Before Me is a collection of poems written by science-fiction author, S.E. SEVER. It touches on matters of life, love, religion and death with a unique language emanating from a surrealistic mind.

“The young poet or the wise distiller of truth, most writers get to be one or the other, but S.E. Sever is one of the rare ones that got to be both. Her words are trimmed down to the subatomic, to the essence of her persona, and yet they are as elegant as rain on flowers." – Trevor D. Richardson, Author of American Bastard
“S.E. Sever haunts us with visions too dreamlike to be real, too familiar to be false. Her trademark is a stunning attention to detail. The effect is manifold—profound, scarring, bizarre, charming, unique, paradoxical.”– Henry Sane, Swamp Biscuit and Tea Magazine
Before Me is a collection of poems and short poetic stories. S E Sever writes with precision. Her words flow like water. The subject matter is time, love, life, death, loss, being lost, consciousness, awareness. The book in itself is a transhumanist glimpse of the human condition and of the human struggle with time, consciousness and awareness. There are White Clinic elements of horror, pain, suffering and the end. It is impossible not to recommend this book based purely on the wonderful use of flowing language, apart from the ideas and terror that the words suggest.
