He doesn't remember what she can't forget...
Out of all the lakes bush pilot Jesse Bohen could have crash landed on, why did it have to be recluse Erich Sloan's? Their encounter four months ago was like a scene out of one of his bestselling thrillers. But Sloan's hostile behavior ever since has Jesse wishing his delirious words that night had been a work of fiction so she could close the book on them too.

Stranded in Sloan's cabin with a killer storm bearing down, Jesse must keep Sloan from remembering what happened between them or risk her heart more broken than her plane.

Holy Guacamole! This one is smokin' hot!!!

The 2nd book in Tiffinie Helmer's Wild Women of Alaska series gives us Jesse and (Erich) Sloan. It's a short book (novella) and I usually complain about those, but I don't think I could have survived any more of these two -- they are a combustible pair. I'm absolutely certain that Sloan has the testosterone of 10 average men. Jesse has quite a bit herself, being a bush pilot raised by her father, also a bush pilot.

Although we don't actually see them getting physical until the halfway point in the book, the whole thing was literary foreplay, from start to finish. By the time I got to "The End" I felt like I'd been "rode hard and put away wet." Now that I've recovered, excuse me while I go back to read it again...

I just read the advanced copy of this book and loved it. A quick and fast read for me. Enjoyable all the way to the end. Sloan was a difficult hero that redeemed himself in the end of the story. Jesse was a great heroine as she was very capable of doing what needed done. Being a bush pilot in Alaska is very difficult for the male pilots and the woman pilots always have more to overcome. She was fun and lively and sweet. Truly a romance.

Jesse and Erich
There is history, but only one remembers. Interesting right it was. I liked that Jesse is so strong, she is no nonsense kind of women and I like that.

She figures out that Erich is a famous author and not only that that he is her favorite author. Getting stranded with him isn’t easy considering their history and the fact he doesn’t remember it until they kiss and things start to become clearer.
Great story I really enjoyed the ending. The narration was perfect for this book.

I read it and loved it, then I read it again and loved it even more as I recognized more of the clues!!! It grabbed me from the beginning and I could not put it down. Both of the main characters are compelling, the hero is so hot that the pages almost melt, and the story is delightful. The writing is fantastic - great pace and development. There are scenes that I'll remember forever (you will know them when you read them - don't want to spoil it for you), and I will read this one over and over because it is just that good!!! And I can't wait for the next one in the series.

I listened to the audio version of this book. Somehow I think it took away the voice I like to create when reading. The female voice narrating - the males voices just didn't do it for me. This does not reflect on the authors writing or storyline . Just my own personal opinion and my thought on the audio book.

The narrating was smooth and fluent. The storyline evident and interesting. But my least favourite book in the series or from this author. But non the less I still enjoyed it.

I intend to go and read the book myself..

This book is awesome!!!! This book starts you off in the action and never lets up until the end. Jesse crashes right into the enemy of love and heartache. The book has lots of twists and turns that keeps you interested all the way to the end. Great descriptions of everything around the character that makes you feel like you are actually there with them.

Oh so romantic, earthshattering love, intense chemistry, deep yearning, superbly written, loveable characters, could not put it down, left me wanting more. Sloan and Jesse's story was all this and more. I enjoyed every single minute. All of Tiffinie's books are great and I recommend Bushwacked to anyone that likes an intense abiding love.

I like this women of Alaska series. This is Jesse and Eric's story. Jesse is the pilot that brings food and things to Eric, a grumpy recluse writer in the Alaskan woods. When Jesse's plane engine fails she gets stuck with Eric overnight. Problem is they slept together 4 months ago but Eric was sick and doesn't remember. But he wants Jesse and wants to push her away!

Picked up these "wild women" stories at a free little lending library in my neighborhood. They were easy, quick reads. Short stories, so the plot advanced preeeetty quickly, but I still enjoyed reading it!

Quick story. Female bush pilot in the Alaska wild has to weather a storm with a reclusive, grumpy author when her plane is damaged bringing him a delivery. Still waters run deep and there’s more to the hate-hate relationship between this pair.

