An old man waiting at the train station finds himself talking to a teenage boy to while away the time. While waiting for their train, the old man thinks about how many people he has killed, so many he cannot count. He wonders why he must kill these people, why he is the one to do it and why he cannot stop.
G.P. Burdon predominantly writes dark thrillers, taking his inspiration from authors such as Edgar Allan Poe and Stephen King, but has his own delightfully twisted style. Anything can happen in his stories and he revels in shocking his readers, as he aims to provide original tales that readers will love and will haunt them long after finishing the final page.
Burdon currently lives in Hobart, Australia, and has recently gained international recognition after the release of book one of his 'Reaper' series, 'Angel of Death.'
This is a very strange book, it has you on the first page and you can't put it down. The writing style is great and the moment that you read the last line understanding dawns! Very good read.
