend for teens and young adults, or anyone who doesn’t like to read spicy romance (can’t relate) 😂

Great sequel to the first book

Read this book faster than the first. Enjoyed reading it and will probably read the third book just as quickly. Yes the MFC is a bit dense in making sense of everything but she's finally coming into herself. Dad is freaking hot!

This series is so good, I’ve read books 1&2 and have just started book 3. I am literally addicted, unable to put the books down, so much action, in the Authors word no steam, this makes it so much more enjoyable for me.
Would definitely recommend this series there is nothing not to like

Solid book and story line. I do agree with others - this is long winded and definitely could’ve been condensed down.

Better than the First Book, in my estimation

Finally, some explanations and action that I was expecting in the first book. Would almost rather have read Book 2 before Book 1.
