A cozy, wintery fantasy with great vibes and descriptive writing, but a bit rushed and underwhelming at the end. The world, lore, and characters had so much potential if there were more books to explore. The story wasn't incompleted but would have loves to see more of the romance, or just how the side characters ended up.
Still, I had an enjoyable time and never got bored. Quick, fun read I would recommend it if you want a short winter escape. Rating: ★★★
I must confess, I'm a tiny bit let down. The story is good, but felt rushed. Not incomplete, but lacking Ms. Galenorn's usual attention to detail. And I definitely felt left hanging where one particular character is concerned! I still love the story, and I recommend it as a quick read. I'll always read Ms. Galenorn's books.