This was a steamy short page burner. The chemistry was incredible and I really wanted things to work out. Even with a short story, these characters felt developed.

Fun, sexy, intriguing. I spent the books imagining what happened between Sloan and Jesse, but was not expecting the full extent of it. I really loved them. Together and individually

Bushwhacked's Jesse and Sloan will not only sweep you up but will leave you breathless.

Jesse has been holding a secret from Sloan for four months, but just how much longer will she be able to keep that secret ?. Now with her engine stalled out she's gliding into Whisper Lake. Its going to be either her greatest landing or well it won't and keeping that secret will be a lot harder than this landing. Especially when all Jesse wants to do is grab that cranky aloof man and kiss the living daylights out of him. which is a little hard to do when the man leaves his list nailed to the post on the porch avoiding her. But today its going to be hard to ignore her . Now to land this plane in one piece!

Sloan knows staring at his typewriter isn't going to get this book written but for the first time he is stuck . Somehow it has something to do with Jesse and for the life of him he isn't sure what but it dances at the edge of his awareness .Hiding from her during the deliveries isn't solving anything either. with a glance out of the window he sees a silent plane gliding in, but not any plane, Jesse's plane! With his heart hammering like it hasn't since well he can't remember the last time he felt this way and now isn't the time to figure out why that is, he races out the door.

Now these two will be force to face their own storm the one that has brewing between them which could be a larger problem than , a plane that isn't going anywhere, and storm barreling down on them out of the blue. But it also may just be the best thing to happen to Sloan since he decided to hide himself away in Alaska.

This is the first book by Helmer I have read and I loved it. I don't usually read contemporary romance and I just loved this story. Erich Sloan is an author that lives off the grid in the wilds of Alaska. He no longer wants to be a part of the world. Until her. This story got my attention right from the start and I couldn't put it down until it was over. Some books I read have unnecessary information and I get bored or doesn't give me enough and leaves me wanting more. This book was perfect! From beginning to end it was just a perfectly written love story. I can't wait to read more Wild Woman of Alaska from Helmer.

I'm going to Alaska! Because these people have to be real, don't they? Tiffinie brings her characters to life in a way that makes you want to trek out to Whisper Lake yourself just to watch the sparks fly. How could you not love Sloan, a man so tortured and yet starved for love? And Jesse is just plain irresistible, tough, but sassy. They freeze each other out in the hottest ways. Wild men and wild women? Bring 'em on, Ms. Helmer. Loved this novella and I so hope these lead to the novels like her first series, Wild Men of Alaska.
It's no wonder there are northern lights in Alaska!

Whenever a new book by Tiffinie Helmer comes out I get super excited because I know I will be in for a treat, and she did not dissapoint with Bushwhacked. Tiffinie's has the ability to transported me to Alaska when I read her books, and I want to come and see it for myself. As usual the characters are complex and likable and there is plenty of sexual tension with some steamy lovemaking. I had a really hard time putting the book down and I am afraid the housework suffered just a bit.

I read EVERYTHING that Tiffinie Helmer releases and I have to say that Sloan might be my FAVORITE hero yet. Ex-military, best-selling thriller writer, recluse, and all around SEXY bad ass. What else could you want? The twists and turns, secrets and sex, lust and love in this story is incredible. If you're looking for an Alaskan adventure with a lot of heart, look no further.

Another great novella about the "wild women of Alaska", Bushwhacked is the story of Jesse and Sloane. After Jesse's plane crashes while making a delivery to Sloane's off-the-grid cabin, they are trapped by a fast moving storm. Sloane is having trouble hiding a secret desire from Jesse, but Jesse has a secret of her own.

Tiffinie Helmer is one of my favorite authors and this book is another reason why. It's impossible not to love the characters, both of them are so strong but have a bit of vulnerability. I wanted to be Jesse and I definitely wanted Erich. I can't wait for her next book!
