Better Homes and Gardens is the fourth best selling magazine in the United States. Better Homes and Gardens focuses on interests regarding homes, cooking, gardening, crafts, healthy living, decorating, and entertaining. The magazine is published 12 times per year by the Meredith Corporation. It was founded in 1922 by Edwin Meredith, who had previously been the United States Secretary of Agriculture under Woodrow Wilson.
Better Homes and Gardens is one of the "Seven Sisters", a group of women's service magazines.
Another Better Homes and Gardens book! You apparently can't have enough of those. This one has the title of Better Homes and Gardens Christmas 101 Wondrous Ideas to Make. And the introduction tells us:
The Christmas season stirs up magic like no other time of year. It seems the closer we get to that special day each December, the more we open our arms and hearts to those we hold dear. Isn't it wonderful?
That's one reason we put so much love into celebrating the holiday. Many of us can go an entire year without doing much to change our surroundings, but as Christmas draws near, we turn into merry little elves transforming our homes into glistening wonderlands fit for Santa himself. (Not to mention filling the kitchen with holiday goodies!)
We also have an unending passion to show loved ones how much we care. For us creative types, nothing rings more happiness than surprising someone with a gift we have lovingly created especially for them. In turn, our hears are overwhelmed with joy as we receive each thoughtful gesture of appreciation.
That's why we've created this inspiring book - because we equally treasure the Christmas spirit and want to share the warmth and wonder of it all.
So whether you find a new favorite recipe, a wintry decoration, or the perfect craft project to make for gift giving, our hope is that each page adds to the happiness of this coming Christmas and every one to come.
This book has five chapters:
1. Tis the Season
2. Simple Gifts
3 Sweetest Goodies
4. Trim the Tree
5. Light the Way
My pile of Christmas books seems to be getting smaller, not much smaller, but smaller.
Great ideas for decorating, delicious recipes, and fun craft ideas. Everything is given with clear directions and the photos are great! A very good motivation for the holidays.
