Rate this book
WINTER 1925Newlyweds Camille Divine and Richard Owen embark on a dream honeymoon to the breathtaking island of Capri, accompanied by Camille's lady's maid, Cecily, and Russell Lewis, her new husband. The picturesque landscapes, luxurious Grand Hotel Auguste, and serene beauty of the Blue Grotto set the perfect backdrop for their romantic getaway. But paradise quickly turns perilous when a young woman is found murdered in the terraced garden.

Chief Inspector Richard Owen, despite being on holiday, steps up to investigate the shocking crime. With Camille's intelligence and resourcefulness, and Cecily and Russell's unique assistance, they begin to unravel a web of deceit and hidden relationships among the hotel’s eclectic guests. Tensions rise as suspects feel the heat, and the four face close calls, cryptic conversations, and emerging patterns that point towards a larger conspiracy threatening the two honeymooning couples.

As Camille and Richard dig deeper, they discover hidden correspondence, shedding light on a crime being undertaken beneath the noses of the Capri police. A second murder further complicates their mission, leading them into the shadowy underworld of Capri, filled with illegal dealings at a renowned art gallery, and the Villa Luminosa, home of a well-known art collector. The theft of old masters, and secret meetings between shadowy suspects heighten the stakes. When they uncover a connection to the murdered girl it adds emotional depth to their pursuit of justice.
Will Camille, Richard, Cecily, and Russell remember the honeymoon in Capri with fondness, or will the investigation they become embroiled in lead them onto a dangerous path?

MURDER IN CAPRI - The Honeymoon is a captivating blend of romance, mystery, and adventure set against the enchanting backdrop of Capri. Join Camille and Richard Owen as they navigate the treacherous waters of deceit and danger, proving that love and determination can conquer even the most sinister plot.

Great story but one suggestion for future books

This was another great book in this series. The ending was totally unexpected and it was wonderful to see Camille, Richard, Cecily and Russell work together in Capri to solve all of the crimes! I do have one sincere suggestion for the author. We are far past the point in this series for Cecily to continue to be portrayed with her St. Giles manner of speaking. While not wanting to forget her origins or how they made her the person she is I think it does her a great disservice to continue to write her dialogue as it was in this book. Just a suggestion but definitely not a criticism of this highly entertaining book.

What a Honeymoon!

Richard has arranged for a joint honeymoon for he and Camille along with Cicely and her constable husband on the beautiful island of Capri...A charming place with enchanting views and beautiful weather. They even receive an invitation to visit the incredible villa of the reclusive art dealer who seems to run the island's economy. It's a fantasy come true...until a flighty young woman is found dead in their hotel gardens. Richard agrees to help the local authorities... No spoilers but fasten your seatbelts...no one is who they appear to be...can our honey moon ers tie the strings together to solve the puzzle? Dive in to find out!

overall a good read

I enjoy these books.
There is a lot of fun locales and mysteries involved which are fun to “visit”.

However, I’m sure the author has researched such things, but Cicely’s accent was extremely annoying. It took a lot of the enjoyment away from reading the book. After many years of being with Camille, I would think some of the accent would soften. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Delightful Adventure

Capri is certainly a beautiful settling for a joint honeymoon for Camilla
and Richard and Cecily and Russel, but, of course, nothing is ever simple
for that foursome.

I have enjoyed all of the Camilla Devine books to date, and this one certainly
did not disappoint.

I highly recommend ‘Murder in Capri,’ and, if you haven’t read each and
every one of the prior volumes, you are certainly urged to catch up now.

Fun International Mystery

Fun International Mystery. Please let the author know Ceci!y needs to stop talking in the language she has chosen for her! After years of living with proper speaking English she should have learned how to speak English! It has become annoying to read her dialogue!

This was quite good, if a little obvious in parts. And being perfectly honest I can do without all the lovey-dovey stuff, thank you very much. I think I liked it better before they wed. Still we'll see how long it continues. I shall probably stop reading these books if it does. I don't mind it every now and again, but one can certainly have too much of a good thing.

Capri, island of intrigue

First off I would like to express that the character, Cecily, is my favorite in this series! I enjoyed the complexity of the case in this book.

Murder in Capri

Another brilliant adventure with Camille Divine and her team. With glorious exotic surroundings on the island of Capri. Kept me guessing until the very end.
