I love the Witches of Scotland Series and the latest series The Edinburgh Files is just as good. This one has the right mix of magic and history, making you feel like you could be there (or maybe we were 😂). You can imagine the sights and sounds and if you have ever been lucky enough to have visited Mary Kings Close in Edinburgh you will know the image Steven has created and the reality match. I'd love to see more history in one or more of the next books. I'm not ready to say goodbye to Anna and co just yet.
I have read the first series of 7 and the first 2 of this set. I can't wait for the 3rd one to come out. Please don't ever stop writing. Because I will always read your books.
I just finished the 2nd book of The Edinburgh Files. I am hooked on these books. I've been discussing this with one of my sons. He follows Mr Dalio and we've been talking about these books also following items in Mr Dalio s books.
Steven, another great chapter in the lives of Jessica and David. You have a gift of bringing the reader into the streets of Edinburgh and being part of the journey. Looking forward to book 3
David Jessica and the team continue, Jessica time travels , altered time realities, family from past and present. It’s another amazing reality turning magical adventure, well written innovative and exciting another page turner you can’t put down as you watch them grow and become more than just a witch
Oh so much fun! This story is a quick paced read. Exciting and entertaining all the way through. So looking forward to book three! Please write fast Mr. Aitchison, I'll be ready for book four in a few days...
Book1 had me hooked on The Edinburgh Files series and book 2 has solidified me as an addicted reader. Steven Aitchison draws mind pictures with his descriptive writing that makes you feel enthralled by the characters and story he weaves. His writing is magick!
I don’t like divulging much about a book, letting the reader absorb the journey on their own. I love your words Steven, you keep me enthralled in your storyline and like wings on a butterfly I flutter on those words. Ty
I have been working my way through this series both on Kindle at night and audible during the day. I will no longer be doing so now without cross checking the chapters first.
While enjoying a thrilling adventure suddenly the audio version jumps to book 3. I was seriously disappointed I didn't know what happened to Anna and David, there was nothing more mentioned about the weird murders that current David is accused of, WTF Dude talk about a plot hole.
Imagine my surprise when I went over to kindle to find that book 2 has another 5 gripping chapters that take this from a disappointing 3 star to an absolute 5 star read. So my review has gone from yeah it's alright, passes the time to yet again another gripping book I couldn't put down, I need to start the next one straight away.
The kindle version definitely has all the qualities that I have come to expect and love in Steven's books, the plot twists, the nail biting OMG moments that keep me up way past my bedtime just so I can see what happens next.
Although I do think Aunt Gen and I need to be having words over what we, in our house, are calling the "Square sausage" incident. I can forgive David the preference of having Brown Sauce on his Square Sausage Roll 🤨 but the Air-fryer 🤢🫣 I am traumatised, is she even Scottish.....is she even Aunt Gen 😱 everyone knows the only proper Scottish way to cook a square sausage is in a frying pan 😁🤣
So if you are listening on Audible just make sure the book chapters line up, it doesn't in the book bundle 1-4. As far as I can see book 3 is looking good on that front it's just a pity they managed to ruin book 2 and nearly ended in this brilliant read being given a lower rating through no fault of the author.
