After being labeled a rogue agent, Jep Booth was asked to leave a special task force dedicated to thwarting terrorist attacks. Years later, he’s living on the fringes of society, surrounded by other rebels like himself, desperate for a sense of purpose. But when the agency that shunned him suffers a devastating loss, they have no other course of action but to seek help from the man they dismissed.
Seizing the opportunity to redefine his path, Jep returns, still determined to do things on his own terms. This includes partnering with Emery, an analyst, whose meticulous attention to details proves invaluable - despite her lack of field experience.
Undeterred by the risks and with more attacks imminent, Jep and Emery’s investigation uncovers a much more sinister conspiracy that may include some of their own. Now they must race against time to unravel the plot and prevent a catastrophe that threatens to engulf them all.
**Author’s Although this novel is inspired by the story of Jephthah from Judges 11, it is written as a contemporary Christian romantic suspense and is not intended to be an exact retelling.
What an amazing story!! I thoroughly enjoyed it! Probably my favorite of the Judges series so far, although I love them all! I found this book to be well written, fast paced, and full of suspense. The character development was excellent and I found myself growing closer to the main characters. The epilogue is included at the back of the book, no need to sign up for anything to have it or any bonus material sent to you. This book is part of a series but it is a standalone story. And I definitely recommend the entire series!! I’ve fallen in love with all the characters!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed "Jep", based loosely on the story of Jephthah from Judges 11. Jep and Emery didn't start out as friends. She was brought along to help coerce him into returning to a special forces task after several agents were killed. Jep had resigned after a run-in with the director of their agency, but he agrees to return to help with this one case if he has control of whom he works with. He chooses Emery as his partner, even though she's an analyst and not a field agent. Wary of Jep at first, Emery realizes that even though she'd only agreed to be Jep's partner as a last resort, everything she'd originally thought about him was now turned on its head. The two work well together amidst danger. When a close family member shows up as a surprising enemy/potential bomber, Em's world is turned upside down. It's a mad dash against time in this thrilling edge-of-your-seat book. Will Em and Jep uncover the plot before more people are killed? And what about their growing feelings for each other? "Jep" kept my interest throughout with plenty of twists and turns (even though I did figure out the villain(s) early on in the story). I recommend the entire series! The added Epilogue is an added bonus. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series, "Jael". This book was very good! Loved the suspense and most of all how God was the center of it all and of course the romance! Nice and clean and very respectful to the heroine! This author is very good and I would recommend this book !
