Stardust is part one in a series told from Peaches POV. The story gets off topic one too many times. Peaches' works at a bookstore in a small town when Dalton charges through the door knocking her off her stool. Dalton is an actor running away from reporters. Random dialogue consumes the story with mundane chit chat. Most of the sex scenes were ruined with sarcasm and odd names identifying the anatomy of ones body. The randomness added with the humor made it corky. Many sexual euphemisms. I'm not sure there was a plot just a bunch of randomness. The story was strange and corky. Peaches is a plus-size twenty-two year old who is confident yet self-conscious of her curvy figure. Dalton is a tall hard bodied young man who is an actor interested in Peaches. Peaches gets caught up in paparazzi scandal when she is caught with Dalton. Peaches is heavily scrutinized for her curvy figure.
The rest of the bundle includes short synopses from her other stories. The bundle indicated laughs, sexiness, and spiciness all of which I did not find. The sex scenes were graphic but not erotic. Most of the time they gave hand jobs or oral. Blind Date Teddy Bear. This is a sample with three chapters. Trevor is a large hairy man. Naomi is a short skinny girl. Just like the previous story this one contained graphic hand jobs and oral sex. There was not as much humor in this one. Kissing Coach was cute but predictable. The entire bundle had moments of humor but I did not find it sexy or erotic. Sure there was graphic oral sex but that is was not my idea of erotic. I did not find the sex scenes very arousing. This bundle included several sample stories. This was a great way to introduce an author, however I realized from reading this bundle that I'm not a fan of Mimi Strong's writing style. I liked how she created flawed characters but her randomness and odd characters was not very appealing.
Holy sheezballs! Mimi Strong goes strong with these stories. Some stories I giggled because it was funny, some I giggled because I was embarrassed, but meeeh, I don't regret readin those, gave some new perspective. Some stuff I never knew people can do, but do they even do thaaat?! LOL So much questions. AND SOME MUCH IDEAS! *grins*
I got my fair share of Mimi Strong and I think it was enough for me. Back to my dragons, werewolves books.
This book/collection is a sample of all Mimi strong's books. Most of them I have read but 2 I had not. If you are a fan and have most of her books, then don't buy this. If you want to see if you would like her writing then this is great for you. Even better, give this as a gift to someone who you think would like Mimi strong's writing. I l love her writing. Enjoy everyone.
I have not read any books by this author so thought I'd gibe this bundle a go.... and I'm very pleased I did. I thoroughly enjoyed every story within this set. some are longer than others but they are all very good, some slightly more detailed than the others but all very enjoyable to read. now to buy all the books that follow on from most of these!
I liked that each section of this anthology started with a summary, length, and spice level, so I knew what I was getting into; a cliffhanger is not as annoying if I know it's coming. The proofreading was pretty darn good in this, which I also appreciate. I don't remember laughing all that much, so I guess the author's sense of humor is not a good match for mine.
Full of teasers and first chapters this was. Some (two actually) of the stories I may go back to and order the conclusions to finish them, but the rest were just ok - a way to spend time while waiting.
erotic sexy stories from start finish. If you enjoy panty soaking erotic stories these stories will keep you entertained from page one to the conclusion. A good time read.
The stories in this were very hit and miss for me. Some were great (Kissing Coach) and others I didn't like at all (Stardust). But overall it was a good introduction to this author.
I thought this anthologies was alright. There were some short stories, and book 1 of the Peaches Monroe series. I read a few, then it seemed to get repetitive.
